Ah! Mooorgan Fairchild... Who I slept with! Chuck -
Someones has to do the jobs that the general citizens WONT do. With a nearly 10% unemployment rate, it's safe to assume that the reason quite a few don't want these kinds of job is because it's easier to kick back on unemplyment compensation than it is to work. It's also an incorrect assumption that illegal's only take jobs American don't want. Exactly! Those folks are no different... why settle for some menial job when you can get the higher paying jobs. I like this idea. Saves on jail costs and transportation costs and allows the agents to have some spook fun. Everybody wins! Reminds me of a story told to me by a good friend of mine and retired Border Patrol Agent. He and his partner were working the Rio Grande one night, in the Dona, Texas area. They were working the area of a foot bridge, when they heard voices coming across the river. My friend's partner ducked under the foot bridge and when the first illegal got close, he reached-up, grabbing the illegal's ankle, yelling; "CHUPA CABRA!" All five illegals turned and ran back to Mexico! Chuck

Did jets win the Battle of England ?? Why change something which ain't broken You're right. It wasn't jets, it was the P-51 Mustang that won the war. Wash your mouth out lad. Do neither you nor JM realize the P-51 was developed for the Brits, and not the 'Merkuns? Nope, never knew that .... That's why I love this site.. You can take the piss out of folks and learn new stuff... very humbling

Thank you, Sparky. That was not the first time that DPRE was wrong! I did find out that that title 'DPRE' about makes them bullet-proof. Chuck
-
Yup! After my practical, I called the rigger who taught me and told him what had happened. He assured me, I was correct in what I did and laughed. Chuck
-
During the course of my practical, to become a Senior Rigger, I was handed a harness-container, with a round parachute attached to the reserve risers. There was no label what so ever on the parachute and an illegible label on the harness-container. I refused to pack it due to the fact I didn't know 'exactly' what I was packing. The DPRE tried to pressure me into packing it and I told him that as long as I don't know what I have, Which instructions would I use? He even offered to help me and I stood my ground. From all I read, prior to my practical, I was right and the DPRE finally, agreed with me. Chuck

An important principle taken from Eisner v. Macomber is that the word "income" in the Sixteenth Amendment is generally given its ordinary plain English meaning, and wealth and property that is not income may not be taxed as income by the Federal Government. And as has been pointed out to you, tax code specifies what income they count. So are you the only one here who doesn't know what income means? Now get back under your bridge. For some reason, this 'jmbrown' sounds real familiar but 'jmbrown' is a different monicker. Hmmmm... Chuck

Take a win any way you can. The Wings gave the Sharks that one. Sloppy play, bad passes, give-aways and stupid penalties not to mention, some bad calls by the officials. Usually, it would be the Wings with 46-shots on goal. I wouldn't get to worked-up, this was only the first game of the series. I know you Sharks fans would have loved to have seen Pavelski plow over Howard and put him out of the game. That seems to be the attitude on the 'Left coast'. Howard did a helluva job in net and to call him a pussy is a cheap shot. Any goalie, worth his salt would've done what he did. Poor little Pavelski was the jerk! Chuck
-
Pavelski needs to show a little respect to a goalie. Howard just pointed that out. I'm sure, Niemi would've done the same thing in that situation. A 'snow shower' on a goalie is just a sign of dis-respect. Good for Howard for standing-up for himself. Chuck

Wings aren't looking too bad... after such a long rest period! Lidstrom lights the lamp! Good game so far. I just hope they can keep the lead for two more periods. Chuck
-
I'm your huckleberry.........same as last year ? This has been the best first round I can remember. Seems like the hitting has been more intense than in years past....not many cheap shots, just a lot of good hard play. Don Last year, the Wings faced the Sharks, tired and beat-up. This year, they're facing the Sharks well rested and about 99% healed-up. I don't know how good that is. Every time the Wings get a long rest period, they slog out on the ice and play like it's the first time any of them even saw ice. About like the way they start each season. I'm just hoping, they can hit the ice like their tails are on fire and they play the way they are capable of and give a full 60-minutes. GO WINGS! Chuck

I have been searching for the goal Hull scored against the Wings that he will not talk about that won the Stars that series. It happened about the 3rd. over-time. The re-play showed it was not a goal and the ref called it a goal. I'm trying to find the year and series round. No luck yet. Hull did have a 'questionable' goal against Buffalo in 1999. Chuck
-
As for the Habs, I really believe, they can pull it out and win the series. It's been too long! Chuck Too long since what? They made to the 3rd round last year! Oh and I am pretty sure that Hull goal was vs. the Sabres in 1999, hell of a game! I was referring to the Habs winning The Cup. Also, that 'questionable goal was Dallas v Detroit in the 4th. round. Ya' beat me to it! Persistance, does pay off! Chuck Looks like the Canucks have no choice but to start Luongo. I haven't heard but it sure looked like Schneider has a serious leg injury. After losing the start and then coming in to lose the game I wonder about his confidence. I've always felt Luongo was pver-rated and these playoffs haven't shown me anything to make me change my mind. Should be good one! Seems like, Luongo is good in short bursts but not the long-haul. The Blackhawks seem to have more for the long-haul. Tonight, Chicago didn't seem cohesive. Sloppy passes and give-aways but they pulled-out a win. They just might have the Canucks on their heels. Chuck

Good for the Preds. That's probably who the Wings will face. I hope, the Wings can do better against them than they did in the regular season. Geeze... another over-time game. Chicago is headed that way. I'd really like to see Chicago put Vancouver away. We'll see!
-
Well... Crap! They have one last shot at it! Chuck
-
Tied-up... goin' to over-time. I just want to see the Sabres knock those bums off!!! Chuck
-
I had to miss the game but I appreciate you telling of it. I hope there's a game-7, too and of course... the Habs come-out the winner of the series! Chuck
-
That is the best response I've heard in regard to that goal. Thank you! This past season, I have seen more interpretations of the 'crease rule'... especially against Holmstrom! Chuck
-
That goal by Boston, last night, reminds me of the 'infamous' Brett Hull goal that beat the Red Wings in the play-offs a few years ago in extra over-time. To this day, Hull refuses to discuss it. He knew it, the refs knew it was a bad 'goal'. I think, the refs just wanted to end the game and go home. Too bad there was no 'review' back then. Chuck

I caught the end of the game plus the two OT periods. Definitely a highly contested affair. Both teams had their chances to win the game in the first OT, but lady luck wanted to see the game go into the 2nd OT period. I can't believe some of the things I am reading about the game (not here on this site). There are definitely some spoiled partisan fans out there. I doubt they are Leaf fans (Leaf fans are used to losing LOL) but some people are saying Horton's goal was a cheap goal, etc, etc, etc. Partisan morons. It was a shot from the point, a rebound resulted and a Boston player was in the right place at the right time to put away the rebound. That's hockey. Nothing cheap about that goal. Keep your stick on the ice and go to the net. That's what they have been telling kids for eons. BTW ... it ain't over until it's over. Go Habs Go. That comes with the territory... partisan-ism... conspiracy theories and so-on. What really bothers me is, with all the video and viewers able to replay games on their t.v.'s, they will relate what happened completely opposite to what really happened. I didn't watch the game but from what you say, it was a fair and square goal. That's hockey. As for the Habs, I really believe, they can pull it out and win the series. It's been too long! This is just a tough play-offs, throughout the League. It's all the parity brought about by Gary Bettman. I'm of the opinion, the salary cap is really messing things up throughout the League. I really do wish, Bettman would be replaced. I can't stand that little weasel with the Napoleonic complex. Chuck

Bummer! Noone can say that the Canadiens aren't trying. Then too, they've always had a lot of try. I'd reallylike to see L.A knock-off San Jose in the series! Chuck
