I'll second that. Went to Dues Saturday night and it wasn't all that impressed. It's good, but imho, there is better. ------ Michael

RRiiiiiggggghhhhttt... You file a claim, they'll up your rates. They will raise your rates even if you're in an accident and it wasn't your fault. Statistically, you're more prone to get in another accident once you've been in one so it's in their best interest to raise your rates to cover their potential losses down the road. ------ Michael

Even though they have a sign on the back that says 'not responsible for broken windshields', they are responsible as their load was not secured. (edit - typo) ------ Michael

Hit up the museums (natural history or science and industry) or the Shedd Aquarium. If you're feeling really motivated, stand out in front of what used to be Meigs field with a 'Daley is an idiot' sign. My little brother stopped me when we were there last weekend. Food wise - Most places are good. If you've never had it, definitely check out a real Chicago style pizza at Unos, Dues, Giordanos, Eduardos or if you're real adventureous, Gino's East. Another touristy diner is Ed Debevic's. It's a short walk down Ontario from Michigan Ave. It's a 50's diner and the wait staff can be a bit 'harsh' but in an entertaining way. Be careful sending your spouse/S.O. down Michigan Ave with a blank check. Navy Pier has some cool shops and an Imax. The lake tours are pretty lame. If the kids are going, the observation deck of the Sears Tower or Hancock building are pretty cool if the skies are clear. If the skies are hazy, you won't be able to see very far. This should at least be a start for you. ------ Michael

Funny the first time - My mom keeps sending this one to me as something 'new' she found. I've seen it a few hundred times over the years. ------ Michael

Just roommates or roommates with benefits? If'n there's benefits, suck it up and go load up the fridge. No bene's, lock it all up and let her starve. Weed before food is a really bad choice anyway. ------ Michael

Yeppers...only 84 miles on her so far... ------ Michael

What's the problem? I'm pretty fluent in QB2004 Pro. ------ Michael

Mar did have at least two Ground-Rush.com t-shirts which are very rare anyway but traded one for a 'Don't tell anyone I'm a lesbian' shirt. Rev Jim has one and they will not be reproduced again with the dash (-) so he's a holder of a very rare commodity. ------ Michael

Remember this line? 'Wait, wait, wait. I'd like to toast the intersection of the two runways. OK. Let's go.' or 'Put a good word in for me today. I'm in a little trouble.' ------ Michael

That's it? That's a pretty low number. ------ Michael

Had a neighbor like that when I was living downtown denver. The best part, she was a foreign student and foreign students aren't allowed to get in trouble. She got arrested, kicked out of school and had to go home all in about a weeks time. The new neighber that replaced her was much cuter too... ------ Michael

Tablet PC...Blackberry...Blackberry is easier to manage in a very mobile environment - I'm a consultant and can be on the go a lot. In a corporate environment where there is primarily one (use this loosely) office building I could see the benefit. Since I'm a bit more mobile and could potentially be in more offices this week than companies you'll work for in a lifetime, I'll stick with my blackberry. While not as cutting edge as it used to be, in my environment it beats a tablet pc hands down - besides, the battery last longer and my 4 pound lappy is easy enough to haul if I really need to take a machine with me. ------ Michael

Yes - love it as it let's me be a bit more mobile and clients (and the boss) are none the wiser. It is an additional fee but generally included with all the blackberry services. If you're getting one for personal use, don't bother as it can be more than one would want to pay. Getting it for work, go for it - it's a great tool. ------ Michael

Most importantly though, stay hydrated. The air is dry even in Denver. If you head up to the high country, take it easy as altitude sickness is a real thing. I've been out here for a month now living at jump altitude of my former DZ and the stairs are still kicking my ass. ------ Michael

Bring your running shoes...Trust me...If you're really courageous, do it on a really hot no wind day. ------ Michael

You've obviously never lived in a mountain community. Human population 3500. Dog population 4500. Most places that are not food joints that I've been into up here will generally have a sign that states dogs must be leashed and/or have a dog treat bowl somewhere. My bank has a food and water bowl for customers who bring their canine friends in. And the water? it's one of those recirculating filter things. I'll stick with my cat. She's entertaining enough as it is when the neighborhood fox goes trotting through the back yard. ------ Michael

Tampa to Key West and back. Oh, had dinner in Key West and couldn't find a place to stay so had to go back. Was about 925 miles round trip including getting lost (damn Hertz Never Lost). ------ Michael

Ummm...Mary has no morals. Well, maybe one or two. Her kids turned out pretty close to 'normal'. ------ Michael

Depending on the location, the individual delivery trucks may or may not have gps enabled. Well, to make your steamy hot day more fun, it's 46 outside right now and the snow is melting. Debating on taking the bike for a short ride to go get the mail and possibly lunch. hmmm... ------ Michael

They do have it. It's just not available to the public. Your tracking number is tied to the shipping container and then the truck/airplane/transport mode (it's in) on it's journey and is available to the behind the scenes people, not the front line people you talk to on the phone. When in Memphis, try to see how you can get into the Fedex overnight sort tour. It's starts about 1:00 AM but is kinda cool to go see at least once. Big time organized chaos (or an automated santa's workshop). (edit for clarity) ------ Michael
