I had 4 wisdom teeth removed at the same time, local anaesthetic. The doc was only willing to take 2 at a time, but the experience was unpleasant enough, I wasn't going to sit on that chair again! So I managed to say that I wanted the other side done too. The doc said that I'd have really sore gums and that I probably couldn't eat for a couple of days, so maybe he shouldn't. I made it very clear that I wanted them done now. Ibuprofen for after the procedure, three days off from work. I'm glad I don't have to go through that again.

Get in line buddy... I hear they're getting more than enough applications as it is. And at 600 jumps, I'm sure there are a lot more qualified people applying than you or me.

Hell, the technology is already here. Except the holographic thingies, but you'll do just as well with projected imagery. All we need now is financing...

At least there some sense left in the Far North... I'm sure he wouldn't have had a chance in an american courtroom.

Data Points - SP-190 loaded at 1.2:1

You can hide a whole group of forum at the moment, if that helps at all.

Yeah, that's pretty much the same here in Finland like I've mentioned before, nearly no-one jumps a 170, and 190s are almost unheard of. And I don't think we have any more landing accidents. Then again almost all jumpers here have been trained on JAD or S/L, so they have more experience under canopy. Be safe and have fun!

So you decided on the 150 then?

You can have both. I have Opera6 and Opera7 installed in their respective folders. Actually I guess I should download the beta2 to see the crappy bookmark management myself... >"Open only requested pop-ups" Yes! That's the one thing I've been missing. And the DOM-support of course(which causes some javascript spiced pages not to work).

>I'm using v7 Ok, as long as you understand that it's not a final product, but in developement stage. >The mouse gestures are quite good I find. To each his own... What I love about Opera is the insane amount of keyboard shortcuts. I haven't tried Opera 7beta2 yet, the first beta didn't even have working bookmarks at all! What I've read from the Opera forums, people haven't been too pleased with the bookmark management of O7b2. I've been happy using Opera 6 as long as it's been out(6.05 at the moment). I find it strange that Opera is promoting the beta as the default download on their frontpage... I'm sure many people who download O7b2 don't understand that it's not a finished product.

>The container itself is great but a few people have suggested >to me there's a design fault with the Thomas Sports risers I have no experience with TSE gear, but I'm pretty sure it's easier to get a new set of risers than to start modding the old ones. Are you sure you're setting the brakes right? >Second question: Can I just buy a set of risers/toggles from >somewhere (Relative Workshop trulok toggles?) and swap >them onto my container, is it that simple? Most of the time, yes. Order the risers and the toggles from the same place to make sure they're compatible. It's also a good idea to make sure the new risers are the same length as the originals, to ensure proper fit in the container. And of course the new risers should have the same size 3-rings as the originals. And as usual with all things gear: consult your local rigger before doing anything.

No, at least Opera6.05 and Mozilla 1.0(on W2K) do the same thing... as they should. Maybe I misunderstood your comment? link points to http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/www.someplace.com link points to http://www.someplace.com

I assume you're using v6.05, right? Don't bother with the v7's yet, the betas don't work well enough for everyday use yet. And to answer your question: 1. Open Hotlist(by pressing F4 for example) 2. right click on hotlist --> view --> sort by my ordering 3. Drag and drop to your hearts content. It's not too late to turn to the light side of the force!

>Easier than coordinates is zip/postal codes. There are >online mapping services that provide socket connections Works within the US, yes... But a system based on coordinates would serve the whole global community. >Another option is to just graphically place a dot on an GIF >outline map of the state or country. But that would be too easy! Where's the fun in doing something like that??
-
The bare minimum required for that would be that each entry for a DZ would have to have a field for "Closest major city". Which would mean that we'd have to define "major city". Further refining the idea, if one could enter the coordinates of the DZ when entering it to the DB, it could then be compared to the coordinates of any city the coordinates of which were known... The coordinates of major cities could be entered in the database, and then it would be easy to list the DZs near a certain city(and the distance from it!). But making something like this would be a major project.

Wow that was bad....

I don't see how a one-sided RSL (or the french dual system) could cause any trouble. Of course it is one more moving part in the equation, but think about it: if you have two canopies out, you have one end of the RSL attached to a main riser, and the other end dangling free. What could it do? Unless the two-out situation was caused by a CYPRES, which is the cause more often than not I think. I can think of a theoretical way how the RSL could cause the main to snag to the container after a cutaway, but it's pretty far fetched. The above is just my uninformed opinion, feedback appreciated.

I guess so. Mind you, all the knowledge I have on the american legal system comes from watching the telly. It seems to me that you can sue for just about anything you feel like in the US. What I've read about waivers in general here on the forums, a badly worded waiver can supposedly even harm the (in this case) land owner in case of a law suit.
