...for giving a sorry-ass skybum a ride from Stansted all the way to Gatwick! Next time beers will definitely be on me!

You don't have to go that far... Dan replied to this thread.

Damn! Like I said some time ago, it looks like we have to stop making fun of GWB now... Well, we can always crack jokes at Saddam.wondering how long this will take...

Looked in "trailers", "wingsuits", "base", and finally found it here: ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/from%20TV/TombRaiderBirdMan.WMV

This gets maybe a bit complex, but how about "last modified/confirmed"? Maybe a reminder email could be automatically be sent to the person who entered the data, say, every 6 or 12 months?

>Siam Air Sports >I think they got their new aircraft (C-206). BPA rules. tight landing area. The website has been offline for quite a while now. I haven't heard of them getting a new plane after the previous one crashed.

>Which song goes through your head on the ride to altitude? A lot of stuff from the soundtrack of "Antigravity".

I think it boils down to each person's own level of acceptable risk. Some people think that jumping without an AAD is not worth the risk. Some people think that jumping a sub100sqft canopy is not worth the risk. Some people think that jumping a sub150sqft canopy is not worth the risk. Others(so I've heard) think that jumping is not worth the risk. Where do you draw the line of making things illegal?

What not to do (how the Aggie almost died)
ernokaikkonen replied to AggieDave's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
>"Before the canopy was even fully deployed, I was fighting some linetwists." > >Poor body position Dave? Ouch! That's gotta hurt... AggieDave: Did you check your altitude after 2000ft? You don't mention that, but I got the impression that you knew you were burning through 1500ft? So you lost a 1000ft in a spinning dive without line-twists? -
I haven't been near an Internet connection lately, so I haven't read the forums for two weeks now. Looks like I haven't missed much.

Try the photography forum. Although most people there will tell you that it's not the trouble, and that camerahelmets made by reputable manufacturers will be better and safer.

Hey, don't forget: 12500(?) => Big Chief

Things that sound okay in a skydiving context...

You know, that can be intepreted in two ways on DZs too... -
>The most comfortable rig I ever owned had reverse thread-throughs. What are those?

First of all: Parachute systems aren't planned to withstand head-down deployments, but will probably stand more G's than your body will. That being said: Soft links are stronger than #5 french links, so if this really troubles you, have soft links installed in your reserve. I don't think the smaller(and thus weaker) #3.5 links are used on reserves at all, but I'm not really sure about this one.

Funny remarks by skydivers

The proper way to do a cross-country is to exit directly above the DZ and see how far you can go. -
The only reason to get the small rings is "because they look cooler". He has already stated that he'll get type 8 risers, why would he get the small rings? If being fashionable isn't a consideration, the large rings are the way to go.

So Red Line was Guys alter ego?

South Africa. And Australia after that.

Yeah, I guess I could pinch the hub that's being used with the printers, but somehow I don't think that would last. Anyway I wont be working here after monday...

Could the "xx has replied to your post" email-notification be modified slightly? If the thread in which the reply is would be mentioned in the title of the email, it wouldn't be even necessary to open the message(which would be very nice to people using webmail-accounts and dial-up connections).

Oh, good, definitely, the real world can be a real bummer every now and then. Delusions help.

>oh well .... the people are cool ...but a bit delusional from time to time I guess...

A revolution you say? How about something like this?

>Wasn't Trilllian Zaphod's chick friend in Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? Yes. About the scam, does anyone know how it actually works?
