  1. A crazy season of NCAA college football has come to an end with an entertaining championship game won by one team that was better than the other team. But remember folks before you claim so and so team will be the best next year, let's not forget all the upsets that happened this year. Is LSU the best team in the NCAA? Who knows? With 100+ teams in Division One NCAA football, it is impossible to have a balanced schedule with a true playoff system. So year after year we will always argue who is the best. But we do know that last night LSU was better than OSU. Good game Tigers ... I was entertained.

  3. Not that I have any ties to LA (because I don't). But ... Go Tigers!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  5. Haha ... maybe we can agree that the only thing worse than Canadian politics, is US politics. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Where are these gangsters from? In some cases these are biker gangs meaning that "yes" they may just be Canadian born. But in many cases these gangsters controlling the illegal drug trade are immigrants, mainly from Asia. Who opened the doors to immigration no questions asked? Who got caught red handed stealing money from the Canadian tax payer? Who waters down the criminal justice system with "hug a thug" judges? Who gave us the young offenders act where a youth can commit premeditated murder under the knowledge that the max time they will ever serve (not even in a real prison) is six years. The answer to all these questions? The LIEberal party of Canada gave us all these great "hug a thug" laws. Crime does pay in Canada!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. In Toronto or any other big city where the illegal drug trade is profitable because the Liberals of Canada would rather hug a thug than to punish them. Absolutely yes ... In Winterpeg or Moose Claw? Who knows ... gangster wannabees maybe. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. Hey just because I am that much closer to the grave than the rest of you young'un southern #uckers, remember it's easier for me to be frozen in some snow bank and then unthawed once humans find a cure for ... death. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. Being forced into competitive swooping retirment because Keith ratted on you to the INS telling them that you were a national security terrorist risk while letting those stinking South Africans remain in the country only because he was jealous that he couldn't hit the entry gates even if his life depended on it ... ARMSTRO'ing.
  10. Georgia looked good yesterday. But so did USC? Is Hawaii better than Illinois? Maybe? Maybe not. In fact one would assume a 2nd place Big Ten school would beat Hawaii. Also, Texas spanked AZ State last week and AZ State was supposed to be a close 2nd to USC in the Pac 10 and Mizzou spanked Arkansas. The best game yesterday likely was Michigan/Florida. But Tennessee also played a close entertaining game against Wisconsin. Of course tonight Oklahoma plays West Virginia and tomorrow Kansas takes on Virginia Tech. What happens if Oklahoma and Kansas look good in these games with Texas and Mizzou looking good in their games and yes Texas Tech also beat a ranked Virginia team? Shit CU stunk up the joint in the 1st quarter of their game against the 'Bama and the Crimson Tide. But then the Buffs turned what looked like the laugher of the year into a close game. So what am I getting at? Who knows ... except that I still say a NCAA football playoff with the top 8 teams is still possible without sacrificing too much of the bowl season. But what do I know? Anyway catch the NHL hockey game in snowy Buffalo? Too funny ... but great for hockey I say. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. The vast majority of the communications are done in TCP because the delivery of the packets are guaranteed in TCP whereas they are not in UDP. But UDP is handy when huge volumes of information needs to be sent and when it is not a big deal if packet loss can easily be tolerated because even if you lose a packet of information, another one is coming right behind it. An example of UDP would be certain online gaming communications and/or a stock ticker (not to be confused with stock trading). So yes depending on the application, we do both TCP and UDP. But most of the time it is TCP. Oh and I saw something on the boob-tube about TCP/IP's 25th birthday. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  13. Happy (belated by one day) 25th Birthday TCP/IP. For those of you who don't know what TCP/IP is, it is the networking protocol computers use to communicate with each other on the internet. So do you TCP? UDP? Both? or ... WTF are you talking about? LOL Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. The Big 12 is much better than the so called experts give them credit for. There is a lot of parity between the teams, which results in a few loses per team. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Must be nice to be so perfect. I guess you have always been a model of perfection from a young age. However for most of us mortals, we made mistakes when we were young and some of us were lucky enough to have learned from them. Of course the deceased will not be making anymore mistakes and you seem to think that this is good. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. From one of the camera angles I saw, I don't think he touched the ball Dave, he missed it by about an inch. But I have to ask what was he and another 1/2 dozen people doing standing on the playing field while the play was still on? and why did he make the gesture of going down to grab the ball? Clearly the people on the Long Horns sideline were not thinking. Of course no real harm to TX since they lead 28-7 with 4:30 left in the first half. 19. 500+ jumps, three years in the sport, at least one cutaway on a sport rig, a coach rating, class 3 medical and much much more like passing all the tandem training. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

  21. Could I ever swoop? Haha ... smoke and mirrors, smoke and mirrors. Back on topic, sure other regions produce some good talent. But the SE breeds the best swoopers. There must be something in the water down there, or the beer since they have no water with their drought. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. Not sure about the birds. But if Chris is back in Ontario, I suspect he will be watching a whole lot of snow on the ground before it even begins to melt. I know these are just words, but I should seriously look into getting my sorry frozen Canadian ass down to one of those FL swoop comps this coming season. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Canadian. But remember the Canadian looney is worth more than the US greenback these days. It's not the DZs fault. Here in tax happy Canada, we pay more for everything. The DZ expenses are just so much much higher thanks to our socialistic governments who promise free healthcare but let people die on waiting lists since all our doctors and nurses have left the country. But I am getting off topic here. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Damn Phil you must drive like a grannie. When I lived in southwest Boulder, my commute to SDTR took me roughly 2 hours and 20 minutes and I wasn't driving all that fast. Of course my commute to MH was only 20 minutes from the same Boulder location. So it's a no brainer why I did most of my jumps at the closer DZ. But it was still good to visit SDTR, Calhan and Brush when they were open. Now MH is the place to go and those of us who started jumping at MH during the Jeff Sands era know the DZ is radically different these days. Oh and despite what I may have said in a similar thread a few years back when this force contribution came into effect, you will NEVER EVER catch me again whining about $22 jumps tickets. Up here in over taxed Canuckville, they charge me on average $30+ per jump to hurl myself out of a Cessna from only 9k maybe 10k and that is if you are lucky enough to even get on the airplane since we all know priority is always given to tandems, tandem cameramen and students. 25. This should NOT be a "gun control" debate as yes the issue of this pool of people with mental health issues you speak of, is the root cause of this incident. However, having easy access to guns makes carrying out such crimes easier for those with these mental health issues. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
