    Guess Scott Miller doesn't know that either, cause he teaches that you'll go farther (with the wind) with 3/4 brakes than with risers in his canopy course.     Listen please. If you are headed down the wrong path, when is it best to change direction? Should you stubbornly say "this is the way I'm going, it's the way I've always been going, and it's the way I'll continue to go"? If you leave Florida for Pennsylvania, and find yourself on a road through Texas, shouldn't you change direction? somehow with the way you phrase your arguments, I doubt that you have ever spoken politely with a homosexual........     People using the hand-on-each method have accidentally fired the reserve when they had a hard cutaway *** I have to agree with what you just said, but --- people using both hands for each handle have gotten the main lift web, or nothing at all when it comes to the silver. so each has possible drawbacks.     I had it done to me, Got sent home from work one day about 15 yrs ago, sick with the flu, walked in my front door and looked down the hallway (mobile home) and this guy was plowing her in MY bed....... turned around walked out went to my mothers and went to sleep till later that night, went home and threw her out..... wasnt worth killing either of them or myself over... I can laugh about it now, but it was really hard to learn to trust again after that....... Roy They say I suffer from insanity.... But I actually enjoy it.

    I dont have a huge jump number, but I still get the "anticipation" rush on the way to the dz..... its not the shaky hands sorta rush anymore, but rather the looking foreward to some good skydives, swoops, and spending time with friends.     Reserves are designed to open from any position. *** The reserve parachute is not a magic parachute, they suffer the same malfunctions of a main. Any time you force a main or a reserve to come around your body (IE, unstable) you are increasing your odds of a mal. Line twists - no prob.     I was attempting to fly directly over the formation yes they are a potential snag hazard, I quit using one when Jan Davis had hers snag on her reserve D bag's closing loop, she died. as I understood it, she deployed the reserve before getting stable....
