  1. Everyone's ring finger will be longer then their index... nope, it don't make you Dirk Diggler. lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  2. They say close to a full size larger. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  3. Every line in that movie is my favorite line. The laughs just keep on coming seriously. lol "Careful man! There's a beverage here!" "I'm just going to go and uh,.. find bank machine." "This is not Nam Donny, this is bowling. There are rules." "Shut the f*ck up Donny!" My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  4. What's up RedLine? Uh Jen, someone going through a static line progression can learn to pack to you know. lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  5. Let me get this straight. You think it's cooler to get out tha plane with other grown men holding your hands then to leave the aircraft all by yourself? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  6. Ever landed a plane? When nose-down, you're blind to airspace above and infront of you. You do not want to be over the active runway, under canopy, when the plane is due to land. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  7. Uh, Dog? They do have right of way. The powered aircraft must give right of way to the non-powered. And though the parachute is not an "aircraft" in the US, the operations the pilot was conducting would call for it. Right of way is besides the point though. Pedestrians have right of way over cars, but if someone jumps out in front of you with no time to react, you won't be held responsible for manslaughter. As discussed earlier, there are some spots you just can't see form the plane's cockpit... you don't want to be over the runway under canopy when the plane is on final. The jumper was under canopy so unless it was a round, he had a wing. The plane was the DZ's. It had just released the jumpers. It was expected to land at the DZ in order to take up another load. It didn't fly over the DZ unexpectedly and nobody had to "spot" it... just not be over the runway under canopy. This was completely avoidable... by not being over the runway under canopy. Because all signs point to it wasn't his fault. There are people who's job it is to investigate, and decide if we are wrong. He is being heavily scrutinized and if he bares responsibility, he will be held accountable. Do you have some info that the FAA, FLA police, DZO, Jumpers involved and posters to DZ.com do not? Please share, if you do. And just like any other family, you show us that there is a degree of disfunction. That's okay Dog, we love you anyway. lol Well, likely because they don't want to see another life destroyed when it can be prevented. I don't know the family or anyone involved, but they defend the pilot, likely because they knew what Gus did involved a degree of risk, and that he had them aware that they should not lay blame on someone else, should he ever get hurt. Unless of course, there was a degree of gross negligence involved.... I take it they feel there isn't one, as they seem to think the charges are ridiculous. As is wanting blood, without knowing what occurred. Nick Note: My point of view depends on the fact that the pilot was on final, on course with the runway and hadn't veered off of it for some reason. 8. I've thought about it. That's certainly the only input I put in consciously for tiny movements. Perhaps it is enough to drive my feet forward a bit, creating a desireable angle from the knees down for forward drive (given that I feel I'm applying the same 'pressure' everywhere else?)... buh??? I don't know. I'll have to get video I suppose. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  9. I would love to give the ladies facials at Christmas!... I had no idea it was an acceptable practice!! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  10. Yeah, the thing is, in the event of an emergency, you can exit without a helmet.... You really really shouldn't exit without a rig My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  11. Oh Jenny I'm sorry to hear that. The new silver cute one yeah? Booooo!! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  12. The one, now 7 reply' up, IS the metal one My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  13. And none of that real whipped cream either. Pumpkin pie is one of those things that's does better with the eadible oil product Cool Whip then with real (much better) whiped cream IMO. MMMmmmm, now I want pie. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  14. I'd vote for the c-130, but in the interest of feasibility, I'll take talking her friends to the boogie. College girls are always a welcom addition to any skydiving function no? lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  15. We had our first "stick around" snowfall last night and the day before. Got to make my first snow angels and my first e-brake turns of the season! Love donughts and brake turns! Love the snow! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  16. Thanks Tonto. For the record, this is the one you and Diablo are refering to (attached). Melikes! I can get a real firm grasp with a handle like that, it seems pretty hardcore/firm, and the blade is stainless and replaceble. Adding to the "wish list" now
  17. Thanks diablo. Actually, I did a search before posting and had found a thread in which you shared this advice. Makes sense to me and I've spoken to a few in person that agree with the problems of two blades. You've mentioned the Raptor before, but it is also two bladed. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  18. Hahaha! I saw that picture in the history/trivia forum. I recognized that knife as a Hitler Youth dagger. (I have one myself). I would hate to have to use something like that under a spinner. They say you should carry two knifes because it's "certain" that you'll drop the first one. With that blade, I'd be more concerned about dropping a few fingers! lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  19. More, do you figure, then a "Raptor" or "Jack the Ripper" ? I mean, that yellow one has a big "clunky" handle to it but shares similar dimensions. The OMS line cutter looks real hot and comes in at 4.87". My concern with that one is that the blade seems to run all the way down it's edge and also, the "gap" is fairly large and would likely allow a finger in. I always liked the Benchmade... can you tell me it's "length" roughly? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  20. Well, that's sorta the point. The Hook knife is an excellent idea for something that isn't too expensive, but that will still be quite meaningful and useful (well actually, hopefully NOT useful lol) to me. Come on folks? Nobody ever seen these in person? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  21. When in sit, I cover a lot of the tiny distances with my feet. Pointing my toes down (when all else remains the same) will give me a slight forward drive and vice versa. ... at least, I'm pretty sure that's how I do it . lol My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  22. Thanks for the clarification. Yeah, that's very different then what John was describing... Different in the sense that this jumper IS NOT READY when sitting comfortably in the plane. If you ask me, that is unacceptable. People may flame me and say to each their own, but IMO, this is something that affects other jumpers on the load. In the event of an emergency, this instructor will be adjusting before exit, there is a good chance that this will hold others up. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
  23. Hello all, As is, I don't wear a hook knife. Family is starting to ask about a christmas wish list though, and I have been thinking it would be a nice idea. One thing you hear a lot of when discussing them, is how easy it is to fumble around and drop one given the nature of any situation you would need one for. So I started looking at SCUBA net cutters, designed for use underwater, with thick neoprene gloves on and such. The most "Clumsy Proof" one I found was the Beaver Pro (picture attached). It has a cool muff-diver-type of name, it's sturdy and looks pretty hard to drop. Has anyone seen one in person or used one? Opinions? Then I move on to the cooler, Bond-type gear. lol. Any opinions on items such as The OMS line cutter or the Scubapro mesh cutter in comparison to say the popular Benchmade blades we tend to see? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!
