  1. I was still young and dumb at the time and, well, I could have definitely beat him too. Two things: 1. he knew where I worked - better to deal with it on the road than at work. and even worse... 2. he was good friends with my dad. I asked my dad a couple years ago after I got back to IL if he ever heard that I got pulled over and he never did. ------ Michael
  2. 152 in a 55, driving an unmarked police car with the lights and sirens going. I used to work at a car dealer and did fleet sales. Got the state bid for cop cars so I had to trick a couple of them out and road test them. The state trooper was not too happy with me. I did get off though as I did DARE stuff with him in the grade schools for 4 years of highschool. ------ Michael
  3. owned two houses due to overlap in closing dates for about 6 weeks. The second one closed last week so I completely understand where you're at. Went out and bought a new car the day of the closing. ------ Michael
  4. It really depends on how windy-twisty the road is or how straight, flat and boring. Last drive I did in a car from Chicago to Denver was just over 9 hours. (mapquest it if you want the mileage ) The moving truck last month wasn't so kind. The governor kept me at 65...bastards... ------ Michael
  5. Pre-Reg is not cheaper than at the door so pick your flavor and go with it. Bene's of pre-registration are that you'll have jump tickets in your hot little hand so you can park your vehicle and head for an airplane, then worry about putting your tent up in the dark. Your friends will hold flashlights for you. Your real friends will bring beer for you too. As for the bomber - standard tickets for it are $400. Cost of operations went up and so did the flights. Once 40 tickets are sold, one name is drawn. The batch of tickets is thrown away at that time and the next 40 begin. 100% of the proceeds go to The Collings Foundation (http://www.collingsfoundation.org/) to maintain this and the rest of their historic fleet. Going this year? Not sure - still up in the air about that. ~Michael The guy formerly known as WFFC.
  6. If you do not want to chat with the India call center, you are supposed to ask to speak with an onshore call center. If the rep refuses, (make sure you have a name) ask for their supervisor and politely ask again. (again, make sure you have a name). If that fails, call the Dell sales # on their website and ask to be routed to an onshore support center. At that point, communicate your frustration and such.
  7. Ummm...you're gonna share your address with this bunch?
  8. Different people have different experiences. My advice. If you're not getting what you'd expect (read: being blown off), go find Missy or Rook. Or even Tish if she's still around. What was my initial impression of what SDC was, was definately not the experience that I had when I got there. Manifest would not assist in introducing me to load orgs or team funnel. People that I approached in the hanger were, well, rude to say it nicely. Ran into Tish (who I'd met 5 years previously) and got the tour before I left. She introduced me to people I had approached earlier in the day and got a totally different vibe. Just like visiting any bigger DZ for the first time. Don't give up, but if it frustrates you to no end, let mgmt know why you're not coming back.
  9. have a new website...Check it out - http://www.l-and-b.dk
  10. I just saw 5 new skydiving designs on http://store.gofastsports.com/StoreFront.bok and I think they're pretty cool. Slightly different than what they've done before but cooler...
