We certainly didn't the last time I checked... Unless! Maybe MM is stalking me in my office building somewhere! Ferdi: Get back to SA you pervert!
-
Well, seeing as it's half past three(pm) here, yes, I'm pretty much awake at this point....

>Where does my IP place me right now? Come visit bletherchat and I can tell you... Only greenies can see them here.

Where can I find specifications for the 3-ring release? Preferrably with the technical drawings? edit to add: this page http://www.relativeworkshop.com/support/tech_risers.html I found, but it's not specific enough.

The last one got my attention. How is the picture so sharp both in the foreground and the background?

>---------David Lund told me to do this---------- >"What we got here is a failure to communicate" No, he told you to use the "Usenet sig separator", or "-- " (dash-dash-space-newline). Sorry, geek moment there.

Such meaningless posts. I frown upon them.

Umm... "thanks", if you're referring to the pic, and "yeah, we rock" if you're referring to the 300k.

"The parachute manual", vol I & II by Dan Poynter. But really the best(only) way to learn is to learn by doing, attending a course, bugging your local rigger, etc...

I don't jump camera myself, but with the procedures you described, the helmet is gone by the time you cut away your main(or if it's still entangled, it'll be gone with the main). I don't see how the Skyhook would cause you any problems in that situation?

Yes, that could work... So you've tried it? I think that there might be quite a lot of pull on the steering line, is it easy to hold it with your teeth? And if you're feeling really adventurous, you could pull the free toggle down to level your canopy, trap the steering line with your other hand above to guide ring, and re-set the half-brake. That way you could use both hands to free the stuck toggle, and you would have your mouth free to scream profanities at the canopy.

My Atom Legend has a hook-knife in the mudflap, installed at the factory. There is a snap on the mudflap, to which the strap on the knife attaches. The sheath is a totally separate thing, it's just a pouch sewn on the inside of the mudflap. The pouch is sewn with the sides of the opening turned outwards(see pic) to minimize the possibility of a snag. Also the pouch keeps the knife from snagging on anything on the inside of the mudflap.

>WAG - Fairchild C-123 Provider? I don't think so. There are no things and widgets(tm) under the wing. The tail of the mystery aircraft is saying "C-130" to me, are there other aircraft with similar tails?

Attached is a pic of a C160 Transall. Doesn't look the same to me. The fisheye makes it difficult to judge though. The C130-theory states that the jumpers are covering the inboard engines...

What plane is in the pic? http://www.enclave.com/cgi-local/if/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Exits&image=jump51.JPG&img=&tt= Suggestions so far include: -G222 -C160 Transall -C130 edit to add picture of a C-130.

>Any one want to give me any feedback on the Electra??? I have two jumps on an Electra170, so I don't have much feedback to give. As I recall, it opened nice, flew ok, and was surprisingly swoopy for a canopy that size. Good thing you get to jump a transition canopy before the 150. >Is this a beer jump if it's not my canopy, seriously It's your rig isn't it? It's the first jump on that rig right? BEER!
