  1. Thanks Ray, both my Wings rigs have the big pilot chute and the 9 foot bridle. I think Henri must be able to see the future! One thing I didn't post about is how fun the openings are. It seems almost exactly like doing a crew exit out of the KingAir. Subterminal vertically, but with great forward speed. There's nothing about it that wasn't fun. I had lots of folks say the reason they don't want to try it is because of the claustriphobia of the restrictiveness of the suit, but it's nothing compared to a thick wetsuit and hood for SCUBA. I'm really looking forward to jumping with more, talented people. TallGuy is really gonna be something
  2. Ack! Sorry! Yeah, I know you and the MonkeyPosse will be in the house. I'm thinking Loudiamond and SM1 are gonna be in the house just to get some wicked-cool digital photomographs in the Bird-thingie. Ooh. We gotta plan a rodeo with you on the MonoUno! Very cool photo oppormotunity! How many more days?......
  3. No fooling! You made the Mouth buy hers! I'm surprised she didn't make you lead by example! Buyourdamnticketwoman!
  4. The diamond line. http://www.royal-lens.com/ Max Cohn is a skydiver who's given a lot back. He's got a .3 and a .5. I have both, I use the .5 for tandems. The .3 can be used inside anything. Low profile, great optics.
  5. That was a great idea. I'm so glad to hear it.
  6. Hey brothers and sisters, wow. 3 more today. Roasted Paul on the first jump, so he got his shit together and waxed me on number two. We agreed to a truce and exited right on top of each other on number three, I dropped in on his right hand and docked for three seconds. We made the turn to downwind and I turned inside his radius and came up on his left hand and docked. F*cking rock-solid. Once we were stable we both pushed out with our feet and were freaking hauling ass, straight-ahead, rock freaking solid. We were both laughing like banshees. At about 8 grand we undocked and he showed me his experience cause he can hit his position and I have to still ease into mine. But then I had his speed and we separated for pull. Yeah. I'm hooked. So different from a camera suit. But I think a camera suit is a good experience, but camera suits are mostly just vertical brakes, and are inherently pretty unstable. Well, giant wing rigs like mine. The Wingsuit is designed to be stable, and man, you can tell. Thank you Jari. That is some really good shit you got there. JP
  7. Hopefully before the end of August so I can get the pantz and get laid like SM1 and LouDiamond. You thing Jari would trade a SF3 for a matched pair of Ruger .44 mag stainless Vaqueros? Got the way-cool cowboy holsters and everything. Gotta sell the old hobbies.
  8. Did the GTi today, very nice, very smooth. I got briefed by our two birdmen, hooked up my rig, went over the dive with the handle checks, practiced emergency procedures, got on the plane and got out second, CRW style, with Paul. The exit is kinda like a tandem camera suit exit. Everything is in until you pick up speed, then ease everything out. Then everything is totally birdman. Vertical speed seems to stop, and horizontal speed is the name of the game. Completely different from anything else. To be able to see traffic on the ground, and to be travelling WITH it, was extraordinary. Turned left off the plane, downwind and then a short base. When I landed, one of the tandem masters complimented Paul for getting so far out, but it turns out it was me. My horizontal speed was amazing, my vertical speed was about 80-85 the whole flight, but maybe that's the exchange for so much forward speed. Getting out way after the tandems, and opening after them was pretty weird too. The suit is still hooked up to my rig, and I'll do nothing but Birdman tomorrow until MadJohn collects it. Along with his case of beer.
  9. My Mom came out and watched me land a couple times last weekend, and watched some videos and stills I'd shot. I was surprised at that much. Neither of my parents will ever do a skydive. But they're happy it makes me so happy, so I'll take that.
  10. The 10D is fine for all the "regular" types of skydiving. You can take about 60 shots a minute. Way more than the selectivity you have to practice with film in the camera.
  11. I only have the Canon 20. I have noticed that the really good camera geeks get too close to me for full-body framing. They are used to that 28 or 20 on a film camera. So before I go up with freefliers, I have to show them how far back I need them for full frame shots. During the dirt dive I'll frame them in the camera and tell them "this is the distance we want, with my back to the sun". It has helped a lot.

I jumped with him just a couple of weeks ago. The Parachute Center in Lodi.
  13. Pretty Arthur, but none of them were shot at 120 mph plus. Check out the pics with Anita and Chop. I'm gonna try and sell Parachutist on the 10D versions. JP
  14. Thanks Katie. There's a real seat behind me, for a woman who will do thousands of miles on the bike..... We get a Corbin Pillion saddle on the Redbone express, maybe you got a keeper....
  15. Two of my favorite people. Eloy is a lucky place! Party light lit. BRING IT!
  16. Yeah, I was amazed you knew where it was. What a beautiful road! It was a wonderful trip. JP
  17. I doubt they will ever be final. You'll just have to have the ex and the new guy get along. Really, really good.
  18. Boxed Merlot. I gotta cut back.....
  19. I'm there, gorgeous woman. Me and my video crew. Rock on. JP
  20. They're pictures, Arthur, if people have questions or want to talk about the slide show, they can. I'm sharing my weekend. It was fun.
