Your search for sex returned 5246 results Yeah right, i wish... Your search for parachute returned 3086 results Your search for sheep returned 1519 results Since my day at "work" is nearing it's end, I'll leave further analysis to someone else.

Too close for comfort! (photo attached)

? The cameraman would've been hit by the bag only... Hardly enough to kill IMO. Since everyone is guessing, I'll throw in my 0.02€ too: I think the cameraman was holding on to the pc handle one way or another. Looking at the second pic, I'd say the cameraman deployed for the other jumper. -
Yup, I'll be going home in about half an hour...

Ok, that makes sense. Thanks!

A question to the riggers(or anyone else who knows...): Why is it that on some rigs the CYPRES-cutter is placed on the bottom of the reserve container, and on some rigs it's on one of the reserve closing flaps? The way I see it it would be a better choice to install it on the bottom of the container: The reserve is (slightly) easier to close, and you don't have to route the cable along the flap(less kinks in the cable, less likely to fail). There must be some advantage in installing the cutter on the flap, but I can't think of any right now...

Are you sure the canopy wasn't accidentally hooked up backwards? I've heard of a few people landing their canopies that way.... That would have to be a really big canopy. Then again Sharpchuters are. I've seen CRew-doggies "fly" their canopies backwards, but that's definitely NOT landable, it's more like a controlled stall. Maybe MR. Sanborn had balls big enough to stall his canopy all the way to the ground? A parachute that flies equally well forwards and backwards hasn't been invented yet. Unless you want to jump rounds.

Umm, I don't know, I guess I am then? But if it was my last post that confused you, here it is explained: That's to say: You're damned if you do(use an apostrophe)... ... and you're damned if you don't.

>How fast could a downplane be then? Anyone who knows? Is it >really impossible to reach 78 mph as maximum speed? That would depend on the size of the canopies. If my memory serves me correct, a Protrack will start recording again in a downplane. If that's right there should be actual data available from any crew-dog with a Protrack?

>Anybody have any secrets to success??? Just one: Don't give up if you slip! I have "not smoked" for 9 months now, but when I get drunk enough, I'll smoke a ciggie or two. I've decided that it's a lesser evil to slip every now and then than it would be to start smoking again after the first weak moment. Otherwise on quitting, I went cold turkey; I didn't see the point in switching to a more expensive nicotin-habit(patches or gum). The patches and gum have worked on some people though, so that's up to you... Do you have any plans yet?

Ok.. So, like, thanks for nothing! "You're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't"

Hey! That's something I've been wondering about: Bob says pluralizing "VCR" with an apostrophe is wrong, but is it? What's the right way of pluralizing an abbreviation?

((((( transatlantic vibe )))))) Good luck with the application!

Does anyone know where the fear of heights poll went?

There was one? When? -
I have absolutely no knowledge of the German language, but that won't stop me from trying: Wow. This is utterly useless. Made with InterTran and LEO English-German dictionary

If you're going to replace it, steer clear of Ericssons. I bought the T65 six months ago and it's been nothing but trouble. It locks up, reboots itself, and the user interface is from the deepest abyss. The Nokia would have been 40€ more. I saved money in the wrong place.

>et luks lyke ure gust gonna hav ta deel wit me spelin. Ouch. Headache. Flashback. You "sound" like Snuffy on wreckdot. When I lurked there, I had to skip his posts because they took me twice as long to read...

Actually the height of Mt. Everest is 29035ft. There also are cliffs much better suited for jumping in the Himalayas, but unfortunately none of them are very easily accessible.

Yup, I'll be at the office tomorrow. Nothing will happen there, but since they pay me to sit at my desk surfing the 'Net.... why not?

How fast am I going?

>So assuming no wind what is my forward speed at full glide At a wingloading of 0.88 I'd say 25mph is in excess. My guess is around 10-15 mph. > and does this relate directly to my speed with Yes, groundspeed = airspeed + windspeed... >and against wind. ... and groundspeed = airspeed - windspeed Do a search in "Swooping and canopy control", this issue and many others relating to this one have been covered many times. -
Ok, fine, if no-one else is going to nominate him, I'll do it: the post-whore: Clay, freeflir29. It certainly can not be easy to talk so much without actually having anything to say.

Absolutely brilliant! Where would we be without all the evil geniuses and crazy inventors... When I win the lottery I'll fund that project. Remind me if I forget.

What kind of answers did you expect? You're just trying to justify the choice you already made...

Sober christmas?? Dear lord NO! I'm not driving though.
