  1. Hey, someone's got to edumacate the masses....
  2. Bookmarks yes, email-messages... I don't know. Opera's support pages may have an answer to that. You can always keep the messages archived on Netscape now can't you?
  3. Well duh. This is old news: http://www.landoverbaptist.org/news1299/santy.html http://people.txucom.net/cornel/santa.html http://www.swingmachine.org/issue6/santa.htm http://www.biblebelievers.com/jmelton/SantaClause.html I've thought you can find anything on the net. It seems that you can.
  4. Oh god, these stories are entertaining to read... Keep 'em coming.
  5. No no, making clicky links is a good thing, not PWing. Responding to your post with this post is PWing... I can't believe someone is suing after a Cypres-save. She should be happy she's alive and take up bowling. [loathing-icon][despicing-icon]
  6. >Quoting Matti Nykanen? Wasn't he a ski jumper for Finland >back around the 80's? Yes he was! I'm surprised someone here knew him... After his phenomenal career at ski-jumping, he tried his wings as a singer and as a stripper among other things. He has been and still is a recurring character on the covers of tabloid magazines, mostly because of his numerous marriages and breakups. The poor guy hasn't succeeded in anything after his career in sports, and has a reputation for stating the obvious, as my sigline demonstrates....
  7. >"How do you stop someone from basejumping" You don't. However, you can give them food for thought. There was a brief discussion on Blinc about a "what-to-do-list" in case of a fatality. If you manage to persuade your friend to write her will and to compile such a list before jumping, she may or may not re-think the possible consequences of her actions.
  8. Ah yes, Netscape 4... Do yourself a favor and get rid of that POS. I mean really, I'd rather use IE(gasp!) than Netscape4.... signed: Opera-user since 2001!
  9. Yup, the lack of healthy paranoia on the 'Net relly gets to me... I dunno, AggieDave maybe?
  10. Are you people doing this just to piss me off??
  11. >I know it's not always recommended, but I enjoy >jumping without a helmet. Is there any way to >have an audible jumping like that? Try this.
  12. @ http://www.dropzone.com/safety/emergencies/: One of the headers says "Parachute Mulfunctions"
  13. >I think the bigger sociological question here is, why do >we keep going to see them? Good question! Possible reasons: -"They're good, but not great". You know what you're going to get. It's unlikely that a Bond movie will suck ass seriously; it's a safe choice. -Maybe the concept is just so good? Mr. Bond, Q's toys, the bond-babe and the evil villain just mix so well that Bond-movies have an attraction just by being Bond-movies? Really, I don't know. What I do know is that I'll see the movie when it comes out on video, going to the movies is too expensive here, and the movie-theaters in my town suck anyway.
  14. >Are we Americans the only people that (over) decorate >their houses for every little holiday? I'm sure your finnish friend already explained this to you, but here we just put up some christmas lights and thats it. Plus the traditional two candles on a window on Independence day the 6th of December. That being said, the american style with lavish(overdone) decorations is spreading here too. Tacky, in my opinion. Erno
  15. Hmm. Fallout. I've been playing Fallout 2 for a few days now. I finished it a few years back, but it's still a great game...
  16. It started from Fark? I thought I read a story about the guy who made the original pic, and I remember he just emailed it to a few of his friends...
  17. >The average blue whale produces over 400 gallons of sperm when it ejaculates, How do you figure they measured that?
  18. I wish there was a way to convey the emotions these news made me feel. But there is no way. It'll have to suffice to say, that this makes me want to scream. A long, loud, unintelligible, primal scream. Unfortunately that wouldn't make it too likely for my employers to extend my contract. The american judicial system is so - fucked - up.
  19. You wrote that?? Hell, I read that probably in 98 when I started skydiving.... Great piece! Do you think that would be really doable? I'm feeling that the brave poor astronaut would be fried like a dish on a wok-pan.... but then again I know nothing about spacecraft re-entry and stuff.

    >If you want to rid yourself of popups use moziila. Opera makes it really easy: Just press F12 and the attached menu pops up(aargh!).
  21. Wow. Boring I am, with only 84 points. Actually that falls under the category of "normal", but we all know how boring normal people are... edit to add: Many of the questions can be interpreted in more than one way. I guess I'd make a good politician; I got 69 on one try and 148 on the next without actually lying....
