once you get the basic formations, say a 6way with 4 flats and 2 hangers, instead of always getting larger, you can turn each '3 way' piece for points too..its really cool how much control the hangers have to fly the whole peice around, and it keeps the dives interesting without adding more bodies that may not be ready for larger dives... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

anyone playing this? my brother-in-law (MMORG freak that he is) sent me a 30 day free trial..so far i'm pretty impressed graphics are beautiful, game play seems pretty deep and the economic model is player driven (including research and manufacturing) and very complex for a video game...the combat and flight system is a little disapointing, but this is clearly the successor to Elite, the game i was totally addicted to as a young kid... not so sure i'd pay for a subscription as i dont spend as much time playing games as i once did, but its been a pretty fun week goofing off and learning the interface....i've even borrowed a couple of their GUI idea's for a few projects. (of course there are a number of GUI issues i cant believe they let slide but, thats mostly me being picky about real world radar functionality...) so any other skydivers on? if you are and happen to see ships with dropzone names that would be me..... sadly i must report that 'Perris' had a freak accident with the cops involving a stray missle and a stargate the good news is the insurance pay out paid nearly twice the ships value, so Perris II was quickly commisioned ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i dont have a problem with the act of hunting, nor am i trying to ban it. i have a problem in the mass production method in which it is performed, primarily for entertainment... when its done in a manner that does not rely on technology, pre established game routes, baited fields, and waiting for the victim to walk by (often while consuming large amounts of alcohol) as i said, you might as well hunt for stray dogs in large cities for all the skill and effort required ( and you'd be providing a benefit to the environment, after all strays are a public nuisance too) use a weapon that is powered by your own strength, stalk and close with your prey to look it in the eyes, put yourself at some level of risk in a manner that allows the animal some chance of escape/revenge, and i believe you should be allowed to hunt any animal on the planet... we certainly wouldn’t be as far down the road to extinction with so many species if so many hunters didnt have the 'little thought, less effort required, point and shoot' method of killing, and we'd probably have a few less humans in the world as well..... all in all good things… ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
