amazing cinematography, i can see why any director would use any excuse to shoot in the Forbidden City and Imperial Palace. the sort of Epic Tragedy Western writers stopped creating shortly after Shakespeare (perhaps because he did it to well to follow) Love, Honor, Duty, Lust, and Betrayal that you can see coming miles away but cannot stop watching.. unfortunately also the kind of story American audiences are largely to illiterate and ignorant to really apprechate.. the reason i dislike "relax, focus, flow" is that is a far to simplistic summary of the work and ideas.. if it is that easy, why do i need to read the book? I've already learned everything i need to know from the subtitle.. does everyone remember all the 'just feel it' coaching advice from early freefliers? was that advice REALLY that helpful for someone who was struggling to learn something difficult? you could easily burn the videos to DVD when you are not viewing/modifying them daily. Sure i could fill every harddrive i have if i wanted to, but having a back up library is cheaper, more efficient and prevents loss in the case of catastrophic HD failure. and wireless easier? what is easier than plugging in a cat 5 cable? you certainly dont have to worry about anywhere near the security issues or configurations. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

agree here. however your numbers are FAR to low... 400,000 to 500,000 is/would be required. but a fundamental part of the problem is the Military is NOT a 'Police Force' (with all the public/cultural relations, investigation and determinations of Actual Insurgent (criminal acts regardless of nationality) vs sympathizers and those who simply want what they view as an Occupation Force out of their country) and that is exactly the mission they are required to perform 90% of the time in Iraq, with the other 10% being the combat missions they are actually trained to perform. We (as a nation) lose a lot of credibility every time an 11b(or other 'grunt' who's training is COMBAT, not Cultural Relations) does something completely stupid that a trained Police Officer (Military or otherwise) would know isnt proper or acceptable behavior. Rumor travels faster than light, particularly in less advanced societies where it is the primary means of information dissemination. WE make a life long enemy when we kick in a door, arrest every adult male member who has YET to do anything wrong... as soon as they are released, where do you think they go?? it certainly isnt to thank the Military Force that just invaded their HOME for no cause they know of... why put a wireless card in a desk top? cat 5/6 is soooo much cheaper and more reliable.. also depending on how long you plan to keep the machine.. why bother with overclocking as well as it significantly lowers the life expectancy of your CPUs under best conditions.. if you have a cooling failure then your DOA that much faster.... not trying to pick you apart here but you DID specify 'bare bones' you should look at the applications you intend to run, determine how long you expect to keep that box viable and THEN find the components that fit your need.. you dont need massive high end harddrives for MOST applications...do you really expect to fill up 4 HDs? perhaps a regular back up/restore solution will work more efficiently for applications you only launch maybe once a year... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

so in relation to this current plan, do you have an opinion (that you can share)? to me it is a half measure. we have put no where near the force required and this latest 'effort' is not enough either.. Politicians should give the Military the Mission, THEN give them the RESOURCES required to achieve it.. that isnt/hasnt happened yet (imo) and the failure to recognize that fact starts at the top.. do you think its fair or honorable to be told to go into combat with less than the force required to complete the mission? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

so (in your opinion) protest and resistance to an ill conceived, poorly planned Politically motivated, War of Aggression is the same as spitting on a soldier? i dont think we are ever going to agree on that.. I spend most of my time training and preparing soldiers and their equipment for War, and have deployed (twice as a civilian, once as a soldier) to directly support THEM. However that doesnt mean i'm going to stand idly by when POLITICIANS attempt to use a sword as a hammer... everyone should be against using a tool incorrectly.. it weakens (or breaks) the tool.. and like it or not Military Force is a tool... practice will make *anyone's handwriting LEGIBLE...continual practice might not make it 'beautiful' with all its subjective connotations. But writing (or drawing for that matter) is simply a physical skill.. *anyone with 'average dexterity' can have perfectly legible handwriting IF they dedicate themselves to practice. the problem is that some (i'd argue MOST now, keyboards definitely contribute to the lack of currency in my handwriting) are to lazy to take the time to practice enough and claim "oh my handwriting is just poor." of course it is... you simply didnt practice enough... seriously.. no one without a physical limitation has any excuse for poor handwriting other than failure to practice.. what is the quote from a sig here? "argue for your limitations and they surely become your own".
