Don't forget the crops that get destroyed by golf carts every year. ------ Michael

Cara picks up her own stuff and disposes of it. That's a cool thing to watch her put it in a bag and throw it away. ------ Michael

Not true. Just ask Rev. Jim how I went out of my way to pick up after my dog. Careful on your wording. The responsible owners (like Mar) pick up after their pets so the rest of us non pet (dog) owners don't have to step is said pile of doggie lunch. Unfortunately, not everyone is responsible like that. ------ Michael

A floppy drive should cost @ 10-15 at your local hack computer store. I think I've got a few on the shelf at home, but won't be there till this weekend. ------ Michael

Ooh, good history there for ghost hunting.... A cemetary tour and a haunted pub. Was interesting, but odd walking through a cemetary at night. The haunted pub was eerie. Going to find another this week and do it too before I leave. Attached - #10 - Unexplained overexposure on shot. Half moon last night. This cemetary was cooler in temp inside than outside. #14 - An open above ground burial crypt. Note the skelatal remains in the back. The practice apparently to keep the crypt in the family. If a new family member passed, the prior remains were pushed to the head to make room for the new internee. #17 - A cast iron coffin - It is believed to have been a female resident. Victim of yellow fever. It was believed that yellow fever was spread by corpses so all those that passed were sealed in a cast iron coffin. Note - The face plate could be removed at the time to view the face of the individual inside (through a glass viewing window) #27 - All that were on the tour that had digital camers took pictures throughout. Most of us took a picture in this room and not a single one turned out clear. Not sure what was up. The guide took two of us back up to the same room for another picture and the results were the same. Ghost hunting anyone? ------ Michael -

When you going to come up? The hiking just up the hill is phenominal. I'm in New Orleans this week, Houston next. I've been told to expect a few other places to go, but nothing concrete yet. ------ Michael -

You're just hoping for a spanking. ------ Michael -

Tried to talk the powers that be into newer music. Didn't work.

The music hasn't changed in years. Get used to hearing the same things over and over again without anything updated.

Not really a response to any...If you're curious what it costs to drive your vechicle, start filling in all the blanks on the attached. Here's what I know from filling in the blanks - 2003 2wd Ranger Supercab - 20.349 mpg for life of vehicle (23.930 mpg since I moved back to CO) Vechicle sold July 05 2005 Subaru Outback - 26.833 mpg. (driven highway daily between Silverthorne and Vail, CO) 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 - 47.701 mpg. I generally use this to run errands (post office run, lunch, etc.) and leisure riding. 2005 Chevy Trailblazer - 17.024 mpg. My vehicle. I'm homebased so I don't drive it that much. Mostly to the DZ or to/from the airport if I'm on the road. Bill - Am I missing anything on the spreadsheet? ------ Michael

Place a minivan in a trendy family neighborhood, sprinkle in a few screaming kids watching a DVD and a lost soccer mom on the cell, oh baby. Very evil vehicle. ------ Michael

This is the first I've heard this and I consider myself pretty well informed. Any reference to the law you're referring to? (link?) Here's a cnn article on the topic. It makes reference to not sharing the info, but not due to a 'law'.

It's real. ------ Michael

Yes, but...Moab is 4025 MSL (assuming the airport is about that too). Mesquite is 2028. Takes a little more fuel to get higher at a higher start.
-
In most cases, it's more expensive as they'll add an airport recovery fee as the off airport locations do not. I'd have to look at my expense reports to see what the proper name for it is. It's easier for me to get at the airport and avoid the bus and since I'm expensing it anyway, the fee doesn't bother me. ------ Michael

This has never really been mentioned which is part of my rant. The assumption is that she was tanked based on where she was coming out of - Carlos & Charlies. I've not been to the one in Aruba, but several in Mexico. One couldn't get too far through the front door without being molested by the staff and having alcohol poured down one's throat. ------ Michael

OK...Tragic that she's lost. She went to Aruba for a high school graduation. Rich kid probably, no issues. Tropical paradise, no issues. She was out partying with friends the night before she was to come back to the U.S., no issues. Hmmm, wait, she was coming out of a bar? 18 as I recall? Granted, the legal drinking age in Aruba is 16 I believe, but no one has really brought up how drunk she or her friends were when they departed said bar. Nice chaperones that let your kids live like the locals and get a little tanked, eh? Thoughts? edit to add: Found this on an Aruba tourism site - drinking age: ------ Michael

Please note that Franklin D. Roosevelt would disappear to his 'Little White House' in Warm Springs, GA during WWII. This is ultimately where he suffered a stroke and died 2 days later. For the conspiracy theorist, it is believed that there was a Nazi plot to knock him off. To clarify, I am not a fan of Bush Jr. and believe that when the job gets tough, he stubles on his words and runs off to his ranch to hide.
