    At the park where I run, there is a guy who sits on a bench each day and tries to tell others about the voices that he talks to. He seems harmless, other than being annoying, so we ignore him. If you keep moving, he doesn't follow you or harass you. We are pretty sure that he is mentally ill. I'm not sure if he has ever been diagnosed by a professional, but I am not qualified to say. However, he has all the earmarks of being bat-shit crazy. So, two years from now, he'll slip a little further and some event will occur. Then, he'll get a professional opinion and people will say, "Well, we knew..." When people tell me that they talk to invisible people, I try not to be too concerned about it, but I know that's just crazy.

    If a unit was in the field and one of these cameras was supplying support video... the insurgents would effectively have video of the battlefield and see the deployment of US troops. An obvious advantage. Worst example - mountaintop camps. Having a snapshot of the layout of the camp defenses before an attack.

    I think that he is very talented. Playing guitars with both hands is certainly unusual and interesting. However, piano players use both hands to play the same music. Talented, yes. Greatest, no.

    It is funny that people will not click-and-drag on a spider's leg, even if it is animated. On the options, you can change the control to manual. Then, if you hit the space bar, the spider jumps. The reaction of people watching is really funny.

    spider game If you click on a leg, you can drag it around. If you click on a back leg and drag it backwards, it looks really pissed. If you click anywhere else, it adds and insect and the spider goes over and eats it.

    I did that before takeoff on a demo 2 weeks ago. I suspected that there might be no type of wind indication. It worked out though, there was no wind. The cars were moved from the parking lot into the primary landing area. The "out" had been plowed up that week. The remaining alternative turned out to have hay bales in it. A parachute slalom course.

    This is just out, so they probably don't have one. Inexpensive, practical, and way ahead of the fashion curve.

    During an off-landing, there is a good chance that there will be no handy windsock to tell you the wind direction. Part of learning accuracy is to determine your ground speed relative to objects. People should learn to tell wind direction at a higher altitude by object movement.

    Here is the way that the process works. 1- You make 100 jumps (which means 100 landings). You think that you are stellar. 2- You discuss downsizing with people at your dz who know your skill level. They are against the idea. 3- You come online and discuss it. Same response. 4- You approach it light-heartedly and add some comments in the vein of "additional information" that we can all discuss. Perhaps we are not aware. 5- Still no buyers. 6- You discuss your Mad Skillz. 7- We add you to the list of people in the ongoing Mad Skillz thread and wait for you to repost about your broken ankle in another thread. Do a search for Mad Skillz. See if it sounds familiar.

    I was looking at the pic of the woman removing roadkill and she has a big smile. Why is it that if you point camera at some people and they smile, not matter what? I guess every job could become tedious...

    On this forum. I think that people should have one version of their opinions. The same people who criticize Tiger for his indiscretions will defend Bill Clintons as acceptable. There are people who posted that 9/11 was the result of US military attacks in the ME. Yet, when O increases the number of attacks in Pakistan (which, for some reason, Pakistan objects to), there is no similar response.
