But a world Government would have to look at the entire planet as one country. What are now considered 'countries' would be looked at as provinces.... er... States if you will. I'm not denying that some rich people would be made less rich and some poor people would be made less poor. Again, the world is getting to be a smaller place. There's no need for some of the distinctions we have between people... I heard somebody's theory one time about how, with all the inter-racial partners and procreation going on today, that we as humans are heading towards one single race! makes sense to me... soon, there will be only one 'culture'. Do we have to wait much longer to realize that we really are one single, LARGE family? Trade should be regulated at first because nobody will be first to say, "I will export this to you without profit because it's the sensible thing to do!"... Hahah true. Depending on the power source, the vibrating alti may have to be considered a backup to a backup... Your audible would still beep, but it would trigger the vibrator which would HAVE to have it's own power source. Makes me wonder though, How many 'rings' I'd get out of my cell phone if I put it on vibrate and let it ring until the batteries died? Probably quite a bit no? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

I think it's a great idea! You could use the switch in any regular audible alti and use a vibrator with it's own power source. I'm with Clay in that through the violence of freefall, you may not perceve the extra vibrations but depending on where you put it i.e. in the small of your back, under your rig or something... who knows?

Uhhhhh, not exactly. You, as an individual, still get to pick the career you are going to work, it will pay what it pays, you may make more money and have a bigger house than your neighboor... You get to pick where you live, what you eat, and nobody will tell you that you cannot have something just because someone else doesn't have it. On a larger scale, an exception to this is made when one group has all of product X and another group is dying because they cannot afford to buy it from them. Importation and exportation of the products everyone needs from one location to another location is all I am refering to. And it would be based on logic. True, there are many companies in the states which are more powerfull than small countries in Africa but that would no longer matter. These are the people who would be upset with the change because they would no longer be able to inflate the value of what they are providing... If there is a World Government, there is no "most powerful countries" and there are no private "interests" to further. World economics would be ever so simple... just like the examples in your typical colledge economics class... "If 'country A' can make 50 units of product X and 2 of product Y... And 'country B' can make 60 units of pruduct Y and 5 units of product X... Then country A puts all their efforts into production of product X and country B, product Y! And most importantly, everyone gets enough of both product" I can imagine a lot of people saying "It's not that simple" but you know what? It is! If YOU were in controll of the entire planet, you would no longer see the East and the West... You'd see YOUR planet. Carrie, I did my flight training at a government subsidized flight school which shall remain nameless and man were the instructors ever full of themselves! Relax, I can't stress it enough... Relax. If you're in a breifing room with this guy, and getting tense, close your eyes and take a deep breath (do it right in front of him) One thing that helps... particullarly on prog rides if you're nervous, is to tell yourself that you are paying for this!!! In fact, you are providing this guys paycheck! If you think he's being a jerk, it is very important you address the issues on the ground... Go to him one day when you are not sheduled to fly together and tell him how you feel... It is also important that you not be threatening. Quade is right in telling you to document. However, I would add that you be weary about leading the revolution. Aviation is a smaaaaaalll world and if you are looking for a career in this field, the sad truth is that you are going to have to put up with all sorts of "people" Anyway, stick with! it and know you're shit! I did not call rhino "moronic". Check the context. The concept that serving in the millitary is twice as important as voting is moronic. Voting is giving your oppinion, serving the Army is fighting for someone else's (keep in mind I am not flaming the military now) As far as "Mr. war hero"... I'm sorry I called you a war hero... NOT! Acctually, this is inevitable... the history of mankind has seen many different world dominating powers... At one point, the Egyptians were the powers that be and were in controll of the entire known world! The Romans took their turn rulling over what was the discovered planet too! The British could definately say that at one point, there was no one more powerful than them. What about Babylon? (spelling?)... Hey, let's not forget that at one time, the world was ruled by large reptiles... The United States of America!!! an all mighty franchise, has stepped up to the plate and has done a great job of being "Big Brother" to the world but the not-so-sad fact is that the ball can only reamain in their court for so long... The other fact of the matter is that the world is getting smaller. As populations increase and communication couldn't be easier between different nations, the only way to move forward as a species is to drop all concepts of false lines and elect a world governing body. I'm with you. I like to take naps on the way to altitude from time to time but not everytime! You'd think we were all old folks the way we are always sleeping!
