umm just to clarify, i hope you mean push the PC into the pouch securely... pushing the hacky into the pouch is a good way to ensure you have trouble finding your handle when you need it and perhaps contributing to an otherwise unnecessary reserve ride. (try twice then go to silver) i have a friend who's first reserve ride was from pushing the hack in while the rig was packed for travelling... a quick handle check could have prevented an excessively expensive jump.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

if its a store built or brand name laptop and the wireless card is embedded, i'd suggest he start with the manufacturer.. if the wireless card is an add on he can try the card's manufacturer, or attempt to go to the properties for the wireless connection and disable "use windows to manage my wireless connection" (iirc.... guessing here as i'm not near a machine like that at the moment) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

nah i know at least one container manufacturer who was going to throw a fit if he had to make just one more dark blue and black rig.... and of course his latest 'show piece' is bright red too...

you really need to do some research into the terms you throw around so liberally, as your use of them is severely flawed... Morals and Ethics have nothing to do with your personal perception of certain words or where and how they are used.. and FYI F bombs and such are rather common around here. (one of the largest engineering/contracting corporations in the US) in fact my boss let one fly less than an hour ago... its a means of expression, nothing more and like all words only has the power you give/attribute to it.. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

all the rain dances i know bring rain, not stop it, so they arent very popular with skydivers... but then you could always "Come to the Sun" (tm) ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

i'm betting his he has two competing programs (XP default and whatever wireless adaptor prog he has) competing for control of the wireless card... disable one or the other and he should be fine.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

definitely missing something.... its not the kids we mind at all.(I even spent a while teaching a little one how to fold a pilot chute properly recently) kids (other peoples) are great, bring them out let them get some sun (but keep them off the landing area and out of my lines...particularly when they have icecream...).... we 'object' to the parents who expect us to curb our language and behavior because they brought their kids into our playground..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

since there are very few instances where hunting is a matter of survival..all technological advances should be prohibited... if you want to play with your new high tech, high powered toys/scope/rifle etc... go to the range, set up equally advanced mechanical targets for you to shoot... given that...ive always been an advocate that you should be able to hunt ANY animal (even endangered species) so long as you do it with a spear... and wear video too... because i'm definately cheering for the bear/tiger etc... and those those who succeed deserve the rug...... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

nope. there are lots of rather large signs as you enter "spectators enter at your own risk" this applies to everything physical, emotional, and moral risks as well... if you dont accept that risk go somewhere else.... if you sit next to the landing area (and most spectators do) you are going to hear many things you might find objectionable anyway... but IME from talking to many of our spectators, the obvious energy we exhibit as we're walking off is one of the primary factors that motivates them to try it fo themselves.... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

perhaps, but it looks absolutely TERRIBLE.... and hooters wings arent that great either... if they had 'normal' wait staff that resturant would go under in days.. its amazing how gullable the general male populace is..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

depending on the spot i use it to make sure i'm going to cross the runway to low, but the analog alti's arent much use otherwise under canopy.. i borrowed a neptune for a while while doing a CC and its a hell of a training tool, as well as one more 'sanity check' when setting up for swoops..but as i was taught, learn to use your eyes first, judge your altitude for your approach and THEN check the neptune to verify what your eyes are telling you... its a very good feedback method for learning the parameters of your canopy as well...nearly every pro swooper i know swears by its accuracy... but like any other device can fail and shouldnt be totally relied own.. still cant wait to get one of my own... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

Teens Leaping For Thrills In 'Garage Jumping' Trend
Zenister replied to wildblue's topic in The Bonfire
This kind of shit pisses me off more than anything. How about taking responsibility for the fact that your kid is a fucking dumbass, who should be dead because he's so stupid? I swear, I will NOT be like this when I have children. Ditto here chick! What I don't get is that there's only like a 2 foot gap between the buildings. How the hell does someone manage to not make it? because he's a darwin candidate obviously...bad jumpin genes, good thing his family doesnt have to clear that 2 foot gap to get to the waterhole..... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. -

a DZ is a place where adults come to play.. bring your kids if you wish, but be aware they are very likely to see and hear some thing you'd rather they not... Too fucking bad please, say something to me about how i express myself verbally (or even read the back of a few shirts around the DZ) and i'm going to laugh at you, and then apologize to your kids for the fact that YOU exposed them to our enviroment... having your kids out there does nothing to contribute to the skydiving experience, and very little to contribute financially to the DZ at all... haha found my previous post on the same topic...http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=565563#565563 some DZ's have a very family environment (of course you have to think about the activity that created that as well) and that can be a nice thing, but once the beer light is on they usually vanish.... but you should remember the dropzone doesnt exist for your kids (they cant jump at most) so their considerations are secondary.. as i'll take my business elsewhere if a DZ attempted to impose such morality to our activity.. and most skydivers i know would as well this isnt disneyland....so dont expect any apologies, you certainly wont get one from me...because we are enjoying ourselves, and YOU brought your kids to our playground... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

nope.. for the most part (except demos and offsite training where they like us to be reasonably well dressed) we are "people under the stairs". no one sees us unless they come into our lab, but since its cold we're usually in jeans and jackets over whatever else we are wearing..(Surf's up biotch. on occasion even)... however even in the feild most of my section looks more like a rock band than an engineering group.. its nice to be in a position where performance and function weighs more than preconceptions and form in terms of professionalism. ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.

fad? you should look up the GGLF...its the only 'subversive organization' i actually had to list on my clearance... but this cell's activities are most impressive... ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed.
