Who? me?... I am? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Skydiving has added that much-needed 'grain of salt' with wich every single aspect of life is meant to be taken with! I mean honnestly, since I've held my own life in my own hands...and do so on a regular basis... All things in life become sooooo much simpler does it not? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

QuoteCould you spot your self onto an open wind tunnel and "be caught" by the upward blowing air? say 100 or 120mph...? Quote Could this be attempted with a long 'line up' of open tunnels and a wingsuit? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Oh my goodness! Please don't! I have been asked (as I'm sure many of you have) by whuffos about this guy and I tell them all the same thing: "Stupid!" Of course, It's just my oppinion that when jumping from a plane, one should at least be wearing a parachute!... If not, then at least a helmet LOL! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Here's one to think about, I keep my rig, jumpsuit, clothes and books in a rubbermaid bin. It's just big enough to hold it all snug and I don't think it could offer better protection. I throw it in the trunk on the way out to the DZ, it Water Proof!, puncture proof etc. A friend of mine gave me the idea and straps could easily be attached to lug it around on your back. I can't quite get the helmet in but that's okay 'cause i wear it on my head :-) My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Yeah, I was interested in some smoke jumping until I looked around and noticed that all related websites list "Obituaries" as the second or third link!!! My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

When was the last time you saw the news and it made you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? This supports my argument that we (mindless indeed) control the media. The press can piss off (or on) anybody they want... the GOV cannot deny them acces to event and info. This is the nature of the press SBS, I'm not saying that the press is not influenced by the governement. Just the opposite acctually. The press is the best tool we have to show the government what we think. They respond via the media aswell. While the same cannot be said about all news stations, I think CNN for one is a very reputable, honnest source for communication. In other words, there is no puppet show here unless you call the anchormen and women the puppets and us/GOV the puppet masters.... I feel mandatory Metalica coming on...

A fitting quote for September 11th Anniversary
goose491 replied to LawnDart21's topic in The Bonfire
I'm not all that religious but I remember a time when sombody could say in response to a mention of God: "Oh, ah, I don't believe in God" I would say:"That doesn't matter... he believes in you" Cheezy? Yes. Offensive? Give me a BREAK people!!! It's soooooo sad that religious beliefs cannot be shared among us because of the few who haven't seen the way and are angry at those who have. Keep in mind, i'm not promoting my way as theway but there has to be a way right! My God goes by many many names. He is not upset if you address him as her, as Boudha, as ET, as.... you may get the point by now he does not get upset when you don't refer to him at all but he DOES get upset if you tell someone else they can't. Sorry for the rant. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! -
The medium is the message!!! The media is OUR tool to communicate to the powers that be. It is sad when this backfires i.e. a Nike commercial will tell you (and make you feel like) you have to buy their shit or you will be miserable. But things are indeed looking better for us when a network like CNN broadcasts what they want, when they want, without (and this is subject to dicussion itself) influence from the GOV. In fact, I'm sure the government likely considers poles taken by CNN on things like "should we attack Iraq" and values them just as much as any vote they would put to their people. This means that we CAN tell THEM what WE think via the media. I'm not trying to discredit the original post as I do believe 'independant thought' has been near-eliminated but this is due to things like political correctness and the desire not to disturb the shit unless it's in someone else's backyard. ROFLMAO!!! I watched him face plant onto the runway and was wondering:"Is he going to dump?" and when he reached for the hackey, and layed his p/c out beside him, I lost it. My co-workers are onto me 'cause there's no reason for me to be laughing this hard at the work I'm supposedly doing on this computer. Thanks alot mccordia!!! j/k My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Here is what I believe to be the most important part of this responce... What I think the California Patriot is crying about!! YEAH! Let's not exclude the possibility that one can be Patriotic without being political... Just love your coutry is all it takes... I don't think the school fails to do that at all.
-
Yeah, me too! Far too many cry-babies nowadays... makes me SBS you too. It seems everyone has hidden agendas when it comes to things like this... And whereby I would be quite distraught to see flag burning, I would still maintain that efforts should be made to keep steering this type of ceremony away from a flag waving one. I do think this later type of ritual tends to lend itself all too easily to a "we're gonna kick your ass" type of mentallity and we've all seen enough of that ass kicking... haven't we? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Do you guys think this is really that crazy? This Qunidel person seem to want nothing more than to Morne the departed... As soon as the flags are a wavin and the songs about American are being sung... well doesn't it take away from pure thoughts of the lives lost??? Also, let's not forget the multiculturism of the "World" trade centre. There were people from all over this rock in those buildings. I may just be playing devils advocate here but it seems to me that Quindel is trying to replace a big 'can't stop the U. S of A!!!' rally in favor of a large gathering to honor those whose lives were taken/affected by the attacks. Same thing goes where God is concerned... You'll see Quindels best concept is that she does not want to 'exclude' anyone. Personally, I think this is one case where all distractions (and things that could cause disagreements among the living) should be omited in favour of people coming together. And God wont mind that he's not invited... He'll probably crash the party anyway... and only half the people there will know about it. ehehe. eh?

Lisa, Here is something else you can hope for when you watch. I saw a clip on ReatTV. It was the finals in a car bouncing competition and one of the finalists had his pimp-mobile jumping over 5 feet easily. All of a sudden, part of one of his wheel rim breaks off and is sent flying, by the compressed tire, right into his face!!! it shattered his jaw and knocked out serveral teeth. Anybody else see that? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

There's a guy who lost both his legs in a mid-air collision with another skydiver and he still jumps now with two very thin false legs and a baggy jump suit!! I saw it on Ripley's. My Karma ran over my Dogma!!!

Bunch of skydiving clips from various james bond movies in the /James Bond/ folder on my site. Golden Eye (chases a porter off a cliff, catches in in freefall) Living Daylights (parachutes out of a freefalling car, lands on a boat) Moonraker (the classic fight in freefall for the single parachute) The Spy Who Loved Me (Skis off a cliff, opens round) Tomorrow Never Dies (HALO jump into water) Dave And wasn't it in License to Kill when Dalton get out of a chopper, ties a line from it to the tail of a cessna that the bad guy is flying and then parachutes into his own wedding??
