>Work???? Yes, I have heard this "work" mentioned in the tales of the elders.

Maybe they'll have an Internet-cafe or something there?

Icon H/C reserve deployment system?
ernokaikkonen replied to ernokaikkonen's topic in Gear and Rigging
And now it's marketed as new breakthrough invention... "This technology, formerly found only on high altitude, high-speed military systems is now available to everyone in the Icon." Older Atoms use the cotton webbing, newer ones, like my dom2002 Legend, use elastics. -
The glasses are probably the most important part of the fit. Like I mentioned in an earlier post today, I don't care much for wearing a mailbox on my head, but the same principles apply for goggle-users: When buying a new pair of glasses, alway take a pair of goggles with you to the optician. The glasses should be "low-profile" eg not get too far away from your face. Taking a fullface to the optician's might feel silly, but at least you don't have to do it too often... Many models of frames extend to the sides from the lenses. I haven't managed to fit any of these under my tube-goggles. The frame should turn directly backwards from the edge of the lense. Difficult to explain, here are a couple of examples: (edited for typo)

Icon H/C reserve deployment system?
ernokaikkonen replied to ernokaikkonen's topic in Gear and Rigging
The lines are stowed in the elastics? Like PdF gear has had since at least the mid-90s? Or something completely different? Sorry, having difficulties visualizing from your description... Any pics or drawings extremely welcome. -
According to an old and possibly inaccurate freefall table I have: After 5 seconds your speed will be 124 feet/second. After 5 seconds you will have fallen 366 feet.

From the Aerodyne website: Does anyone have details of this? What's it like? Pictures? -
> in the UK you need a license to own a TV! I shit yeah not sir. Same here... It's a national sport among students and other "rebels" not to pay the license-fee... and then not answer the doorbell in the fear it might be the tv-license inspector!

Full-Face Helmet Question (BoneHead/Z1)
ernokaikkonen replied to taz9420's topic in Gear and Rigging
Get a powerdrill and make yourself a vent, if you feel like one is necessary. AFAIK all fullfaces can fog up sometimes. And don't listen to anything I say, I don't jump fullface helmets. Don't feel like jumping with a mailbox on my head. -
If the posts are validated anything like in my forum and chat, the problem is that "illegal" characters like < and > are turned into entities < and > before the smilie codes are converted into smilies. Another thing I noticed when trying out the "new" features: There's no reason to wrap most of the new elements(, , , , , ) between s, they'll break lines by themselves. The additional s just make the post too "spacey". But of course Sangiro knew all that, it just isn't a high priority.

I like my evil icon better though.

New icon probably doesn't work because the > is changed into a > when the post is validated.

[>:)] Excellent... (what's this, the new icon doesn't work?) There's a new icon I haven't seen You can make lists like this one one more bullet A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. A paragraph of text can be indented. a horizontal separator Text can be aligned to the right... Looks like it's been a while since I've looked at it either...

>How to? Safety tips? Pointers? I've never tried one... Be prepared. Things can happen.

>On a side note fossil fuel consumption is the one thing about >skydiving I feel guilty about. I guess it doesn't leave me much >room to talk. If you're feeling bad about it, why don't you just pick up BASE?

"brett willard" returns no less than 5 profiles here on DZcom... the ones where a canopy has been specified, it says "Icarus Extreme". That'll probably be an FX(7 cells*3=21) or a VX(9 cells*3=27). I haven't seen the Feb Skydiving.

PISA got merged into Aerodyne International.

Last sunday was a nice sunny day with the temperature at -5C(23F). I jumped for the first time in 6 months, and landed half a km from my apartment, on a frozen lake... Not really much to do with your post, just wanted to say that that didn't suck at all.

The Saddam and George Show - Humor From Across The Pond

mwahahhaaa! I actually laughed out loud at "Blair: The translator would like to take your answer home with him and work on it over the weekend."... -
>ever used the Private Message option? With the amount of new posters the forums see every day these days, it's a good idea to remind them all about basic netiquette. Damn, my sig is so long I have to add this last sentence to keep up with the netiquette myself...

>Dare I ask if anyone has experienced this?... Yup, many times, most often it has been the shadow of the airplane though.

Birdman Inc. expressly states that you should not jump a wingsuit with a pull-out.
