the first step would be defining clear, acheiveable, measurable objectives to define what a "Win" is.... something we have YET to do... Military force is rarely capable of achieving political objectives.... the current "plan" imo is to little to late... 500,000 at the START might have made a difference.. but ofc would not have allowed Bush to be reelected had he pushed for the force nessesary to accomplish the mission.. selling Iraq as a 'cake walk' and removing those who disagreed, was/is a mistake he still has not taken responsibility for.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

IF your cosmology happens to be correct. but I HAVE met Jesus.. he lives in texas with his family...(when he's not on tour) and he owes me the next round actually :D ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

"For being the "Prime Mover" and all, you've sure let alot of arrogant, ignorant fools destroy the rest of your creation while claiming 'your will'. Perhaps the "hands off' approach didn't turn out as well as you'd expected it to?" ofc if by some ironic twist of fate it ends up that the Xtians are somehow correct it would be... "why did you expect your creation to act in any other way than that which you designed it to do? ie. how can you hold individual souls responsible for YOUR inherent design flaws?" My question would vary greatly by who's "Almighty" was conducting the interview... i wonder how Xtians would react if suddenly faced with Odin/Allah/Vishnu for example.....? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Trump is hardly a "moral authority' but Rosie's comments were way over the line.. to be honest i'm sickened by how much press this stupid tiff is getting.. the best suggestion yet is a Cage/Boxing match.. actually i did answer them.. no i dont have a link as i stated i know of few 'Pagans' who care about publicising their Religion or it's Celebrations.. ofc you've already lumped any such groups into "Hippies looking for a reason to celebrate" so with that attitude i cant imagine anyone inviting you to a Yule Celebration anyway... there are a number of ancient rituals associated with Yule that ARE practiced among various Pagan groups across the US.. but as with any religious ritual if you arent willing to provide basic respect and participation (and there are no 'observers' in most Pagan Rituals) you wont be asked to attend. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

your personal convictions of your BELIEFS do not justify you interfering in my life. I suppose that the many who is completely convinced you will DIE if you get in your car this morning is justified in stealing your, keys, car. Abducting you etc... all to save you from his BELIEF? your (borrowed as usual) argument is meaningless.. you KNOW NONE of what you BELIEVE, you simply think you do, and somehow that jusifies you annoying (to the point of "repent or death" in previous generations) everyone else with your BELIEF.. you(Xtains) are mistaken. completely. when you can PROVE what you BELIEVE you might have an argument... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Rape Charges Against Duke LaCrosse Players to be Dropped
Zenister replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
based on the 'evidence' i'd seen (admittedly from media sources) its appalling that charges were filed in the first place... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

I just have this picture of you cringing every time someone says "Merry Christmas" and you thinking to yourself "It's Winter Solstice, Asshole!"...or actually saying it. FallRate Merry solstice -
no 100% of the active Stryker BDEs were stop lossed. NO SEPERATION FOR ANY REASON (other than Criminal Charges) you are spliting hairs by implyig the entire unit wasnt frozen simply because only a portion was due to change over... oh and btw.. some units (particularly MI) were over 50% in stop loss at points as they were mostly composed of shortage MOS's.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I've read it many times. why, is your memory bad? can't you afford new books? would you like more, I can send you a couple? (I like to reread books too) i'm sure you'll agree (in part at least) if you cant find something new in a book the second (3rd,4th etc) it probably wasnt worth reading the 1st. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Sorry. I guess I don't use the word evidence as lightly as you do. I see no evidence of a divine creation. Paj makes up his own definitions for such discussions.. it would help if he put them in his Sig so everyone was aware he wasnt using them in their commonly accepted forms.. you know Proof Evidence Reality ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

....I'm almost certain I've never berated anybody for their religion if that person left me alone. I mean, think about it. How many religions are there in this world? If the people practicing those religions keep to themselves and don't bother anybody, do you really have a compelling reason to give them crap? Seriously, I don't give a crap if the guy next door is a full on Satan worshiper if he keeps it to himself. Why should you? Amen.. i've NEVER gone out of my way to start ANY Religious discussion with a Christian..(i have with many other Religions.. the ones that dont push, but instead wait for the soul to seek) but i'm always ready to counter any of their drivel when they come to my door... if you keep your religion to yourself you NEVER have to worry about be challenged on it after all, it really only matters to YOU and GOD. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I'm going to call bullsh*t already. The 101st Airborne is based out of Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The 4th Infantry Division is based at Fort Hood, Texas. There is no unit anywhere, where nearly half of the personnel need to be stop-lossed. No MOS is so hurting that they cannot re-fit during dwell time to allow those that are to ETS to leave.. BOTH Active Stryker BDE's were at one point stop lossed Completely.. it wasnt MOS specific... as to the other details i expect the same level of accuracy as the media gets in anything else "chute failed to open" sound familiar?.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

most injuries of any sort require some form of external support.. which is perfectly fine. when that external support attempts to consume your life and convince you NOTHING you did was the result of your efforts, but instead came from the 'support' instead.. there is a HUGE problem.. i doubt many people would use a crutch that slowly grafted itself to your arm, until you could not seperate it from you. All the while whispering how important it was that you do as it decreed or become crippled forever, and yet other 'injured' types turn to Religion for support, when it does exactly that..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Could you give me a link on the modern day celebration of the Winter Solstice? Particularly in the US? As long as I've been aware of solstices and equinoxes, I've always noted them. It was typically along the lines of acknowledging the physical significance of the event. I know of the rare Solstice parties in the US (typically hippies looking for an excuse to party) and the crowds at Stonehenge. But the decorating trees, burning Yule logs, giving presents, having parties to celebrate the Winter Solstice is news to me. Is this actually common practice? Or are you just trolling? it is fairly common, i've been to a Solstice Celebration that is going on its (Edit: just called and asked) 23rd year at the same site (in Alabama even) but "Pagan's" in general dont have the need or desire to advertise and commericalize their "High Holidays", so its unlikely (unless you have a friend who invites you) you will stumble into one and i've never seen it "Advertised" anywhere... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

generally my first question when calling ANY tech support line is "hi! i'm having a problem..is there anywhere i can get a softcopy of the troubleshooting manual/flowchart you are about to attempt to walk me through???" nothing annoys me more than hearing tech support flip thru the manual... if that is your answer.. SEND ME THE F'N manual.. i probably read faster than you do anyway.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

indeed.. there are a LOT of very persuasive measures short of tasering to control a child that are significantly less risky than tazering... ive seen full grown men brought to their knees in tears with a simple application of a hard object and any number of easily accessible 'control points' LEO's may be familiar with a rather simple wooden stick often marketed as 'the persuader' but its techniques work equally well with any hard object (even a quarter) ow ow ow... based on my (admittedly unscientific) observation of recent LEO incidents in the new.. the general training level, qualifications and currency in technique of LEO in the US is slipping. In everything from basic marksmenship, driving skills, and general judgment.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

it is easily plausible that all of these events, people and institutions would have developed in the absence of Christianity as well... (it is very telling that the same activities you mention when conducted OUTSIDE the context of the prevailing Religion were all subject to persecution and death. Those with the inclinations in that direction had little choice in who/how they worked/studied etc...) they are all part of cultural evolution and development, Christianity was simply the prevailing social organization of the time, this does NOT make it a requisite for any of those developments to have occurred.. should we make a list of all the 'bad' things religion creates as well as the 'good'? do you believe the scales would equal or weigh in Religion's favor though out the course of human history? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
