  1. Not if yoy read this post: http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=3325876#3325876
  2. I think they ONLY fit with the narrow (i.e. Type 17) risers. True?
  3. Is there any problem with using reserve slinks (which are made of Spectra) along with Dacron lined canopy? I am 99% sure it is not a problem, but was wondering about it, since there would be friction between two different types of material (Spectra vs. Dacron), as opposed to Spectra vs. Spectra (on Spectra lined canopies).
  4. When relining the canopy, is the removed lineset destroyed in the process (i.e. cut, made unusable, etc.)? Or can you take it and install it on a different canopy (providing it still has some life left, of course)?
  5. The slack starts from the TOP part of the metal handle, not the bottom part (i.e. there is plenty of slack = everything that you see is in this particular photo IS the slack).
  6. Looks like a standard size handle to me.
  7. Well, that may be true for whatever country you are in, but in my country there is a column in the logbook for 'Szybkosc samolotu' ('Aircraft speed').
  8. But I bet you have Type 17 risers (narrow). I believe that PD Hats are only for those type of risers. True? Wide Type 8 risers (which I have) should be wide enough to stop the descending slider by themselves. Correct? Or are there PD Hats for Type 8 risers, too?
  9. Was it in Florida or other place with high humidity? I know it affects the pack volume, too (kind of like forming a ball from dry, and then wet paper) - better results when wet/humid.
  10. Yeah, I actually plan to put on the Reserve Slinks (which are longer) to make room, since I will have a combination of thicker Dacron lines and wider webbing (Type 8 risers).
  11. Great responses, thanks! Does anyone here packed Dacron lined Spectre 190 into Infinity I-45?
  12. There is a chance to have a knot from your hackey with the bridle over the PC. You may search for those pictures. Attached. With PVC attached in TWO places (i.e. on PVC's ends), there simply is no space for the knot. The PVC lies flat on the PC.
  13. Currently, I jump Spectre 190 with 825 lbs Microline - it fits fine with a very shorty closing loop. Now, I want to reline it with Dacron. Does anyone have expreinence with Dacron lined Spectre 190 in Infinity I-45? How is the fit??? Thanks in advance!
  14. Wow! Did I see it right?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqR2Uu9u-o4
  15. Lines - maybe. But there is a video somewhere where a AFF student deployes a thro out PC in a perfectly stable position and the bridle catches on his foot.
  16. Bingo (the shoelace). I think the cutaway is only 'bent' by the freefall wind. The fatality I racall was that the shoelace tangled in the deploying lines and that started a chain that led to a fatality. Since reading this, I always double-tie my shoelaces. No prizes, sorry .
  17. Same condition caused a fatality ('Parachutist' annual fatality report a few years ago). Can you see what it is? Photo attached.
  18. Attached are the pictures of Vector 3 belly band.
  19. Need the aircraft droping speed to fill my logbook for the jumps I made in Hawaii
