Huh … I have jumped Z1 wide open too … was watching those chicks exiting on raft dive and forgot to close the visor It catches the air pretty well … weird feeling.
-
Thanks! They should really try to improve the design
-
Thanks, The problem is that sometimes I get plenty of fog on my visor before opening. Keeping the visor open until the very last moment in the plane helps, but does not completely solve the problem. I hope the holes will help. There was a big discussion about all kinds of liquids. As far as I understood, lots of people were unhappy with them.

What is the best way to avoid fogging of Z1 visor when jump in cold weather? I know it has been already discussed somewhere but cannot find the post.

That was a line from Cutaway movie. The next scene after the conversation was a bandit antenna BASE jump

Mike Zang did 500 hop'n'pops in less than 24 hours at SD Texas 2 years ago. http://www.cnn.com/2001/US/05/20/sky.diving.record/

Blue skies for astronauts forever.

Skydive Texas was doing $99 weekend boogie all last summer. It was a great deal to log 10-15 jumps from 13.5K feet for $99.
-
Just be patient and you'll get it. P.S. When you get it remember that you rig is a male so it is OK to keep it in your bed

Look at my favorit vid: ftp://ftp.skydivingmovies.com/public/RW/ TVMajikRussiaTraining I can watch it 100 times and never get bored
-
What kind of main canopy you're gonna get?
-
Cool. Hopefully by that time I will get more coaching from Rick and Mariann and finally learn how to get stable in the air
-
I hear ya there. Hell, I've got 2 rigs now, but no $$$ for altitude. Winter bills suck up here, and not in the nicest way either. Why don't you sell one rig ... price for one rig is at least 100 lift up's
-
Congrats! Sounds like we are about to have a big party at SD Dallas to celebrate your new rig and skydiving anniversary Let me know if you need a partner for 2-way drill dives after you graduate
-
Just to let you folks know. Recent analysis of human genome reveals that skydivers DNA is way closer to birds that regular human’s DNA Cheers
-
I'm on my way to SD Dallas to celebrate

Will you be kind enough and post their URL as well

One thing I have learned when I started to jump with other people is to pack as soon as you get down. Don’t smoke, talk or just relax after jump – PACK!. The reason for that is to avoid the situation when your buddies are already packed and ready for the next load and you are still trying to put this thing into bag in hurry.
-
..Mad47 That's exactly what we were talking about earlier Yup. Thanks again for the advices!
-
Yeah, I remember first jump of my own pack jub as much as I remember my first jump Well ... it was less than a Year ago It is very surprising though that on many DZ’s people do not learn how to pack before they get up to 100 jumps. I started to jump at Skydive Texas where all new jumpers learn how to pack and jump their pack jobs right after they graduate AFF.

I am not that experienced to give advices here but I have heard from many experienced people that it is a very bad idea to completely rely on pro-track. One good trick that I learned on this forum recently is to set pull altitude on your pro-track several hundred feet lower then planned (but now very low). This will let you know if you loose altitude awareness and “wait for beeper to go off”. I had to fight with this habit after I got my pro-track and still occasionally catch myself “waiting for beeper” and not looking at altimeter while tracking after break-off. I used to think that it is impossible to loose altitude awareness when you fly on belly with 7 other people before I have heard the story about Norvegian 4-way team …

I was just kidding about shaving but thanks anyway. Man, this forum is amazing. One can learn here almost as much as in the air ...
