    The jumping. I wonder if the Bad Lad that cut away from twists would have done so had the instructor not used pictures of twists during the mals lesson they showed. Anyone know where they filmed it?? I know they used an APA a/c and some of the kit was old APA kit (no rounds or Telesis at Nethers any more).     Its easier to find rocking horse shite than get a jump at the Northampton Balloon Festival. Traditionally the Royal Artillery Parachute Team (Thae Black Knights) have jumped into the show.     I have an HC1 top mounted with a 350D. Its well balanced and sits nicely. A couple of the other cameramen at my DZ are changing over to the same setup. Ill post a pic later Buzz It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    Being more specific and pedantic, its actually an Brit Norman BN2T. This is a 10 place twin turbine a/c, gets to 12k in about 15 min. Great little plane but it doesnt have the big door that skydivers seem to deman nowadays. We have this plane, another piston version,and a 208 at our DFZ.     Just brought on myself, to go on my 350D (Rebel XT), to replace the kit 18 - 35mm lens. Here are some shots along with a comparrison shot. Exit 10mm and Exit 18 mm show the diference in field of view between the two lenses, both shots were taken from a ssimmilar position on the rail of an Islander. As you can see from these the 10 - 22mm lense is much sharper and much brighter, I am really pleased with this lense. Buzz It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    Recieved my MBP yesterday afternoon, only 3 days later than expected. WOW It rocks. Just finding my way round it at the mo but iMovieHD is fantastic, already done a tandem edit on it. iTunes is sweet seemless with my 30Gb iPod video. The most impressive thing was when I got back to my pad last night, opened up my MBP and it picked up the wireless network on my Win XP machine straight away. I managed to load 4Gb of music onto my MBP with no problem what so ever. The amazing thing is that I had tried to do exactly the same with a Win XP laptop, and had problem after problem. I am completely hooked on it now, guess Ill have to get an iMac or Power Mac for home. Having raved about my MBP there are a couple of things that I dont like, it has a US keyboard, that means the @ key is in a different location and boy does it get HOT almost to hot to touch after a while. Still small price to pay. Buzz xxxx It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

    Changing subject slightly, does any one know where I can get a case for the Macbook Pro? Looking in the Apple Store there doesnt seem to be any available yet.     Ordered the 1.6 with a single 1gb stick of ram so I can upgrade later, but those nice mac people are sending me the 1.8.     Vicki Before you start ranting its best to make sure you are in possesion of all the facts. When the proposition was voted on at the AGM, it was done with the best of intentions. However the BPA insurers found a clause in the policy that states something along the lines of "Any person making a parachute descent at a BPA DZ must be a BPA member. Should a non BPA member make a descent at that DZ all members jumping at that DZ will not be insured BPA member or otherwise" As I said this is not verbatim, but pretty close. This is from the BPA insurers not the BPA Council, so please make sure you know what you are talking about in future. I cant believe you have made me defend council, guess ill have to ring the bell.
