  1. What's the matter? Is your mind not open enough to watch something because you are afraid your belief of some mythical God is under attack? It's funny how Christianity plagiarised so many aspects of ancient Egyptian religion as if it was their own. Christianity is a joke!!! There is nothing true about that religion. It is nothing more than mis-interpreted astrology. Jesus saved the world? Give me a break. The answers are all in the stars people. Not in the fictional mis-interpreted book called "The Burble". Haha ... History has a way of repeating itself and what happened in late 1929 is poised to happened once again. Keep believing in fear. Fear is a good thing for you neo-cons. Fear keeps people stupid and keeps them from thinking for themselves. The neo-cons are the biggest threat to this world!!! Oh look little Johnny is showing signs of independent thought. Time to turn his chip off, thus eliminating Johnny. How many people would have voted for GWB had they been aware that Grandpa Bush (Prescott Bush) profited off a company which helped fund the rise of Nazi Germany. For all you other people with an open mind and are not brain-washed by the threat of fear, watch the video. As I said history has a way of repeating itself and that is exactly what we are seeing right now. The neo-cons do not want you to see this video, because they know their religion and the politics spawn by their religion is one big lie and only exists to control people. 2. Patriots 41 Giants 17 BTW: Go Giants!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  3. I sure hope this will not become a requirement in the future for people wanting to be president. Not that my opinion matters much, but here is my take: 1) Obama is a great public speaker. But so was Hitler. Now I am not saying that Obama is another Hitler. I am just saying that people are making mistakes following a charasmatic speaker with no regards for the real world experience these people bring to the table. 2) When I think of Clinton, I think of snakes. Is America ready for a female president? I say yes. I think America would think twice about starting wars if a woman was in charge. But Clinton is not the woman America needs and where does Bill fit into the picture. No if a democrate was to win, I hope it is Obama over Clinton. 3) McCain appears to be a noble none-arrogant man with life experience. But he does not have age on his side (he could die of natural causes while in office) and he has certain policies that still make me shake my head (giving amnesty to the illegals is one and Iraq ... well). Are these policies things he believes in? Or are these policies to appease the right wing of the GOP party? Who knows? 4) Romney comes off as an arrogant SOB. But he also says things that I agree with and he has a track record of real world business and government leadership experience. Plus I am not concerned about Romney's religious background (at least not right now) since I don't hear him preaching his religious beliefs to us. Like McCain I am of mixed emotions about this man and really do not know enough about him to have any strong opinions as to how I will feel if he was to become prez. 5) Huckabee comes off as a nice man with real world leadership experience running a past government. But I am sorry his evangelical preaching background concerns me and some of his policies make me shake my head. Did we not learn any lessons from the last 8 years? Think America is economically challeged right now? I can only see it getting worse if he was in charge. I hope this man does not become prez and it's looking like I won't need to worry about him getting the job. 6) Ron Paul is very much an unknown to me. From the small things I've heard him say, I like his message. But the media has written this man off from the get go and they do not give him much of an opportunity to spread him message. So where does that leave us? Will Bloomberg (sp?) enter the race as an independent and how would he influence things. I am happy that Edwards, Thompson and Guilliani have been sent to the showers. But what about the rest of these clowns? I wish someone else was on the ballot. But I guess of the big four I would like to see: 1) McCain 2) Romney or Obama 3) Clinton But in 2000 I wanted Bush to win and OMG was I wrong back then. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  4. Agreed ... There is no shortage of socialist Canadians who for years now have been wishing upon falling star after falling star that Bush would be assassinated. But Bush has still not suffered from a case of lead poisioning (yet). Now there is no guarantee that some loonie tune red neck would not pop Obama, but you have to think that security for him (if he does become Prez) will be just as high if not higher than GWB. The odds of McCain dying of natural causes are much higher. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  5. You are absolutely right. One has to ask why the mother too was such a poor parent to these two little girls and where was the rest of the family? While the father killed his girls, the mother was no where to be found to help protect them. I didn't want to bring this up, but I will. This incident occured on an Indian reservation. And the media story today is not "why was the father and mother such poor parents and can we freeze their asses in the snow". No the media story is look how Canada is failing the Indians. We need to give them more money. WTF? We already give them billions and billions of dollars every year. What are they going to do with more money? The leadership will just keep it for themselves and if any additional money does trickle down to the common man or woman on the reservation, they will only spend it on more booze. There is a shortage of workers in Western Canada and my hat goes off to the Indians who have left the reservations to seek better economic opportunities in the mainstream of society. But to continue down the path of just giving these people welfare money while not making them accountable for anything in return just leads to more alcoholism and more babies being abandoned by their ####ed up parents who never should have been parents to begin with since they can't even support themselves let alone take care of little children. I'm sorry, but I don't think Canada's nanny state is such a good model for the world despite what all our liberal socialists continue to tell everyone. There is no personal accountability in this country. Just a country full of sell professed victims. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  6. Two infant girls froze to death in a field in Saskatchewan Canada two nights ago while the temperatures dipped below -40 celsius. The father of these two girls was drunk as a skunk and in the middle of the night took these two girls outside dressed in nothing but their t-shirts and diapers. He then abandoned these girls (being drunk as a skunk) and they never stood a chance and froze to death in the fields. More can be read about this story here. I say instead of prison what we should do is the next time it is cold (don't worry all you Global Warming fans it won't take very long for the temperatures to be cold in Saskatchewan) we should dress this man in a t-shirt and diapers and put him in a remote field in the middle of the night to let him contemplate what a great father he was to these two girls. Of course here in Liberal "there are no criminals, only poor misunderstood drunk victims of society" Canada, this man will be free on the streets under house arrest in no time, to continue drinking his life away. Any dick can father a child, not every dick can be a father!!! Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  7. I know at a certain airfield in Southern Afghanistan it is possible to get some Tim'ies coffee and donuts. But I wonder if Bud or Coors is available? This is Afghanistan we were talking about right? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  8. I know this is a global website. But it is dominated by Americans. I'm sorry America but if you want to defeat the Taliban in Afghanistan, you can pretty much count on little help moving forward. Currently the USA, Britian, Canada and the Dutch are actually engaged in armed activity against the Taliban in Afghanistan (while the rest of NATO sits on it's asses doing nothing). But don't count on Canada to help you much longer. There are five political parties in Canada. One of them wants to maintain our military commitments towards defeating the Taliban, three of them want to cut and run and the natural governing party believes in hugs, pillow and tickle fights when dealing with the Taliban. Let's look at those five parties: 1) The Conservatives do not want to abandon Canada's military commitments in Afghanistan. 2) The Liberals say they don't want to abandon Afghanistan, but they want the military to leave and replace them with people who will conduct diplomacy (you know go hug the Taliban, give them teddy bears and tell them how good same sex marriage is ... LMAO ... not that there is anything wrong with same sex'ers). 3) The socialist NDP wants to cut and run and abandon Afghanistan. 4) The Separatist Bloc Quebecois also wants to cut and run. 5) The Green Party wants to cut and run. Now the Conservatives are far from perfect, but since we know the majority of Canadians can not live without their nanny-state natural governing Liberals calling the shots on how individuals should be allowed to live, we pretty much know that Canada will be cutting and running from Afghanistan soon and there will be no shortage of rhetoric coming from this frozen country of how superior we are to the rest of the world and that all the worlds problems can be solved by hugs, same sex marriage and tickle fights. WTF is wrong with NATO and our western world? If we are going to be involved in a war in Afghanistan with the Taliban and the radical elements of Islam, why must we insist on fighting with one hand tied behind our backs and the other hand down our pants. If we are not willing to go that extra yard, why are we even there? Enough of these half ass efforts. I don't agree with them, but at least the NDP, Bloc and Greenies are consistent. The Liberals are a joke with their "we want to rebuild Afghanistan but we don't want to fight since Canadians are peacekeepers" attitudes. There is no peacekeeping to be made with the Taliban, they will not respond to hugs and pillow fights and sure enough they will not embrace same sex marriage. Enjoy ... I'm sure there is no shortage of people willing to tell me I am full of it. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  9. and you're siding with the driver? WTF? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  10. I lost the picture. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  11. That's definitely old. I'm only 42. I must be ancient at 44 then. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  12. Haha ... I could be wrong, but I would be shocked if McCain isn't the GOP's choice. Then it will come down to can he beat Clinton or Obama (Edwards is cursed on the DEMs side being white and being male). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  13. But did he inhale? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  14. I watched chunks of last night's Dem's debate (or was I just blowing chunks after the debate) and I was not impressed with Ms Clinton's and Mr Obama's tactics. Too bad Edwards doesn't stand a chance what with him being a white male, but he had to have been laughing out how the two fronts runners went for each other's throats. The only things worse than Canadian politics (believe me we have no shortage of fruitcakes up here), is American politics. I could be wrong, but I suspect that John McCain will be the next prez. There are some aspects of the Senator that concern me, but he appears to be the lesser of all evils and at least he shows a sense of debating maturity Clinton and Obama lack. But what do I know ... We do know that Ms Clinton, Mr Obama and John Edwards are better than the current moron occupying the job. But this appears to be Mr McCain's presidency to lose. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  15. Let me see ... It's at least -20C degrees outside and I'd say about 4-5 inches of fresh snow as fallen on the ground in the last 48 hours. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  16. But some hardware component in the motherboard of my 2 1/2 year old Gateway PC computer is dying as well. I am afraid we are starting to see a trend that the technology we buy in today's world is only made to last a couple of years (we know the auto industry has been doing this for a long time now). We live in a throw away world where constant consumption is the norm. At least with a PC we can back up our data to protect ourselves when the hardware fails. But these gaming consoles appear to be just throw aways. PS: I am also having a different hardware issue on my 3 1/2 year old Hewlett Packard lap top. But a HP 16C calculator I purchased about 25 years ago is rock solid and will likely last long after I have left this world. Go figure ... Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  17. It is when you hate the Cowboys ... haha Actually I don't hate them. But my dislike started years ago when they (or the media) labelled themselves as "America's Team" and yes way back when they always won it was annoying. But now that they lose like everyone else, the dislike of "America's Team" isn't as strong as it used to be. I think we tend to dislike teams which are a big threat to the teams we cheer for. Now the Raiders just suck!!! Haha ... but I am a Broncos fan. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  18. It's great that this individual is able to pursue his athletic goals. But the IOC made the proper decision here. I only found about about this guy last night on the news, but when they showed video of him running, he's like the bionic man the way his prostetic legs let him bounce down the track field. [joke]With all the victims of landmines and IEDs from around the world, you would think there would be no shortage of other amputees this fellow could compete against[/joke] Now if you want to talk about where the IOC is wrong, I would like to know why the IOC feels women can not compete in ski jumping at the 2010 Winter Olympics? What a crock of shit ... the girls have every right to hurl themselves off of those jumps. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  19. Oops ... my bad 19-0 BTW ... does anyone know if the Pats won all their pre-season games? Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  20. This year was never about the Cowboys. It's about whether or not the Pats will be perfect. I can't see the Chargers beating them (I would love to see them prove me wrong because I am a Shula era Fish fan) and we will just have to wait and see who challenges the Pats from the Packers/Giants game. I know Favre is having a great year, but can anyone stop the Pats offense? I suspect (I hope I am wrong) that the Pats will go 19-0 this season. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  21. First off I see a future in SC for this thread. But I also agree that buying/selling carbon offsets is ridiculous. They do little to reduce the damage we humans do to the planet and in most cases the money set aside for some future green project rarely actually makes it there. If people are concerned about their own personal carbon foot print, then they need to do something about it and stop shuffling money from one hand to the next. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  22. I don't think the Pac 10 needs 12 teams and I certainly don't think the Big 10 (or was that Big 11 ... LOL) needs 12 teams because what are we going to call them? The Big 12? Sorry that name is taken. But a conference championship is only good for everyone except those who are afraid to lose and afraid not to be invited to a bigger bowl game because of the risk of the loss. But if top SEC, ACC and Big 12 teams must win that extra game in order to get invited to the BCS title game, why shouldn't the other major conferences Big East, Big 10 and Pac 10 also need to win that extra game. As far as NCAA football is concerned, these conference championship games are something to look forward to. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  23. Also, I would like to see the Big 10 and Pac 10 adopt a championship game the same way the other major conferences have. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  24. Works for me and I think it's doable without sacrificing much from the Bowl season. But the NCAA doesn't read these forums. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
  25. Unless it is the BCS championship game (which it was not this year), the Rose Bowl always pits the best of the Big 10 versus the best of the Pac 10. Since the best of the Big 10 this season (Ohio State) was playing in the BCS Championship game, the Rose Bowl went with the 2nd best in the Big 10 (Illinois). Of course we all know a Bulldogs versus Trojans game would have been great to see, you should stop whinning about something that will never happen (demanding that a SEC team play in the Rose Bowl in a non BSC Championship year). It never happens. Plus if you don't like it, get the NCAA to change the whole bowl season (good luck, you're going to need it). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
