band aid makes an 'advanced healing' second skin bandage that replaces a scab before it forms.. its great for deep gashes when you cant stitch and doubles as a moleskin replacement as well... in fact it works so much better i cant see any reason to buy moleskin at all anymore.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

dont ever get into a cessna then... if you cant do a gear check in the porter you need to work on your flexibility.. I've done 50ish jumps from a porter and checked my own gear as well as checked others before every exit.. if you need more help talk to one of your instructors.. gear checks in a porter shouldnt be a problem. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -
So in order to truly be an agnostic, I would have to read up on EVERY single religion out there. Now THAT would be foolish. education is never foolish or wasted. to be agnostic one believes humanity does not have enough information to KNOW if there is a god or not. (or more accurately to know the nature of god). If you havent looked at the information available you are making a decision from a position of ignorance. i have no issues with any belief, religion, atheist or agnostic... but to make such a decision without any research is foolish... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

pretty much... it is an unconscious decision by those who do not know/understand themselves very well.. for those who have taken the time to examine themselves, their desires, and pattern of behavior, it is a conscious choice. One of the prime factors that separates Humans from animals. like most things in life, you get the energy out of it that you put into it in the first place.. it may only take an instant to decide, but once you've made that decision(conscious or not) few people ever go back and reevaluate... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Just playin on the words. I'm sure there is more to it than what I was talkin about. As far as reading up on it.....I have no interest in being enlightened in something that I could not possibly believe in. Just MY agnostic beliefs. no interest in removing ignorance? sad really... you've already made up your mind with little to no information... its not exactly an 'agnostic' belief, as you havent even LOOKED at all the information available yet, so how could you possiblly know what there is to make a decision about?? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

I spoke to the NorCal distributor for New Belgium Brewery. hmmm someone (i think i was TallGuy but my vision was blurry at the time) said during the holiday boogie that New Belgium had sold out to one of the majors and that accounted for the change in the taste (more chocolate flavor) of Fat Tire... hmm off the top of my head i thought it had something to do with where the advisors to the monarch (not sure which, my guess would be english or french) sat in relation to the throne... something about the advisor for the nobles (the status quo) being on the right and the 'representative' of the people (in the form of the church) being on the left? ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

you are creating your own rather strict definition of 'cult', but most religions do exactly as you describe to a greater or lesser extent.. the more extreme version you are using doesnt tend to thrive to terribly long as it eventually runs afowl of basic human nature but realistically, no. We shouldnt do anything to 'protect people from their own stupidity' even when they involve their children in what could be veiwed as 'fringe religions' IMO forcing any minor to attend any religious institution where they undergo indocrination and the 'peer' presure to conform to a belief is a form of psychological abuse. But as long as that decision is made by the parents, the state shouldnt be involved in any way, shape or form, no matter what the religion or how far its beliefs differ from 'mainstream religions' ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

hmm well i just finshed scanning the 'trilogy' and while it is possible i could have missed it, i dont really think it is there... now there is a further possibility that it is in one of the Dirk Gently books, but i cant check those atm as i've lent them out at some point... actually if it is an Adam's quote i'd expect it to be there vs the Guide as Gently is much more the type of character to DO something productive, while the majority of the Guide's characters would simply panic... was a good excuse to read DA again... have to get the Gently books back as well ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i love my Lowas i've put more than a few miles on the pair i have and with new inserts they feel like new again.... i was particularly impressed when i completely submerged them in the Tietion river and in less than a half hour my feet felt dry again... without ever taking them off... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
