300-way.com got DZcommed....

>so where can I find it? Your local computer game store might be a good place to start.

>but i think no buying a new one, for mounting on my chest >strap... i believe they're better for freeflying... I don't really freefly, but I think it's exactly the opposite(=freeflyers prefer their altis on their wrists). You might want to ask about this one in the FF forum. Anyway you don't have to buy a whole new altimeter, you can just switch the mount. I have two mounts for my alti: chestmount for FS, wristmount for sitfly/birdman-jumps. It takes less than 10 seconds to switch the mount. Erno

Seeing as you were looking for a life, this might just be the thing for you. If a simulated life is good enough for you... It's a game about everyday life. I guess it's a good choice for people who race cars, infiltrate enemy strongholds and command mighty nations in real life.

JT, have taken your temperature today? You look like you're burning up.

I grabbed the pic before the site went down, you can see it here. It's a big file, 436kb so it will take a while to load.

For those people who don't feel like writing a novel about every jump, here's my version.

Does this sound like a certain dz.com professor?

Please don't shoot the doggie.. The "Santa would burn to a crisp"-thingie has been doing rounds on the 'Net for years... I wonder if someone finally put it to good use or if it's just BS? -
It's called "The Dilbert principle". The least competent people get promoted to the position where they can do the least damage: The management.

So you're already taking better care of the Sims than your own life huh?

Michele, the problem described here mostly concerns people who use file-sharing programs like Kazaa. If you're not into trading pirated software and movies, you should be fine.

Tandem jumps are used nowadays as the first jumps in the AFP-program. Read this thread for details.

Chemicals and parachute materials
ernokaikkonen replied to ernokaikkonen's topic in Gear and Rigging
Does anyone have comprehensive data on the effects of various chemicals on parachute materials? I'm especially interested in the possible effects of DEET(N,N-diethyl-m-toluamide, the main ingredient in many insect repellents). Various sources on the 'Net tell me that DEET does not damage nylon, which is nice, but not everything on parachutes is made of nylon. From personal experience I know that DEET can melt some plastics(a Swatch melted on my wrist). Would DEET damage cut-away cables for example? Or hook-knives? What about lines? I'd imagine the types that have been on the market longer will not be damaged(at least I haven't heard that they would be), but what about the newer additions to line materials? Vectran? HMA? Erno -
I do. edit to add: And I wouldn't mind a few pics of some nice natural boobies. I'm not a great fan of those ridiculously large bags of silicone/saline.

>I was gonna retire from the forums for a while and seek a life Nahh, don't bother, they're not what they're made out to be. Or so they tell me.

>is it possible, based on the data that those prime numbers >give you to predict the prime numbers that follow? No, sorry. If it was, they wouldn't need all those super-computers to find the new bigger and better prime-numbers. I think.

...and the 11Mb includes Java! If you've already got Java installed, Opera is only about 3-4Mb!

This makes no sense to me really... Why wait over 6 months before quitting? Why start again after the graduation? I don't get it.
