  1. Here's a couple links to stories on Denver's photo radar whoas: http://www.members.shaw.ca/halotic/radar/denver%20PR%20lawsuit.htm Here's an entire website dedicated to the topic: http://www.thenewspaper.com/ A product designed to beat it: http://www.phantomplate.com/ And the report that says it does: http://www.phantomplate.com/lo_print.html (scroll down) ------ Michael

  3. Being generous there aren't we Jake? ------ Michael
  4. The ones I used to use were friends so I had lots of faith in them. Anymore, I do my own so it fits in my schedule. Besides, it easier and faster for me to book my own than it takes to pick up the phone and call a travel agent. if you're doing something complex, use a travel agent. If you're looking for plane tix and a hotel, you're probably just as well doing it yourself. ------ Michael
  5. picking up a new toy today to make sure I'd make it up there and back in the winter.
  6. this just made me smile...thanx Mar. (rough day - went and hung out on the top of loveland pass for a short bit. The views are amazing up there) ------ Michael
  7. Nice...When you're driving to Rantoulio from Bloomington, take I-74 East to Rte 136 East. Watch your speed as there's a couple small towns that don't take to kindly to anyone driving over the speed limit. Although, you are much cuter than I so you should be able to get yourself out of it. ------ Michael
  8. Faulty Fuel Tank Sensor. Soonest they'll announce a new launch window will be Monday. ------ Michael
  9. You always win a parking spot next to me...Not sure what you're going to do this year. I won't have your back. ------ Michael

  11. Leave it. There's enough confusion that I run into when I changed mine since I'm not longer involved with the event to which it was used to promote. ------ Michael

  14. 1. from a command prompt, type 'dir /x' in the directory where the little shitz did their work. This will give you a short file name (i.e. 'ta1174 ;;; . ' equals 'ta1117~1') 2. type the command 'rmdir ta1117~1 /s' 3. select Y for yes 4. Directory gone. 5. figure out how they got in, report the intrusion to their ISP with date and time (use GMT + or - where ever the server is) and keep everything locked down. ------ Michael
  15. It ultimately took me 14 years to attain the goal of living up here. Definitely worth the effort. The weather is great, the views are amazing and the critters the come up the back door are kinda cool too. I'm up tucked in the trees and there isn't much traffic and cannot hear any highway noise even on a calm night. ------ Michael
  16. Nah, I was amazed at the amount of people up here that are working in the lower payscale jobs. One of the mgrs at Home Depot told me that they were one of the highest paying retail employers around and they had issues keeping employees though. Carbondale, Basalt and other smaller towns around there are cheaper to live (for a mountain town). Definitely check out the cost of living and what 'services' are around that will make your life easier - grocery stores, etc. ------ Michael
  17. I'm in Summit county which is down the road a bit, but still a mountain town. Expect to pay a bunch for a shoebox if you're renting. Best option would to be outside of Aspen (smaller town - Basalt, Wingo, Snomass) somewhere and commute. The nearest big box shopping will most likely be in Avon but that's a super wally world and home depot right now. If you like sushi, take your current bill and double it, but trust me, it's amazingly good for a landlocked state's mountain town. If you're up for the adventure, I'd say take it. We're supposed to have a heat wave here the next couple days and it's supposed to be in the 80's. Right now (as I run outside to look at the temp), it's 48. The temps can fluctuate from to the extreme even in the summer, but this is an amazing place to live. If you want more, drop me a PM. ------ Michael
  18. 2003 Ford Ranger Supercab 3.0 V6 - 20.349 MPG since new, 23.930 since I moved it from 600' MSL to 10k MSL. (maybe Bill V can explain the MPG increase) 2005 Subaru Outback 2.5i - 26.489 MPG 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 - 44.142 MPG ------ Michael
  19. Not really. I used to repo cars. Found several magnetic key boxes on some of the ones that I had to take and it only made my job that much easier. ------ Michael
  20. So - Where does most of your post whoring occur? (what you don't see - one additional desktop under the lappy on the left. Another desktop upstairs in the kitchen and one more hooked up to the 30" LCD in the family room) ------ Michael
