  1. You live in Norway and expect something to arrive within one week from the States? Okay, I know it happens sometimes, but sometimes it will take several weeks just to arrive (and to clear customs).
  2. Become member of the skydiving federation of the country where you will make (most) of your jumps (Italy?). Take the insurance (Italian) which is almost always included in the membership. If necessary take an extra travel insurance which does not exclude skydiving in case of the country where you jump is not the country where you want to stay in the hospital. Take this travel insurance in the country where you want to get repatriated to in case of an accident (France? so a French travel insurance?). Be sure to have your healthcare insurance "up to date". Gr Jurgen
  3. This is only valid for a full face helmet, not for an open helmet. Jurgen
  4. Grips? With 100 people, this would quickly become hilarious... Okay, I see. Mmmm, everybody has to fly above the same state More serious, is there no worldrecord yet for the biggest wingsuitformation with grips?
  5. Don't forget skiing or snowboarding (15 minutes away from an indoor ski-slope) Jurgen
  6. http://www.l-and-b.dk/jumptrackv3/Help/English/Html/index.html chapter 18 Make sure that the PC-Interface Unit (chapter 43) is properly connected to a serial port (they say
  7. 1500 jumps on a set of slinks. 1 Slink broke during a highspeedlanding (when recovering from the dive after a 270). Happened in AZ I think. Was on the incidents forum a few years ago.
  8. I remember that I saw that video in Eloy during the X-mas boogie 2001 on the big screen (good quality resolution) in the bar at the DZ. Maybe somebody from Eloy can help you?
  9. 6) Windlimits. Do you stop jumping if the winds are to much to jump a round, but still okay for a square?
  10. Please educate us. I know that my answer is not complete, but ... Jurgen
  11. In swoopcompetitions (at higher WL): - speed:the smaller canopy will go faster, - distance: the larger canopy will go further The smaller canopy has shorter lines, will create less drag, but is more aggressive in turns.
  12. The lazy bag saves my thumbs. No more pain after a weekend of jumping and packing. Most of the jumpers do not drag their rig. They do the two locking stows and than they walk to their rig, put the bag on the ground and stow away the rest of the lines. Jurgen PS Over here lot's of jumpers use a lazy bag.
  13. What climate do jump in? Dry, wet? I like to protect my camera from moisture. Jurgen
  14. I was told that: The electricity company says that their network is not "strong" enough and that the owners of the windtunnel have to pay these additional costs for adapting the network. So, for the moment it is to expensive to build and exploit the tunnel.
  15. Euh? Stop jumping now. When you deploy your parachute and 1 rubberband breaks during deploiement, ... Or even worse, you have to use your reserve and 1 of the lockingstows fails? That risk is higher than what you describes. Jump a lazybag, try it and give us some feedback. Jurgen
  16. The PDFT used the lazy bag. There was an agreement between Javelin and Ludo Havelaars (the man behind the lazybag)
  17. Students = student mode But sometimes we switch to expert mode when he has more experience.
  18. You can wait, but don't wait to long to have it repacked when good weather arrives. Lot's of skydivers will need a repack after their winterstop. So, maybe your rigger hasn't enough hands/time to repack them all in time when you need that repack. CU Jurgen
  19. He's also known as Christopher Cringle or St. Nicholas. St Nicholas is not Santa Claus
  20. If that is the case, do not jump your reserve. It uses the same kind of linestows. Jurgen
  21. mhh, I think you are right, but nevertheless I made some promotion for him
  22. PDF sold this kind of system, but there were some problems with (what if the kill line shrinks, breaks, ...). This solutions solves a problem, but also creates some other problems. I believe that there is an old thread about it.
  23. That's entirely possible, and a good idea! It wouldn't surprise me if someone is working on that now. http://www.pgasus.be/start.php?pg=text&item=mPOD
