Infrastructure - Round 3.... Fu@k YEAH!!!!

What no mention of Sarah Palin? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
If you are referring to the Liberal's Gun Registry it has ballooned to over two billion dollars from it's original 2 million dollar estimate and it does absolutely nothing towards stopping gun crimes. It does however provide loyal Liberal supporters unionized civil servant jobs in the government bureaucracy and really is nothing more than a shopping list for gun grabbers. Oh and gun grabbers are more than just the government and the police. The registry has been breached by hackers on more than one occasion. Once again you can thank the "Liberal Party of Canada" for treating law abiding firearms owners like criminals while the Liberals ignore the real criminals. Come on Turtle Michelle Obama is almost always going sleeveless. It's part of her style. But I have to say she looks like a Halloween fixture in that picture. The media fashion police are always slamming others so yes she should be slammed for her choice of colors in this picture. But it should be the fashion police who slam her, not her husband's political opponents. Of course since the fashion police are pretty much all elitist Leftists, Michelle Obama will likely get off scott free on this color choice faux pas of hers. Got to say though, Barack looks like a puppet in that picture. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

There is a large sports bar here in Calgary and in the sports bar there is a mini put golf course with you guessed it some water hazards. One day years ago myself and one of my friends played a round of mini put golf at this bar. What happened next? My friend lost his balance and fell into the water hazard completely soaking himself. If this happened to me, I would have immediately wanted to leave the bar and go home. But my friend was a trooper. Our mini put golf game ended, but instead of sulking home we went back to our table and consumed some beers and had a good laugh at the whole matter. The only thing hurt was my friend's pride and a pitcher of beer soon solved that problem. Not once did my friend ever think about suing the bar or the bar patrons who were laughing their asses off at this fellow who just fell into an indoor mini put water trap. This woman needs to get a grip and realize she is the dumb### who walked into the fountain soaking herself, who cares if the video went viral. It's not like we could identify her from the long distance video. Nobody other than herself can be blamed. But of course now we know who she is. Stupid stupid stupid. Yeah.. Not one word from CBC... http://www.cbc.ca/politics/story/2011/01/19/ottawa-iranium-cancellation.html Yes the MotherCorp did report on this story. Good on the MotherCorp for not censoring it. Just curious have people read some of the blogger comments related to this story? It seems to be fairly balanced pro-Iran versus anti-Iran. But one thing is for sure. There is no shortage of people who hate the government Minister Moore belongs to and are all too happy to be on the side of Iran's demands that this movie be censored here. Here are a few more stories being reported by the MotherCorp: Alleged war criminal awaits court in Calgary Terror suspect appears in Edmonton court once again good on the MotherCorp for not censoring this. But one really needs to read the blogger comments to see the mindset of some people up here in Canuckistan. The comments seem somewhat balanced but in a certain segment of the population the hate is so strong towards the present government that many people are all too happy to side with certain extremists and war criminals. Oh and if people are sensitive to "I hate America" blogging, they probably should not read some of the comments related to these stories reported on the MotherCorp. The MotherCorp definitely has loyal followers who dislike the USA very very very much. Isn't open "no questions asked" immigration such a wonderful thing? It allows people to bring their prejudices to a country that was once open and peaceful and given these people new soap boxes to demand that their special interests are met. Now if you will excuse me, I need to go learn Mandarin since my local community is dominated by the Chinese. Hey the Chinese are intelligent, hard working, family oriented people. But many of them want nothing to do with you if you are not one of them and since I can't speak the dominate language in my local area, I am definitely not one of them. I don't know why French is taught in schools outside of Quebec and parts of the Maritimes. We really need to be learning Mandarin and/or Cantonese. Ever Used Illegal Drugs? Then No Guns For You!
CanuckInUSA replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Obviously alcohol is destructive. Sorry if I left you the impression where I thought alcohol was harmless. I can't recall saying anything in this thread saying alcohol was harmless and it appears that by default my opposition to legalizing drugs such as crack made some people think I thought alcohol was harmless (got to love the assumptions people make on the DorkZone). I don't have a solution to solving the world's alcohol problems. Clearly prohibition has not worked in the past nor will it work in the future. Plus as long as humanity is producing hard drugs, people will use them. Prohibition has not worked in this regard either. But two wrongs don't make a right. Legalizing hard drugs isn't going to do anything except make them more accessible than they already are and more zombies will join the ranks down on skid row. But we can probably find some common ground here. Soft drugs such as pot while not harmless, are NOT the "boogie man" drug governments makes them out to be. How absurd, but this is the DorkZone. I have already been accused of "wanting skydiving to be banned" all because people have died in the sport (without saying anything remotely close to such nonsense) and now I am being accused for wanting alcohol to be banned? Too funny ... I have already stated my position on the matter and no matter what I say, there is nothing I say that means fuck all in this world. I am not the messiah who was sent to us to save the world. I have no power ... I just know there are thousands of "Dawn of the Dead" zombies roaming the streets of "Hastings and Main" in the downtown eastside of Vancouver and this is the result when people ingest their bodies with such harmful substances. Not that my opinion on how society should exists matters since I am not a politician, I am not a lobbyist, I am not a media personality, I am not a educator indoctrinating the next generation into my political idealology and finally and most importantly I am not a member of the Bilderberg Group. I am just like everyone else here, someone with an opinion. It is ridiculous for soft drugs such as pot to be treated any different than alcohol. But hard drugs like crack destroy lives. For all of you who want drugs like crack to be legalized, I am on board with your decision only under one circumstance. People must take responsibility for their own health. If you people believe that it is the right of everyone to consume anything they want, then there should be no public healthcare, no public social programs for anyone. Nada, nothing. Let people deal with their actions. If someone wants to turn themselves into a "Dawn of the Dead" zombie because it was their right to feed their body with these destructive drugs, then let them deal with the consequences. Sounds absurd doesn't it? Sounds like anarchy. Funny how a certain segment of the population demands that destructive drugs be legalized and yet these very same people are demanding their nanny state. Well you can't have your cake and eat it at the same time. There is either anarchy "anything goes" or there are guidelines law abiding people must follow. If legalizing hard drugs such as crack is so important to some of you people, what are you doing here on the DorkZone. Why aren't you in Washington lobbying the messiah savior of the world to legalize them? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
I can't speak for the authors of this video, but maybe Sarah Palin is not destined to make it to Washington since the phrase "When hell freezes over" usually refers to an unlikely event. I know I don't want Palin to be the GOP's presidential nominee since I figure it would be gifting a 2nd term to Obama. But it is amusing observing the Left go ballistic with the mention of her name. Yeah the Mounties are good for rescuing the hot chick tied to a railroad track. Unfortunately these very same Mounties have a "Taser First Ask Questions Later" if you happen to be a tired Polish immigrant who does not speak a word of English in the Vancouver airport, policy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Dzieka%C5%84ski_Taser_incident http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPe_hf7aBXM But I digress, Robert Dziekanski and the RCMP have nothing to do will telling the Government you are a drug user when you are applying for a firearm. ROFLMAO ... do I come off as some WHUFFO to you? Wherever did you get the impression that I would go for such an absurd statement. Must have been in a different part of the world because the "Dawn of the Dead" zombies of "Hastings and Main" are pretty much the worst crack heads in North America. I am not talking property crime here, I am talking about real life "Dawn of the Dead" zombies roaming the streets. Once again you are demonstrating how little you know about what goes on in Vancouver's Downtown East Side. If these people are being imprisoned for being crack heads, why are there thousands of them roaming the streets? You know the main Vancouver Police station is only one block away from "Hastings and Main". You don't need to worry these crack heads mugging you, they can't even see two feet in front of themselves. But I see where you are coming from. You want to legalize drugs like crack, allow people to destroy their lives and then spend tons of public money on your feel good "Dawn of the Dead" crack head special interest project. Many of these zombies are beyond help. Many of these zombies have already destroyed their brains and bodies with hard drugs. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Exactly ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Ever Used Illegal Drugs? Then No Guns For You!
CanuckInUSA replied to JohnRich's topic in Speakers Corner
Spend some time on Vancouver's "Hasting and Main" and then get back to me as to whether or not you feel all drugs should be legalized. Until people actual see this part of Vancouver with their own eyes, they will forever not understand the damage these hard drugs have done to thousands and thousands of people living on the streets as real world "Dawn of the Dead" zombies. Oh and while we are at it, back on topic ... if people admit on their firearms applications that they are drug users, then they clearly are NOT playing with a full deck. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -

Do you know anyone who has fucked up their life (and effected the lives of those close to them) after they have abused something like crack and/or cocaine (or other chemicals)? I know some of these people who have totally fucked themselves up. Oh I know what is coming next ... the good old alcoholics argument. Yes alcohol has harmed tons of people too. Two wrongs don't make a right. You may want to live in a society where people are free to get high on chemicals. I don't ... spend some time on Vancouver's infamous "Hastings and Main" and then come back and tell me society should legalize chemicals. There are thousands of people like this woman around "Hastings and Main". This isn't Hollywood, this is a real world "Dawn of the Dead" reality for Vancouver's crack addicts. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
Perhaps it would be appropriate for you to start a "keep the vitriol" thread. ROFLMAO ... sometimes I have to wonder about the mindset of the Liberals. Conservatives can not claim to be innocent with the vitriolic opposition they channel towards Liberals. Right or wrong, Conservatives tend to know when the are slamming Liberals with their vitriol. But while Liberals can equally dish out their vitriol right back in the face of Conservatives, for some reason they then turn around an deny what they have just done. Are they hypocrites or just dumb? Come on Liberals fess up. Just as Conservatives can not claim innocence, neither can you. Both sides are equally guilty of dishing out some nasty words towards each other. Mention the name "Sarah Palin" in Canada and Liberals go ape shit calling her every name in the book. But since the "Natural Governing" Liberals are not in power here (despite their constant whining that they should forever be given permanent power), it is okay for Liberals to target key Conservative politicians to be defeated in the next election (whenever that does happen). But when a Conservative tries to target a Liberal it is viewed as some politically incorrect thing to do. Enough of this "Politically Correct" bullshit. Conservatives and Liberals are both allowed to be targeted for defeat in any and all political elections. Don't confuse the work of a psychotic murderer with political targets. Say NO to this politically correct bullshit. But do try to keep your hate for the opposition in check. Contrary to what some may think, Liberals and Conservatives have a lot more in common than they like to admit. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I do agree that drug laws regarding weed are asinine. Weed should be treated in the same manner that alcohol and tobacco are treated. But that is about as far as I would go. I will never agree that drugs such as cocaine (or other chemicals should be legalized). But don't fool yourself into thinking weed is harmless. I know from personal experience exactly what everyday "wake and bake" weed consumption does to you. It is a harmful substance and only should be used at best in moderation. 'Shrooms on the other hand are a beautiful thing (as long as you don't poison yourself with the wrong ones). Oh and to get back on topic, whoever would check off "I am a drug user" on any application is not playing with a full deck. As long as you are not being blood tested, checking off "I do drugs" on any application just sends red flags to the bureaucrats processing these application to instantly reject you no matter what you or they think about something like weed. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
I'd do the sheep too if my only options were the sheep or Ms Pelosi. Wait a second. What about Mr Hand? Talk to the Hand. Ever wonder why the teacher in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" was called Mr Hand? Wilson!!!!!!!!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Someone who smokes weed and possesses a firearm isn't nearly as scary a scenario as someone who does harder drugs and is in possess of a firearm. "Drug Usage" is a rather generic term. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -

There needs to be some sort of limit and this is something I can agree with. People who are willing to commit serious crimes should NOT have access to guns. Now what constitutes a serious crime is a different can of worms. Nevertheless, criminals should not have access to guns (unless of course they obtain these guns illegally and well there is a reason why they are called criminals). "preppers" ... nutter survivalists or common sense??
CanuckInUSA replied to rhaig's topic in Speakers Corner
I will be ####ed if/when something nasty happens where I live. Fortunately I live on top of a hill so large scale flooding is not likely to get me. But we here in the modern world have become rather dependent on the system. The system that gives us water, electricity, and some sort of combustible commodity (natural gas for me) to keep our homes heated. Not to mention food being available to us at our local shopping malls. Cut anyone of these off for any length of time and then let's see who the "nutter" is. I have enough supplies in my home to help me survive about one or two months, but what happens if I lose access to these supplies? Also what happens once my supplies are consumed? Of course humanity has survived outside of the modern world in the past, but we here in the modern era have become far too soft, far too complacent and far too dependent on the system. Yes some of these people are a tad on the obsessive side. But at least they are not complacent. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over -
ROFLMAO ... I am dismissing you as someone who wants to give the already Big government bureaucracy even more power than it already holds. Yes comrade you need government mental healthcare bureaucrats segregating people who show the slightest sign of mental healthcare issues. But who gets to say what is acceptable "they are allowed to circulate in the public pool" behavior and who must be removed for the betterment of society? Too bad parents stop raising their children. Of course there has always been some people who have fallen through the cracks, but the real cause for many problems seen in modern society started when parents stopped raising their children. A few decades ago parents stopped raising their children to be respectful, hard working self reliant individuals. Instead now we have BIG government who tells us they can save us with their empty nanny state promises. Why bother taking responsibility for your lives when BIG government promises to take care of you from the cradle to the grave. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
