  2. Firstly I don't support the BNP, or labour & I don't read the daily mail. I do not see why a legal political party is so badly treated. In all honesty I perceive that Sinn Fein didn't get that level of hostility (on mainland UK) when they were supporting a terrorist organisation. I have heard alot of 3rd party statements about the BNP policies but not alot from the horses mouth. As a migrant to the UK I find it perfectly acceptable to "fit in" with the culture and society - granted I come from a British colony so there isn't alot of difference. I do find it offensive when a migrant comes into a country, refuses to learn the local language and expects local laws to be changed to mirror their culture and background with no attempt to integrate themselves. Ironically I perceive/notice that the Scotts and Welshmen that I know are fiercely nationalist and yet the English appear terrified of any differentiation - I can see that being a breeding ground for frustration and racial crimes. I think that the mainstream parties should be more "patriotic" and less afraid of being "british" and this would remove most of the momentum behind what is largely a single issue party. dickhead day

Today has been a day of dick-heads for me. Can't wait for it to end so tomorrow can begin. EVENT 1 Riding to work on the bike in the pouring rain, idiot in a Vauxhall Vectra comes down the left turning lane to queue jump and basically forced me into oncoming traffic by diving into the straight lane. Then proceeded to turn right without indicating. The only bright spot on this is I had the location, registration number and time and phoned it in to the local police as a dangerous driving complaint. Amazingly they took it seriously asked if I there were other witnesses and whether I would go to court. As there are no other witnesses - they simply put his registration on the watchlist and next time ANPR (automatic number plate recognition) picks him up he will be pulled over for a "chat" about his driving habits. From the state of his car he will probably get a fine for something. EVENT 2 Prick of a customer who has continually lied and mislead us, asked for something "extra" today. I said no - he hung up the phone and 5 minutes later I had an email saying he was starting legal proceedings. We are contractually in the clear so that is not a worry - what I can't afford to do is feed my pet lawyer to defend against this arsehole - especially when he has a deeper pockets than we do On the bright side it's my kids birthday and todays page 3 girl has nice tits. 5. Don Kellner's logs are also done in longhand and include all of the information you contain within your logs and additionally include the names of each person who was on the lift with him (he runs a Cessna dropzone, so it is not that many names per lift). We also invite anyone to come round and pour through logbook after logbook from his first static-line 48 years ago on the 14th of June to the ones he made yesterday. He does indeed have over 38,000 skydives. He was the first person in the United States to make 10,000 jumps and the second in the world. Roch Charmet was the first. He has 1936 round parachute jumps with no malfunctions. His first square jump was his first malfunction. He was a pioneer in the sport. He has made over 11,000 tandems, thousands of AFF's, jumpmastered thousands of static-line and IAD students (he was one of the originators of the IAD program in the U.S.), participated in big way RW world record attempts and even tried a bit of headdown with me, along with his signature hop-n-pops. He loves cross country jumps and canopy flight and he loves to keep his jumpers in the air, but he is not a licensed pilot, I am. He worked full time as a general construction superintendent along with running a dropzone on weekends in the Northeast. 48 years later he is still out there jumping anytime it is jumpable. See the attached picture of the kiss pass we did on the jump that made our combined total number of jumps 50,000. Snow on the ground, freezing temperatures don't stop him. He is the definition of hardcore in my book. http://www.dkellner.info wow - and congratulations - amazing that a husband and wife can share something like that. Have you ever considered entering Guinness book of records for your combined total as a couple? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  6. Alternatively if we are going to allow shorter sentences then these characters should have the offending bits removed completely. I know that this would not necessarily stop their sick perversions but it may limit them. Ironically I believe many of these people get "special" treatment in prison as if they are put in normal cells they are at serious risk from other inmates. 7. One news report indicated that one of the messages was that the cabin vertical speed limit was exceeded at some point. Quade & others thanks for the detail on the pitot tubes and weather radar very interesting. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  8. Labour is being slaughtered in the local elections http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/elections/local_council/09/html/region_99999.stm In at least one area, labour is fourth behind UKIP. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  9. Firstly I really feel for the families involved in this, and hope that there is some closure for them. I've been generally following the news on the accident and came across this statement in a BBC news article Does anyone know if this "means" anything or is simply commentators stating facts that may or may not be relevant? I read this to imply that the plane may have been damaged by ice (not buildup of ice)? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

    ART or Crap?

Jeez - I am amazed that you knew who it was, if I hadn't seen this attributed to her I would genuinely have thought it was a child. Although I am obviously not an art buff as from the other posts (Wendy and Chris) I didn't know that people would intentionally inhibit themselves - such as drawing something without looking at it). boobies

yummy - no pics, but I just had a 16/17 year old blonde come with her mom to exchange a faulty mobile. She was wearing a skimpy top and offered to take the strap off the phone - nice watching her hold it close to her boobies and struggling with it No way was I asking for pics with her mom there though so don't even ask Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

    ART or Crap?

yeah - I am pretty amazed at the "standard" of this persons work. I am pretty sure that regurgitating this shit does not take artistic talent - however I would employ her as a sales marketing person any time cause she could obviously sell sand to an arab. ART or Crap?

Browsing the work of a famous "artist" this is one of their works. Firstly can anyone name the artist? Secondly do you think I am pulling your leg and this is a drawing of mom by a 5 year old kid? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  17. Say this list of names outloud for proof of mishearing Aynayda Pizaqvick and Malexa Kriest Awul Dasfilshabeda and Nowaynayda Zheet Makollig Jezvahted and Levdaroum DeBahzted Steelaygot Maowenbach and Tuka Piziniztee Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  18. So on a practical note what timespan is there normally where a single free faller and a tandem pair are falling at the same rate - assuming no drogue? I guess as most tandems have their drogue out this is not likely to be something that alot of people have experienced? 19. I am pretty interested in hearing a decent explanation of this. I guess that the drag coefficient may mean that you reach terminal at approximately the same time - implying that as you approach terminal your acceleration bleeds off (which is logical I suppose as you don't suddenly stop accelerating). 24. Jo, Do you have info that smoke jumpers made free fall ripcord pull jumps in the 1940s or at any time? That is something I did not know. I though all their jumps were S/L. 377 oh come on, it is a load of bollocks that "conditions" make free fall more suitable than static line. Seriously I get pissed as ignorance dressed in arrogance - not directed at you 377. This is the kind of media based misrepresentation of facts, where student jumpers (static line) are not allowed to jump, but experienced jumpers are (free fall) therefore 2+2 = 10 and static line can't be used in certain conditions. 25. The bike shop offered to do me a direct trade for this bike. Maybe I will take it for a test ride. I know what you mean about the full sports bikes (brother in law had a Kawasaki ZX-10R that he rode into central london every day). In heavy traffic on the small roads the kids on mopeds are alot more manouvarable and therefore quicker than the Fazer (might also be that 17 olds have no concept of danger), but as mentioned in the first post most of my time is short commute. The cars are at walking speed in my direction and ~40mph in the oncoming direction, typical UK village town roads so not alot of space. UPDATE** I was just looking at the Kawasaki website and it appears that they have introduced the Ninja 250 in the UK (no more old grey imports) http://www.kawasaki.co.uk/Ninja250R I will be seeing if the local Kwak dealer has a demo bike this weekend.
