For CAS loiter time is very important... one of the downsides of replacing the A10 with F16s.. the fast movers are in and gone leaving the ground units without cover while they return.. the A-10 could damn near hover over the engagement area... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Getting ready to. How was the season premier? They pick up with the surrender to the Cylons on some kind of planet and the fleet escapes to regroup right? pretty much.. i wont spoil it, but i will say even the most unobservant will pick up some frightening parallels.. ideas that illustrate how very little is 'black&white'. I imagine this season, if it continues in this vein, will 'offend' a number of viewers incapable of seeing past their inherent prejudices.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

Everyone still watching this? once again Science Fiction..... (vs Sci-Fi.. there is a difference...Google Harlan Ellison and some of his essays on the subject.edit got bored and dug ONE EXAMPLE up :D http://harlanellison.com/buzz/bw175h.htm) ....shows it is one of the few genres that actually address some of the major social/political issues of the time, without beating you over the head with the lead pipe of "this is a message" its so good it makes me sad for those who dismiss Science Fiction to the realm of "nerds and geeks".. you wont find much else on TV that actually lives up the same standards of writing BSG is showing in the new series... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

Yeah, I think sometimes people just grow apart. get different interests and stuff like that. aka expect that it should just 'work' and stop putting any effort into it... Johnny Cash put it best... nothing in a relationship happens for 'No Reason'. well there are always the miltary variant.. all examples i've met SGT Major SGT Sergeant MAJ Major MAJ Sergeant GEN Player ( would seem to be a demotion from MAJ Player) but my favorite is still an Air Force Officer i was seeing for a while.. when i met her i actually made the completely unoriginal joke "Maj Morgan? apparently preparing students for ACTUAL LIFE... is no longer part of the educational process in many states and school districts. Now? no more than usual... The US system has 'devolved' into a monster it was never intended to be... the 2 party system is undermining nearly every principle the US once stood for... VERY few politicians are " of the People" instead they've become a self perpetuating aristocracy... the best method i can imagine to fix it is to allow a "None of the options offered are acceptable, reapply with new candidates" on every ballot.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

No shit, My high school principle was named Richard Head... i took advantage of it and greeted him loudly and often in the halls... he was used to it... some of the 'administrative assistants' aka VPs in charge of 'discipline' hated it.... but they simply couldnt beat my argument... it WAS his name i was using... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

if you cant find the source of your Anger, then you might seek therapy.. mainly because a trained therapist can help you talk thru your issues to (hopefully) let you deal with them.. dealing with being Angry isnt hard, particularly if your aware enough to recognize when it IS affecting your behavior.. but not knowing WHY you are angry (or still Angry after something minor) would tend to indicate there is an underlying issue that isnt being addressed, and it is 'coloring' everything else.. (not a mental health professional... but I have alot of personal experience with Anger and Anger Management) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
