  1. Matt and Blevins, Where have you two been for the past year or two? Didn't you notice any number or posts by Hominid a few weeks ago about the weather? And he included a discussion about the winds aloft using information from people who were there and measured the actual weather parameters. The mathematics of the jump are simple. It is just what the clock read and the VOR and DME receivers read at the time of the jump that you need to come up with. Surely a couple of "queens" such as yourselves can come up with such simple information. At least give it a try.
  2. Does this mean that you are going to start the movie with a screen shot giving one of your famous quotations such as: "Maybe KC was D.B. Cooper. Maybe he wasn't. Who the hell knows?"
  3. Blevins, I assume that you are going to insist on playing yourself in your upcoming movie. In fact, there is probably no one else up to that task. My suggestion is that you get Marla to play your love interest. After all, you have been keeping close tabs on her since she tried to elbow her way into the Cooper matter at you expense. So you already know her talents. Birds of a feather fly together. Shakespeare?
  4. This is Robert99 replying. . . Based on my recent personal observations, water still runs downhill. And this specifically includes the Columbia River downstream of Bonneville Dam. It is good to have another serious researcher on this thread to counter the likes of Knoss, Blevins, etc.. Welcome. But the intesity of the flow might have changed. Plus I recall reading somewhere that the area that the bills were found was dredge by the USACE prior to their discovery. So the question remains how long would the bills take to travel down stream? There are just too many variables to consider. What we need is a single source that consolodates all these theories and facts. Like a cooper encyclopedia. Something like what the Jack the Ripper investigators have. Or what Robert Graysmith tried to do with Zodiac. . . Most of the recent books I have read have been interesting, but they all seem to push one theoriy or another. Recently read skyjack, and while I found the description of the actually highjacking interesting, I found it's organization to be disjointed and the ending to be somewhat deflating. . .Plus it was intriguing and saddening to find out about how Brian Ingram's family was affected by all this. the next book I plan to read is into the blast. Right after i read this book about the Bell Witch. still would prefer a cooper encyclopedia. One that is organized by the event, the suspects, and the facts. You are very observant to note the connection with the Jack the Ripper and Zodiac cases. Like the Cooper hijacking, those two cases have not been solved either. None of the books on the Cooper hijacking are worth buying. And that specifically includes the Blevins book which is now in either its third or fourth edition. Blevins has stated that he is working on a movie manuscript so you might want to wait for the movie. If you are interested in facts on the Cooper hijacking, you might check out Sluggo's web page. Since Sluggo likes to stick to facts, he seldom posts on this thread anymore. Just Google "Sluggo" and you should end up on his web page. Otherwise, go to "http://n467us.com" and look around.

  6. Agreed, sunshine and nylon don't mix well. My understanding is that the Amboy chute was unearthed by a grader that was doing some road work. The grader operator reportedly pulled the chute out of the ground rather than dug it out. So who knows, maybe the harness and pack are two feet from where the canopy was found. But there are numerous possible explanations for how it got there, and buried, in the first place. See Jo Weber's post above.
  7. Blevins, you have apparently swallowed your own story on the Amboy chute. According to my calculations, the chute is now 66 years old. Yet you are asserting that it is basically in pristine condition except for some dirt and mud. Exactly one hundred years ago this next weekend, there was a ship that hit an iceberg in the Atlantic and sank which resulted in a lot of publicity. Yet the remains of that ship are disappearing so rapidly that they will certainly not be around in 2112. Yet you feel that a parachute is going to survive in the brush, buried or not, for 40+ years. The parachute that Cooper used was probably closer to the 66 years than just 40 years. If the Amboy chute is the one used by Cooper, then it was almost 27 years old in 1971. That is a really old parachute for that day and age. If the canopy had been used in skydiving, it probably would have been very near the end of its useful life which was approximately 100 jumps. But even if the canopy found was not the one used by Lt. Walling, there is nothing whatsoever to even suggest that it is the one that Cooper used. There were millions of parachutes produced in the United States during World War II. The military typically replaced parachutes after about 10 years of service even if they were never used. Some canopies, for instance, were sold new as surplus without ever being packed into a parachute while in the military. In fact, you could probably buy new parachute canopies at your local Army/Navy store as late as the mid-1970s. Your thesis is that if the Amboy parachute was not the one used by Lt. Walling, then it must be the parachute that Cooper used. That is not a valid assumption.
  8. THAT is why I politely asked you to do what I stumble through. Your big ego refused to consider any other possibility. YOU were absolutely RIGHT! Remember?? The difference is that I KNOW where it should be, you are able to figure out HOW it got there. You have a mind block. Move the reported flight path 20 miles west and watch it coincide with the oil pipeline clear cut. Watch the flight path circle the Portland population. Watch the jump spot land just north of Tena's Bar. Watch the TRUTH light up in front of your face!! Now YOU tell me about the winds and the seat of the pants fly-by-reckoning "fake crabbing" the pilot was reporting to the navigator. I suggest that pilot had his hands full with calculations from umteen sources to get to his destination without anybody detecting it. I suggest he was a master at deception, and he deceived you, too. Please look at it again, now that you know what really happened. Knoss, my ego considered all the possibilities. And navigation was not a problem since they were basically just tracking down V-23. Also, I hate to be the one that has to tell you this, but the airliner navigation was being done by the people flying the aircraft. The airliner did not have a separate navigator. One thing can be said with absolute certainty, you don't have a mind block. You obviously have mental and emotional problems, but you can fabricate impossible scenarios in a flash.
  9. Knoss, so you and Blevins are weather experts and claim that the winds were from the southeast? If either of you knew how to read aviation weather reports, you would know that the winds were from the southwest in the Portland/Vancouver area on the evening of Cooper's hijacking. Keep up the good work. Not according to the pilot of the airliner behind 305. Check Cook. What was the pilot's claim for 305???? I KNOW you are missing the facts because the pilots said so. Knoss, what airliner are you talking about? If you are referring to Captain Bohan's aircraft, he was in all probability on V-23E and not V-23. V-23E is a different airway is case you didn't get the message. The pilots said that I am "missing the facts"? I never met those pilots.
  10. Knoss, so you and Blevins are weather experts and claim that the winds were from the southeast? If either of you knew how to read aviation weather reports, you would know that the winds were from the southwest in the Portland/Vancouver area on the evening of Cooper's hijacking. Keep up the good work.
  11. Knoss, do you remember what country (NOT county) you were inducted in? It obviously wasn't the United States. Hennepin County, (Minneapolis, MN.) And yes, last time I had to check, it was in the United States of America, the country where everybody is supposed to have rights. Cute. Can't even check out wind directions correctly. Do it again, Sam. Knoss, so you were inducted on a Saturday morning in 1968? In case you haven't heard, it is highly unlikely that anyone in 1968 was inducted on any day except Monday through Friday. The draft board and most of the federal government works on a five day week. Your ignorance of how draft boards work matches your ignorance of everything else you have been claiming on this thread.
  12. Knoss, do you remember what country (NOT county) you were inducted in? It obviously wasn't the United States.
  13. No. The point of Janet is not that she saw a jumper, but that she saw the plane. Cook's witnesses saw it also. The fact that it was seen on THAT course verifies TOG's statement to Ralph and to me that Janet is correct, or vice-versa. It is prima faca to a misrepresented flight path and a path to the actual jump site which is dead on to Tena's Bar. It is not dismissed. It is key evidence that I will not sweep under the rug. If you guys won't do it, I'll hire it done myself. The facts are there and easily reproduced. Take your choice. someone claiming they saw flares and stairs and people at 10,000 can not be trusted to verify a flight path! not buying it! Does anyone know if Portland was looking out at the tower trying to see the plane? seems they would of seen the sky "lit up" There was an overcast at 5000 feet in the Portland/Vancouver area and additional heavy cloud layers below that. No one on the ground in the Portland/Vancouver area could see the airliner when it passed over. And the flight crew has been quoted as saying they could not see the lights of Portland/Vancouver when they flew overhead.
  14. REPEAT I acknowledged that, 377. Witnesses have a tendency to enhance their testimony sometimes, I suspect ol' Janet did that with her jumper. Look it up. When can we do the Brigham Young Medallion thingy?? Huh? HUH? Or do I have to hire a navigator to redo Robert99's re-plotting of 305 using wind data from the other airliner?????? Wanna know where it puts 305???? Read Cook. 35 miles west of the FBI search area, right where TOG said he flew!!! Right where Janet claims to have seen the plane, right where Mac said it was. Then there are Cook's witness of the flight over the west of Portland. Come on, guys, this is too simple. and you claim to want to throw it out because she bragged about seeing Duane's Wienner? The wind direction that Captain Bohan claimed for that night was within a couple of degrees of being from the straight south (true direction or grid line direction). Basically, that would not blow him anywhere except maybe straight north. And you still don't know what you are talking about. Maybe you should check with that mental hospital you mentioned earlier today. Perhaps they could give you your own room.
  15. Knoss, your reply supports my conclusions about your mental and emotional health. I have done an indepth analysis of the flight path and dynamics of NWA 305. It convinces me that you are still nuts.
  16. Knoss, the quote from Matt is correct. Don't try to claim that I support such baloney as you have repeatedly claimed about "fake crab angles". You obviously have mental and emotional problems. In my humble opinion, this thread will be greatly improved by your departure. Don't let the door hit you in the butt on your way out.
  17. Night flares are very effective at lighting up aircraft in the sky. Remember the flares over Bagdad at night on TV? Knoss, shooting flares through a helicopter's rotor can have very bad side effects such as losing a rotor blade.
  18. You need to read my response to your silly claims again. That response is NOT "accurate and consistent with what I (Knoss) said" as you claim. You don't have the slightest idea of what you are talking about! I read consistency. I repeated what McCoy reported. I see nothing at odds, just different words. I am not a pilot, just a reporter of fact. Knoss, forget about returning to the reservation. You are headed back to the nut house. But would you tell us how you got out of the straight jacket and padded cell in the first place? Do you still shoot acid? Are your delusions a 24 hour a day matter or is it just 23 hours a day?
  19. You need to read my response to your silly claims again. That response is NOT "accurate and consistent with what I (Knoss) said" as you claim. You don't have the slightest idea of what you are talking about!
  20. Ralph H. flew in either a Army National Guard or Army Reserve UH-1 helicopter. He did not see the airliner at any point. In 1971, no USA operational military helicopter could maintain 175 knots in level flight. There are some technical factors involved that Knoss obviously has never heard of. The rest of the claims made by Knoss are also BS.
  21. Just finish the glass in the the picture and get a good nights sleep. You'll feel better tonight and maybe tomorrow as well.
  22. Should we all take an oath to never respond to a post by Knoss?
  23. Quade and All, This thread needs a resolution to the problem of Bob Knoss. Knoss does nothing but put out BS and then more BS on top of that. He knows nothing about the Cooper hijacking or, apparently, anything else either. Knoss is a total drag on this thread and that appears to be his whole purpose for being here. How do we get his ass off the thread?
