Not sure how a go-pro would stick to your MICH/ACH (considering as that color is from the paint they use and can/will flake off) Mounting on top of the helmet (to be out of the way of your NVG's may prove to be a bigger pain in the ass than its worth. I can barely sit in a HMMWV with my NVG's folded up, and a Go-Pro is alot higher profile on top of a helmet. (MRAPs aren't so bad, but watch out getting in and out of it!) Don't go drillin holes in it either, thats a good way to screw it up!(not to mention you will have to explain why you screwed up a perfectly good helmet and maybe even pay for it) I have a Surefire helmet lamp that mounts on the side of my helmet, you could probably use something like that, and modify it to hold a pen type camera... but the lamp alone is > $125 last I checked. Very serious injury. I pretty much dont care if YOU hurt YOURSELF, You're a grown adult... but with a HP canopy/WL you could very easily make a mistake that could kill/injure someone else... You dont posess the muscle memory reactions that could save yours and someone elses life. Call UPT and ask them about the harness re-sizing, I dont know how much leeway you get without just having to build a new harness. ANY 150 is going to be dangerous to start on, you weigh 180 slick, so Im figuring about 20-30lbs for gear, puts you right at a 210 for a 1:1 wingloading. You might be ok with a 190, but check with your DZ's instructors and see what they recommend! Stilettos are dangerous and not to be used by novice jumpers. They are a fully elliptical canopy, respond very quickly and are not very forgiving to a mistake from a newbie. Asymetrical flare could drive you into the ground! Get something thats safe for you now, not what will be safe later. Theres no rush, the sky isn't going anywhere. Actually, if you're not trying to go crazy with options, you might be able to keep it under 2 grand. The base price is $1800 IIRC. Take a look at Dolphin and Wings, they're pretty inexpensive. Wings (I believe) has better bridal protection for freeflying it looks like. Then there is Mirage and UPT, starting around the $1800 mark, plus options. Turn around on the Mirage is faster of the two. They dont offer a MARD for the Mirage yet, but you might not be looking for that? Do you already have canopies?
