  1. What do you mean what went down? The plane did eventually.. i *BELIEVE* it turns out the guages don't work properly on the airplane -- if you notice under the fuel guages there are some "trip numbers" i call them, they show how many pounds each engine has burned since htey were reset -- they reset them after every fill up. I believe they were extremely low but they had enough to make it back to the ground.. i just know SM1 said "this plane is out of gas" right after the pilot showed some concern :)
  2. I thought it was somewhat entertaining.. i didn't know people had lifestyles like that.. loved the dj's "peace" cape he was wearing around.. simply nuts.. of course I had been daydreaming all day how I would spend 200 million if i had won the powerball so the show came at a nice time.
  3. Anyone ? Was taken on a load I was on (and then quickly off) taken at altitude
  4. I just picked up my Bird-Man gearl bag made by aero tech products it has a day pack that zips of which is neat.. turns into a mini-me backpack basically.. the whole rig bag is one big back pack as well.. appears to be very well made, I can fit my rig with a birdman suit attached plus stuff a 2nd (and I think 3rd suit) in the main container.. put my goggles, alti, books, and everything else in the mini-bag and then there is a "magazine pocket" which is the whole section that rests on your back when wearing the large bag. noice. (plus it looks snazzy)
  5. He's stopping by my place tomorrow with some vids.. woo hoo :)
  6. has anyone gotton matter airwear's site to work?? i'm interested in the new wingsuit.. can't get it to load.
  7. Well first of all I learned on a gti, jari put me on one for my first suit - it isn't too much to handle. After flying the gti a good bit i've realized it is a pretty safe suit, it isn't too agressive and it is somewhat forgiving. I feel if you were to buy a suit it should be a gti as with a classic you will be ready to upgrade soon after you get it. If you can put some jumps on a classic demo or something then that would be good, but i wouldn't recommend buying a classic as your first suit. that's just me though.
  8. Here are the pictures.. pretty self explanitory.. i just cut the thread between two sections and stick the glo sticks through the hole.. you can manuver them into each individual cell via the top of the wing. Suit flys stable with the hole left unstitched.. you may want to have some velcro put on to close it for flight. I also tried it with alligator clips and they stayed on. inside arm closer hole
  9. Uh.. there are enough techies coming that someone should be able to bring equipment. I have wireless routers if I were for sure coming i could bring one. C'mon it's a big family with many resources.. the only thing that should have to be paid for is the net access you guys have and hell i pay 40.00 a MONTH for that, what is 7 days going to cost you?
  10. i couldn't find anything by wolf.. you're full of it unless your paper is entitled "A sheep in wolf's corset" i think that is more likley to be clay's though. :)
  11. ha ha.. checkin up on it now are we? :) I still think it is closed.
  12. I'll take a picture of it.. on the gti there is a very small section of stitching between two larger sections (i know my descriptions suck) it is basically a horizontal line of stitching between two vertical lines. i just cut the horizontal line it is just wide enough to get glo sticks in. It doesn't affect the flight too much though blair said he saw them bouncing around .. i don't fly the GTI enough to say it made a huge difference in performance - i know it was a stable flight. I had used some office supplies (i call them aligator clips) to close up the opening -- pyke jumped the suit with those clips on.. when I jumped it i took them off.. can't say it made much of a difference there either. Kevin
  13. I'd recommended a GTI for a first suit.
  14. Well 192.168.0.x is perfectly legal in a WAP environment, as most of these wireless routers default to that subnet. The reason I was asking him not to use 192.168.0.x is because I carry an IP phone with me (which runs on ethernet) so on my laptop I have the wireless connection and the wired connection and use internet connection sharing in windows, unfortunately internet connection sharing wants to setup 192.168.0.x as it's subnet for the wired card.. and if the wireless card is on that subnet already it won't allow it -- you can't change the subnet in ICS but you can on the wireless router :) So it's cool i can pick up my phone plugged into my laptop and get a dialtone, as well as get all the calls that are dialed to my "home" phone number. i know i'm a geek. Kevin
  15. We will all be out there for the xmas boogie if you can wait.. if not come out to orange or raeford :) (or if you are looking for someone closer, rob tonnosen (sp?) jumps out that way and is a BMI) Kevin
  16. What about also setting up some WAPs for those of us who have laptops & wireless cards :) p.s. if you do, please set the subnet to something other than 192.168.0.x -- PM me if you want to know why :) Kevin
  17. btw manbird, you don't need to cut the mesh to get access to the cells -- if you're interested in the glo stick thing i actually went on the inside of the suit to get to the cells. Kevin p.s. blair - oxyclean and 4 washes later you can barely tell ;)
  18. When I worked for AMR if an ambulance had a wreck en-route to a call, they imediately radioed in they were in a wreck and then another ambulance was imedately dispatched to the call. The way we worked in MS we were on rotating posts (as opposed to stations) so there was typically another ambulance that could get to the scene within 5 minutes.
  19. Haha it looks like the word is out, as that quarter is #1 now :)
