What is easier to plan for and avoid?

I'm not going to read the three pages of this but I think it's easier to plan to avoid another canopy since altitude is on your side. I have landed off and under my reserve on a road with powerlines going down the side and found it difficult to see the black lines crossing the black road. As odd as this sounds, he's absolutely right. What really kills you is the tertiary impact your brain and organs have up reacceleration in the opposite direction. Instead of everything being naturally compressed and supported, they tear because they'll pulled in the opposite direction. They used to say that the best idea was to put your arms straight in front of you so that they go into the ground and keep you there. This was called the lawndart method. It's now widely accepted that you have just as much chance of your arms breaking off at the shoulders and staying stuck in the ground, thus ending your skydiving career. Thanks for the input. I got to jump it last weekend and the tail pocket will be done by this weekend and the next it's down to CSS for the 30th anniversary get together.
