  1. Dude, you got to sit there WEARING the suit.. i'm planning on wearing mine to the theatre and taking a pen for autographs :)
  2. Well I work literally less than 2 blocks from the USA Today Headquarters, i've offered to stop by and show her the suit and whatnot. Kevin
  3. I already emailed (and got a response) from the author of that article.. i'm in the process of setting everything straight :-) Kevin

  6. Welcome to the flock! Hope to fly with ya soon! Kevin
  7. Really? How does it do that? That Delorme GPS is absolutely perfect if I can log altitude. Size, weight, price, USB. Good stuff. Well the USB isn't going to help you much unless you take a laptop with you :) i was planning on using my handspring. GPSes can tell you your altitude based on the sats, with my street atlas software i can load up a screen that tells me how high I am.. Kevin
  8. Delorme does not have a barometric altimiter if that is what you mean, but the software i have found to use with it does all the altitude logging. Kevin
  9. I'm not sure about the heatwave, but on my hornet the logo is a seperate piece that is sewn on, you can take it off. -Kevin
  10. There you have it .... Ahh but will they trade them out ?? :) Hopefully it won't matter much when I get my neptune.. Kevin

    tailspin

Yes that would be difficult and unsafe, but what about skysurfing behind a casa with some type of cable? Slowly let them out via a winch or something? Probably wouldn't last long but you might could pull it off.. of course when you let go of the cable it will be flopping around a good bit.. maybe it isn't a good idea.
  12. Definitely. That's what I do, as well. Putting in one's helmet is pretty much guaranteed to shut it if you look around at all. Well i've done it with wearing two, one on my goggles (no helmet) and one in my shoe.. both of them consistently shut off when I was maxing the suit out.. approximately 19 - 24 seconds into the flight... i've done it 3 or 4 times now. According to TB99 it is 6 seconds @ : 13 meter/second = 29.0801718 mile/hour (mph)
  13. Okay.. for you metallica fans out there, I was watching the video for st anger.. looks like it was shot at a prision, possibly during a "free concert" for inmates.. anyone know if this was staged or for real?
  14. whoever took those pics needs a lesson in picture taking.. they didn't even get you in frame! ;)
  15. niice.. like the severed hands piece.. and the sheetmetal piece! woah it just gets better! man that was great.. little slow at first but great!
  16. Yuri, how teh hell are you getting protrak readings? When I flew that suit it consistently shut off my protrak 19 seconds into the flight..
  17. I thought peppermint was banned? Is he still sexually confused? humm..

  20. Deland is full of them :)
  21. About the show or about tv in general?
  22. Okay, so I don't watch much tv.. i used to make it a habit of watching friends and ER, occasionally cops but i am not typically home (at the dz) when cops comes on.. I'm also fond of dateline and the like Anyway was over at the neighbors house flipping around and landed on a show called fake it or something? I can't remember.. the premise of it was that they take someone who doesn't work in a particular trade and train them in 3 weeks then put them up against people who have been in the industry for many years with judges.. the judge tries to figure out who was the "fake" this particular one was this beer connisour who hasn't done jack with wine, they fly him to san fran to be one of those guys whose whole job is to serve wine.. quite interesting.. So anyway, what shows do you watch? Anything good on these days? I've seen dog eat dog, thought that was stupid.. saw pieces of Tom Green's new show.. that has some funny parts to it but I think it is another destined-for-failure show.. and i'm excited to see snoop's new show coming on at 10! Lets see what other crap tv can bring us. I'm so glad i have cable.
  23. i don't think you can just say that.. someone who does a high altitude jump is obviously going to a cover a lot more distance than someone doing a base jump.. if you want to really have a jaw drop then you should say "how far has someone traveled from 3,000 feet" or something.. i've done 4.5 - 5 miles from 12,500 before pulling at 4,000 with not too much problem. I'm pretty sure i remember the guy on TLC who had a suit he was desiging went 10 miles from 22k? something like that. Kevin
  24. i hope someone will post pictures throughout the boogie for us :)
