I have a spectacularly drunk call on my phone threatening me for not calling when I was in North Carolina a week or so ago. I'm thinking it was Loudiamond, cause I've gotten some very spectacular calls from him while in strip clubs. (Last time I was in Norf Carlinar was for black biker week about 8 years ago) "You were in Norf Carrlinar, and you dinnint even cow" Must've been El diamante.

How to configure a Hawkeye w/ Canon Rebel on top and Pc9 on side.

http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=178338;sb=post_latest_reply;so=ASC;forum_view=forum_view_collapsed;;page=unread#unread That's a link to my hawkeye setup. You might choose to put a wedge under the camera, I had a machinist friend make me one, and that keeps both cameras at the same angle. Do the video camera first, then adjust the windage and elevation of the film camera. I've found it's easier to adjust the stroboframe QR's than to try and shim the Dbox. JP -
I'd recommend "sustained uterine compressions accompanied by manual digitary erotic zone manipulation"

No darling, the lack of kids and therefor the lack of any need to choose a space with a door is all it takes. Plus maybe a jacuzzi tub with really cool seats. And a fireplace. And a really big armchair. There was a sauna in there somewhere too. We were cracking each other up. 17 years married this month. Both in our 40's. Yeah, love dies. (Well it does, actually, but never take it off the life-support. It will come back like JASON!) Bwah!

Fabulous. Find ways to drop "perky" in there. Something about perkiness and the need to be fast-tracked to Major. "Manipulated her General Officer with both charm and guile, managing to get home for a drinkfest with a comrade and a hormonal adjustment with a retired SF NCO consultant." "Utilized native technologies to consult with west coast chaos manager regarding matters of self-actualization methodologies relevant to the morale gradient in the Gulf Theater" Bwah! Why are you writing your own evaluation?! Isn't somebody supposed to be watching you guys!? Cheers Katie, JP

Forgot to post my numbers. !:2:0 Just two jumps on Friday. Got my digital fill flash camera operational again, had some switch issues. Wife won this very fancy-schmancy trip to the Sonoma Mission Inn and Spa for this million dollar wine tasting thing Sat, Sun, and Mon. People bid on lots of wine and dinners in caves and stuff. Great wine. Lots and lots and lots of great free wine. Nice hotel too, but I'd never spend that kind of money on a hotel when there's much better B&B's around. Rode the bike up, it was a nice weekend.

Yes. I will not capture those images "for the video" Actually, the very drunken pool party is captured on last year's video, it's just too dark to really see anything. Mujie's tongue-strobe thingie was a big hit, though -
Michele, you're posting from the future! It's still only 7:56 AM on September 2 here. Screw real-estate, you gotta make some money in the stock market with that talent!

Thanks again. Very nice resource! JP

The pool is warm indeed. See, you stoke up skydivers on free beer, then they drink shots of whatever until they are all alcohol heat-engines. Then you throw a couple of topless chicks in there, and then a dozen or so heat-engines hop in, and viola! Heated pool. (No need to add urine) -
They neglect to mention that you have made many internet friends who will chop off the heads of others at your request. Share that little factoid with your whuffo friend.

The 550EX keeps up just fine. I put a fresh set of alkaline batteries in, and it just about keeps up with however fast I want to shoot. I'm going to switch to high-performance rechargeables pretty quick here. Anybody know a good source for high-performance rechargeable AA batteries?
-
THanks for that explanation, Brent. I have both the cross site (on my tandem video helmet) and the concentric (On my fill-flash 10D helmet). They are both dynamite, but I am loving the concentric for photography. That's a nice offer too. Shucks, I missed it! JP

Congrats on your 300th!

Why yes it is! Send it to me c/o Skydive Arizona 4900 N Taylor Rd Eloy, AZ 85231 (520) 466-3753 (manifest) *If want to send gear early and needs a reserve repack,I can run it over to the loft and it will be ready when you arrive. Just send me a PM. BB My god, what service! -
My helmet's at the DZ, I'll pick it up and take some pictures sometime this week.
-
That's the 550EX. The built in flash only synch's to 200, I think. The 550 on the high speed synch setting will let you use flash at any shutter setting. My fill flash setup is big and ungainly. It would never have occurred to me to do it if I hadn't seen McGowan flying two of them on one helmet! That flash on that camera is very smart. Perris jp has a similar setup. Mine is on a Batrack, and jp's is on a Flat-top.

I don't mean to be a bully, Lori. I love you. But you're gonna do it anyway, and it is worth the sacrifice. My recent purchase of a Skyflyer3 in hopes of capturing magazine photos, however..... Do it Lori, you won't be sorry. JP

No changes. That's a 20MM Canon lens with the 550 flash. Auto focus. I like it. It's more than the tandem passengers are paying for. The helmet, with the 10D, the 550 flash, and a 120 PC is pretty exclusive for a tandem fee.
-
No Lori, these pics are for me and the good of the DZ. This passenger was not paying, and didn't even buy his video (we've had a rash of folks with just enough money to jump, but not enough to buy the experience on video or DVD. These pics are just me giving back to my DZ. I'll be unemployed pretty soon, so I'll be charging pretty soon too.

Go digital now Lori. A shot from today with fill flash on autofocus on the 10D:
