  1. Wow! At the moment of reserve PC emerging, the speed does NOT look to be more than 35 meters per second (Cypres fire speed). Same here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VArZMCsnSxw
  2. I just wanted to say that I have received nothing but the BEST customer support from Kelly and Tony at Velocity Sports Equipment. Even though I did not buy my Infinity from them (I own a used rig and they were aware of this fact), each time I PM'd or called to order spare parts or discuss some container features, they the spent as much time as needed to make sure I was fully satisfied with the matter. The spare parts were always promptly made and shipped, and all questions were answered in a very prompt, detailed, and professional manner. This all applies even to some five-dollar orders I placed
  3. Does a non-collapsible PC generates harder openings? The snatch force is probably higher, since it reaches the line stretch full inflated and then suddenly stops. It also yanks on the bag, taking it of the canopy, still pulling on the canopy and disturbing (?) the pack job and maybe movng the slider down. Is there any truth to that?
  4. I have one. I don't route the googles in the channel, just over my hair. Helmet is inexpensive and provides some protection. Price is the biggest incentive to get one.
  5. I thought the same! Look at the attached picture - the main canopy is still attached, and the reserve PC deployed quite far.
  6. Video of Pulse openings here: http://www.performancedesigns.com/pdzone/videos_pulse.asp
  7. Add this (Scott Plamer): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrlrylPAi6k
  8. What Mirage does right now is a Spacerfoam on top of foam backap. Double the comfort!
  9. So, does that mean that the SNATCH FORCE is higher with the zero porosity pilotchute, or the INFLATION is faster?
  10. OK, I found the PIA sheets - see attachments. Same measuring method was used (PIA). So, for examle, by this method, a PD-Reserve 176 is actually 189 square feet. And Micro Raven 150 is 150 square feet. That's what I meant. When using a common denominator (=same measuring method), PD reserves have more square footage than they advertise. Some competitors have the SAME area as advertised. So, is Spectre 190 also bigger than 190 square feet? That was my original question.
  11. I think it was agreed here that PD reserves are in reality bigger than their advertised square footage. For instance, a PDR 176 will be approximately 190 square when measured. Does the same applies to PD main canopies?
  12. So, what? No new toys??? Two, four, and six years ago thread about PIA had tens of posts...
  13. Does anyone have a bulletin in PDF format???
  14. Which, for a vast majority of jumpers, will be NEVER (money, time, sending hassle, etc). You know what I am talking about - when you don't have to do something, you usually don't do it...
  15. What lines? Spectra or Dacron? What material is the canopy?
  16. Strange, that the last issue does not mention anything about being the last one...
  17. This is exactluy what I did. I have Type 8 risers _and_ Dacron lines, so there is a lot of bulk!
  18. It used to be 15,000 but recently it was only 7,000....
