alen G Cook wrote: Thanks, Sluggo, and I hope that your health is on the mend. A brief comment to make regarding the upcoming book about Kenny Christianson as D.B. Cooper. I don't want to make any statements about Skipp Porteus abilities, because I consider him a friend, a colleague in the business, and a competent professional. However, I long-ago discounted any connections between Kenny Christianson and D.B. Cooper. To make that assumption is a huge leap based on no tangible evidence. Kenny Christianson's involvement would require real scrutiny of a potential "insider's job." The airline world is a small community, especially back in 1971. Airline crews were on the move and ran across other company employees on a continual basis. The real D.B. Cooper would not possibly hope to get away clean if he worked with other employees of the same company. [Remember: Alice Hancock, Florence Schafner and Tina Mucklow were flying this route during November 1971 and they all were eye-witnesses]. The second thing is this: I was speaking on the air with radio host Mike Fitzsimmons (920 AM Spokane, WA) in November 2007, discussing the Cooper case. Mike got Lyle Christianson on the show and we debated about his brother being Cooper. I asked Lyle if Kenny ever made a confession to ANYONE about being Cooper. Lyle said no. Apparently, Lyle based his sole belief on his brother being the one because Kenny muttered that "he had a secret to devulge," He just couldn't say what the secret was. The real D.B. Cooper would have made a confession to someone. That is the basis for beginning an investigation. Additionally, Lyle made it pretty clear during our debate that he thought it "would be neat to have a movie made about his brother being D.B. Cooper." Several months later during a chat with Skipp Porteus, Skipp told me that Kenny Christianson's secret was probably that he was gay. Even a cursory examination of Geoff Gray's article from October 2007, leaves you with the impression that Kenny Christianson was involved with young men (maybe even under-aged young men. well, I still have the "X" chute question...... How many jumpers here are comfortable jumping without a reserve chute? would you do this exact jump without a reserve chute? was Cooper that stupid by taking the chute with the "X" and not knowing? he did destroy the good one? answer the many problems with your story before you go calling people "Idiots" just a few questions of many..... why did you skew everything on your map? "common sense and the obvious" correct!! so it matches your story! why do you claim Janets story to be true when you put Cooper on the ground way before she seen anything? common sense and the obvious? oops on Bob! explain how you think the flight path is 15 miles off to the east? remember they wouldn't have to go around Portland anymore! common sense and the obvious...oops again! explain how you rhink it's ok to use names such as Rataczak, Carr, O'Hara without there permission while stating they are lying? common sense and the obvious...correct...because they are not here to speak for themselves! explain why you think a oil pipeline runs along the Columbia? "common sense and the obvious" I think not! THE WHOPPER...explain how you think Matt is not being truthful about who you claimed TOG was! common sense and the obvious...correct again and busted again! stop calling people names when you can't even get your own story straight !! Some of those names are "lurking" and speaking, out side this asylum. Matt simply....PRICELESS "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' "Sorry, that's more phony evidence" everything you say is phony Bob, you can't even get Janets story right with your story! you put him on the ground before she seen him on the stairs! you won't answer the questions about your "phony" flight path! you show "phony" pictures as "evidence" you won't answer questions of why you skewed everything on your map to fit your needs! nothing! "That is what I am asking you. How did you do it?" Is this what you are looking for??? Note was sent to the LA Times on Dec 14 1971...supposedly from D.B. Cooper. I believe below is the decoded message. IT does NOT work with random numbers. It is done in patterns - like smilies w/eyes he uses 7 as the turn around number because it was the month his life would forever be changed - he became an outcast from his family and unemployable - he had no choice but to become a career criminal... 7698QA2753 (the code provided to the paper from Cooper). I am repeating this because I got the last 2 number turned around when I typed it into the thread a long time ago. Army 35608905 Navy 283-56-96 Example use the Navy number 283-56-96 versus - 7698QA2753 July was the 7th month and the day the he was dismissed as an undesirable. Why 7 is the turn around number. 96 last 2 #'s in Navy #'s Use 7 and reverse 96 to 69 gives you 7 69. Use the same on the last two number of the code - 53 becomes 35 after the turn around number. giving you 7 53 now you have 7 69 and 7 53 Q is Question - A is Answer. The 8 and the 2 reversed are the 1st 2 number of his Navy number This equates to 769 8 QA 2 753. The same system works on his Army number. 35608905 7698QA2753 3560 - 8905 Reverse 35 to get 53 Reverse 89 to get 98 so now you have xx98QAxx 53 July is 7th month 7x98QAx753 versu left x6xxQA2xx 2 is the first number of the Navy 6 is the last number of the Navy reverse their order 7698QA2753 "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' Bob, you have zero credibility and zero proof!! "Really? Lyle said his brother was DB Cooper? And how would he know this exactly?" Lyle implies this with the words KC told him before he died, plus the whole time decoded is at his house he is implying KC is Cooper? moot or not he is saying his brother is Cooper "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' "I agree, someone should check the briefcase" I'm positive it's not, just strange how it was written into the show almost like a prop because that should of been the first thing they checked and by glossing over it tells me something is fishy I just can't get past the bald head, no pictures of him with his rug nothing, too short and not that I know his personality but he looks like a creme puff of a guy, could be wrong but he just doesn't sit well with me as Cooper. the picture of him coming in thru the door seems to be a gag pic if you ask me, he has a pilots briefcase and what ever he has in the bag is not that heavy because he is holding the bag with his thumb and index finger, not much weight in the bag "for the gag" IMO. didn't know Geesman didn't know Lyle? even though KC amd G were long time buddies? "Briefcase? No way to prove it was The One Used." just found it strange how they said it could be the one! and never go any further without checking the manufacture of the case, just ended there when they said this could be the briefcase (deep music inserted) let's say that these guys are right about Lyle admitting it was a hoax, possibly Lyle talked Geesman into going along with his story and that it why he was so evasive on certain questions. also on the show you were pretty darn sure KC is Cooper, here you say he might be but not sure etc etc. "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' I noticed Hemmel put Cooper on the right side of the plane if you are looking to the back of the plane? they never looked into the "briefcase" of where or when it was made? still nobody answers what should be pretty easy to find when the money was deposited into his account they also claim the money was found 40 miles from the jump site? more like 16 to19 miles!!! was not a bad investigation but I think it was all for show and ratings. Blevins surely knows the military do NOT keep logs. Tracing his rank, grade, locations and recognitions will be readily available, but that is about all. Interesting. My 21 years of actual service seems to match Blevins version of accountability formations and reports better than the others. Maybe things changed, but daily reports are kept today, and have been since I joined. Even My MACVSOG Uncle says it was this way when he served, so that goes back to '62 for the Army. The report was basic, "110 assigned, 110 Present" If there was a difference then that would be annotated. "110 assigned, 105 Present. 2 Sick Bay, 2 TDY, 1 Awol" Then those NAMES would be listed "Sick Bay-Jones, Smith. TDY- Martin, Jones, A. AWOL-Johnson since 12 May 71" Maybe the Folks who don't remember this are not putting the "Morning Report" and Morning Formation together. Matt the same would be for the prison system, they would have logs as to when the prisoners went out on work duty, they would typically do the "dirty work" and was told not to talk to others (security reasons) if a road was built, guess who clears the brush, and this would not give the prisoner any clue as to how to build that road or learn how it's done! It's not a trade school...it's prison!!! "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' a military part was put on the rotor which did not belong on a civilian chopper causing the blades to seize up, that is the noise you hear in the background, the chopper dropped and hit a fence then went into the river 15-20 feet deep. No prob, just a little edgy before my first test run on the simulator, I have the weather set and it threw a wrench into how it flies. I have been practicing without any wind or temp changes so I'm checking to make sure I am correct with my settings, I have about 5 pages of data I can input into the system. my first run will be from SEA to Toledo or Maylay Intersection matching the time frames from the data I have, I have done it before just haven't put the weather in with it. it's a 23 minute flight from SEA to Maylay, let's see what happens with the weather involved? speed is the issue with the flaps from 15 to 30 degrees and gear down call for constant speed control. (need a co-pilot) speed at 160-170 KIAS "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.' IN my lifetime I have been called a "sick S.O.B." and 'crazy sick Bastard" but have never been told I need professional help, so I'm not sure what you are implying by me taking this test? perhaps this fits Bob a little better than myself? my trouble is that dam thing called "common sense" which most don't have, you know the guy who pulls up to the first gas pump leaving the one in front of him open? or the idiot who feels he is the only one on the road when he pulls in front of you like your not there? or the really mindless ones who do 60 in a 65 mph zone in the left lane on the highway? maybe I should take the test? the sad thing about old Bob is the fact of him actually believing his story! but so many inconsistencies show his story to be false. he describes the building he went into down to the color of the walls, this is before they "altered" his mind and turns around and gives several stories on his exam/Induction period, "was first to go" was one of the last ones there" was on a Saturday? a Government office open on a Saturday??? only been there once...OOOOOoooKKKKkkkk Bob this photo I am posting sums Bob up in a nut shell, nothing further can be said!! the fact of the matter is Bob can't handle the truth! bottom line "It is surprising how aggressive people get, once they latch onto their suspect and say, 'Hey, he's our guy.'
