OUCH.. my father actually had a parachute related accident as a load master at Bragg...a staticline jumper got hung on the side of the C130 and my father climbed out on the rollers to cut him free..as he did they hit a burble and he nearly went out..caught the edge of the door with his hands and was literally hanging by his wedding ring..didnt take his finger off, but they had to cut it to get it off..he didnt wear it for almost 15 years, even after he stopped flying..but the scar there always reminded him it helped save his life.... i wear my closing pin necklace when jumping but it breaks rather easily if pulled..ive seen people with leather thongs or parachute cords for the necklace and that is a bit frightening.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

not as much now as there was 6 years ago. unless youve got the server hosts and the models etc... one of my soldiers actually started a couple of porn sites while he was still in..bought a brand new corvette after the second month (he was an E4) by the 6th month he was making enough money to pay the BDEs training budget that year..kinda hard to motivate him to do anything, but he still had 2 years left, so of course the dumb ass colonel turned down his chapter paperwork...so a former 300+ PT stud starts failing..and the command makes us give him remdial pt..finally the division sgt major talked some sense into the colonel since moral was going to hell with everyone was laughing at the command for being such idiots...near impossible to give orders to a soldier who makes more money in a month than the division commander does in a year.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

ja your right....was doing to many drugs then... tiny toons started off with some nice high brow refrences..in one art oriented episode they founc Picasso's glasses and had a game show where they gave away a Jackson Pollack paint by numbers kit.. i nearly sprayed my coke when i saw it.. then animaniacs came out and tiny toons got 'dumbed down'..unfortunately tiny toons is still running isnt it? Animaniacs isnt..i think ive seen all of them...wish i could remember the "international friendship song" it would be fun at a boogie..
