I find myself screaming "Fuck Yeahhh!!!" At the break off track from angle jumps. I don't do that to much on belly jumps.

Ways to shorten your glide on final?
Trafficdiver replied to antieverything's topic in Safety and Training
Yes. He doesn't jump anymore. You obviously did not read my first post where I said ANYMORE in lowercase. Yes, I'm sure you use braked approaches, so do I.Did you learn them on the Internet? Probably not. I didn't either. Can you die fucking up a braked approach? I don't know but I've watched TM's break students when they did them too low. And I totally agree with you about practicing up high and taking a coach course. So where are we disagreeing here? -
A tandem is much more intense than anything your mentioned. Way better. Just do it. Wait Til after you jump to hit the tunnel.

Too fast horizontally on landing
Trafficdiver replied to snowlep's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
A flight one 101 and 102 course will do wonders for your landings. -
Do you do steroids?. Lol. J/K first thing I thought when I saw your name. Welcome. Have you jumped yet?

Norwegian Waterfall Flight

Beautiful. -
Couple of thoughts. Play "fuck yourself at pull time" and put yourself in the worst body positions while trying to pull all of your handles. See how close to the net you can go through your EP's without touching the net. Have them slow down the wind and see how slow you can fly. It's tough. Do you Freefly at all?

Try looking back up to the plane and giving your instructor the double middle finger. Works for me.

Ways to shorten your glide on final?
Trafficdiver replied to antieverything's topic in Safety and Training
Going into deep brakes at 100' and letting up at 60' can do loads of damage to you including death. Also I'm not attacking you I'm describing you. You've admitted you don't jump and it's obvious you don't really give a shit about 1/2 of what you say. -
Ways to shorten your glide on final?
Trafficdiver replied to antieverything's topic in Safety and Training
You have to understand that some of the methods of shortening your final will kill you if you do it wrong...like going into deep brakes. So to expect good advice on the internet is unfair to those who dont want to see you die. And those who are giving you that advice, may not even skydive anymore and dont care if you do die...like Stayhigh. -
Video camera limits and experience (and new tech)

this is the stupid, I agree that everything you wrote before and after this sentence is "the stupid". -
St Pattys day boogie in Fitzgerald GA. That's all I have to say to you. And I'm a Northerner.

Video camera limits and experience (and new tech)
Trafficdiver replied to tkhayes's topic in Safety and Training
We do not need a camera before 200 jumps we want one. Some people want to do night jumps when they get their A license. Some want to pull at 1500'. Some want to fly a wingsuit at 50 jumps. The rules we have agsinst theses are written in blood. -

Trafficdiver replied to tkhayes's topic in Safety and Training
Again I ask why? Why do you need a camera before 200 jumps? How is your skydiving career hurt if you don't wear a camera prior to that? You can't debrief your 4 way jump? Who fucking cares you have 200 jumps you're going to suck anyway. Hire a camera guy if you're really that guns ho. So what if 200 jumps is arbitrary? It seems to be a fine starting point. No one that I know of has died because they didn't have a camera on. -

Trafficdiver replied to tkhayes's topic in Safety and Training
Again...what is bad about waiting to 200 jumps until your put on a camera? You say unreasonable...what is unreasonable about it? Edit: I'm talking about AFF to jump 200' not tandems. I don't care so much what tandems passengers/students do as there is someone else driving the car. -

Trafficdiver replied to tkhayes's topic in Safety and Training
Times change. We even let students jump ram air canopies now. Even though everyone knows they are far more dangerous than rounds, and that you should have 200 jumps first. do you think a camera is neccessary during the student progression? What about a ram air parachute? Would you suggest we have students wear cameras during AFF? -
Yes. They have a new membership program there. 5 hours is around $2900. An 8 hour membership is even better. Give them a call.

So the worst thing about not allowing someone to fly a camera until jump 200 is being viewed as a dick and a dinosaur? Doesn't seem that bad to me. -
$5k for 5 hours sounds way high. You can get that much for $2900 at I Skyventure NH. 5 hours is about right for getting good enough at sit fly. I'm still getting better at it 20+ hours in.

Hello DZ.com looking to do AFF but where?
Trafficdiver replied to SaucerBoy's topic in Introductions and Greets
AFF in MA is the same as anywhere else. If you do your first jump at Pepperell to get rolling in the sport, you can seamlessly go to CO to finish it off. No need to wait to start. I started AFF in Pepperell and finished at Z Hills with no problems. -
I used to live and die for snowboarding. Then I started skydiving. I have not gone snowboarding in 5 years. It sort of eclipses everything else in your life. It's a true paradigm shift. Have fun!
