I would like to add that there is never a point in skydiving where you have enough experience or skill that it is entirely safe. Experience and skill can save your ass when you find yourself in a bad situation, but those are only gained through jumping and sometimes they are not enough. Also wanted to add that if you jump enough sooner or later you will find yourself in a bad situation having to make a tough decision very quickly with no time to think.

I would be surprised if terrorists or anyone transmitting illegal information or secret communications weren't using some type of encryption like PGP. If I had anything worth encrypting I would be using it.

Mine has the two snaps along with the velcro.
-
I think either option is available. The storm flap seems to me to be more reliable. I think that's more of a personal preference as to which is better.

I don't have the race collar. I just have the low collar and the small storm flap with my last name embroidered on the back of the collar. Not sure if would like the race collar or not. The storm flap is great for flying in the tunnel. I don't have to put any tape on the zipper or worry about it coming down at all. The fit is great for me even in the crotch area. My suit has the neoprene like spandex on the back and the crotch area and in areas of the legs.

Mine fit perfectly the first time, but that really depends on accurate measurements. I think the storm flap is a flap with velcro that covers the zipper and holds it in place. Works great even in the tunnel. I have seen suits that have this flap covering the entire zipper. I don't think I would like that, mine doesn't and also has snaps along with the velcro. Race style collar is a high collar like race car drivers have on their suits. The other collars are what they say. I have the lower collar on my suit. If I were you I would email or call Vladi with your questions, especially those regarding logo's. I have no complaints about my suit. It's by far the best suit I have ever owned.

Right, but I don't understand why he isn't able to rename the computer with out removing it from the domain. I have renamed computers many times with out removing them from the domain.
-
Not when changing a computer name and the name wasn't used by another computer. If it were in use by another computer then you should get the same error when removing the computer from the domain and readding with the computer name that returned the error.

You can do that if the account wasn't already created, but it was. Pinkfairy, I am one of the admins. Normally we would have a local admin account set on the PC's; we do that when we get new pc's in or mess with those already in the building; these however came from another building, we're using them as we're scrounging around for a few extra grad student computers. I still don't understand. I have about 100 computers on my segment of the domain and they all have computer accounts. I can easily change the name of any of them without removing them from the Active Directory domain.
-
Why couldn't you just rename with out removing it from the domain?? I can do that all day long on my domain? btw with out a valid admin account password you will need to hack the computer using something like ERD commander.

Should the government get your paycheck first?
beowulf replied to SkyPiggie's topic in Speakers Corner
This is far from an ideal world. I wouldn't want to fight the Gov for losing my check. The fewer people touching my check the better. -
Should the government get your paycheck first?
beowulf replied to SkyPiggie's topic in Speakers Corner
No it's not the same thing. The taxes are estimated and paid by the company. The company usually over pays on taxes so that is why I nearly always get a tax return at the end of the year. That is a big difference from sending the whole check to the Gov and then the Gov paying me. -
You are missing the point. There is no issue with buying used set of DVD's. There is a big issue with buying illegal copies of the DVD's and that is one of the options you requested. Very tacky and wrong. The people involved in the making of those DVD's most likely frequent this website. Just imagine yourself being on their end this deal! The skydiving community is pretty small and you just made yourself look like an asshole.

Wow you are truly obsessed with barrel rolls!! This has been beat to death and you still keep bringing it up.

Agreed. Although I wouldn't go as far as to say it "supports" pedophilia. I don't believe that to be accurate. However, it knowingly covers it up or tries to hide it to 'save face'. Which is just as unacceptable. Yeah, I agree that's why added the word essentially. I don't think they directly support pedophilia but they certainly are making it easier for their priests to get a way with it.

I love my Skydive Dallas DZ family!

Damn! That sucks! Hope you heal up quickly. -
I find it interesting that the focus is on atheism, when the real issue is an organization that by its inaction and actions essentially supports pedophilia. No one should be exempt from prosecution, especially for crimes against children. I think the Pope should stand trial for obstruction of justice. He is the leader of an organization that is protecting men who have committed horrendous crimes against children.

Times have changed and times are strange Here I come but I ain't the same

How seriously do you take skydiving?
beowulf replied to RUN_FMX's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Pretty much all of my weekends and any vacations are taken up by skydiving. Most of the skydiving that I do is all team training and getting ready to compete at USPA Nationals. This will be my 4th year competing at Nationals. I am a competitor and competition is what gets me going. -
I think learning some basic CRW would help. It could be just no contact CRW. Learning to deal with others in a flight pattern is something that isn't generally taught.

Things you dont like about skydiving?
beowulf replied to swoopfly's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Yea but it still sucks. -

I really don't like those morons that think death is an accepted and common part of skydiving and that it's no big deal. Those people really piss me off. -
Things you dont like about skydiving?
beowulf replied to swoopfly's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
You obviously don't know what you are talking about! How long have you been in the sport? How many jumps do you have? How many of your friends are dead due to skydiving? There is nothing to like about seeing someone go in. -
Things you dont like about skydiving?
beowulf replied to swoopfly's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Doubt anything can trump this. The list of those alive but paralyzed for life? -
In essence your rebuttal is "you don't know what you are talking about". That's not a very convincing response.
