  6. as to the vx going out of trim and risers and all that, the canopy is fine when he puts it in his javelin, or reflex. later
  7. what's up a friend and i were discussing something saturday. what it was about was people with a high wing loading (1.8 or 1.9 or more) and people with a 100 sq ft canopy or smaller what kind of harness do you have. like hip rings, hip and chest, or just a standard harness. the reason we would like to know is, he has a voodoo, and when he puts his vx in there it has a right turn, his voodoo has hip and chest rings, and on one side it is a 1/8 of a inch longer then the other. and what sucks is, it is still within the tolorance the manufactorers allow. and with a ringed harness, it is a bit harder to find, or make perfect, or that's what RI told him. and it seams like it would be easier to screw up a bit on measurements with a ringed harness than with a standard one. and we were wondering what the people that have these small canopies jump. and why. like if you got a ringed harness for a reason with your canopy, other than just comfort. or if you got a standard harness because of your highly loaded or small canopy. and i don't want to sound like a ass (and i know i do by saying this) but with people that don't load up there canopies much, or not have a 100 or smaller sq ft canopy, please keep your comments to the minimum. thanks
  8. well, more than likely. but i still think 25 bucks for it is a bit steep. i will still pay it if i had to (i made my own once) and i think others will still pay also, and just bitch about the price ya, what the hell, like someone is trying to make a living off of building canopy's and other things later
  9. ya, i can't give ya too much shit, you did come pick me up from my appartment. ya, i'm leaving one like the 31, and be in FL the first week of april, and then coming back monday morning. i'll only be a little bit late for school later
  10. do they have to put the HMA lines one when they do this?? and also, how much was it to get done?? thanks
  11. Seems odd to me that there are Slinks for your main and slinks for your reserve and that there is a considerable price difference, $25 as opposed to $30, since the labor costs would be equall and the heavier Spectra for the reserve Slink is only .10 (or less) per yard more expensive. Couldn't/shouldn't you just use the stronger Slink for both canopies? Couldn't they be sold for $25? I can make a set of 4 soft links, for my main, for less than $2.50 at Para Gear's retail prices and do it in about 15 minutes. alan *** they charge it because they can. there is no real reason that i can come up with. it's just because they can. people will buy em. later
  12. well, jamie said he was coming back up in like a month or so. and i see how it kevin. bastard later
  13. a rigger can do it. later
  14. that's nice. very nice. later
  15. hehe, i can see it now, the viper will be the first rig with colored hardware. it will be a selling point. later
  16. the reason i said that is to checking, and it wouldn't even be 30 sec. what it comes down to is that the pull out is easier to screw up. and for some of the people here at home, it takes a bit longer. i tend to do a bit of closer gear check when i switched to pull out. if it makes everyone feel better, forget i said it. later
  17. well, if you want to be really careful, and check everything close. and it does take a bit longer to pack a pull out, for me at least. i can pack a regular boc a bit faster than pull out, but not 30 sec.s faster, just a bit, i'm not even sure how much. later
  18. i do and it's a good one too. cool pic on the front. later
  19. well, as it has been said, i guess they don't have too many jumps under them, but swanson got like third in a swoop comp a while back. like some swoop comp on a beach, maybe in brazil, or venezuela or somthing like that. so, it can't be that bad of a canopy later
  20. ramon i think your in this months parachutist aren't you. later
  21. ya, that's what i was going to say. later
  22. and the damn racer "dildo's" for the handl suck ass. i hate those. they don't seam too secure either. later
  23. hehehe, well i will admit, you have to be bit more careful packing. and Yoshi knows all about that. he packed a total for one of our friends, and it is very easy to miss. so it takes an extra 30 sec.s to pack, and riggerrob's bussiness will go back down and as to it being a harder pull, i don't think so. if you have your gromet out, then it is no problem, but if you have your gromet covered by the closing flaps, you could have a hard pull. and someone said something about droping it, well, i have droped mine once or twice and i had no problem finding it flaping around to pull. so that is really no big deal. later
  24. like the flite suit D wings, or what ever the biggest ones are. or the Tony suit C wings. that's what i have. i own a Flite suit with the huge wings, and have jumped the C wings. i don't know, i haven't had a problem, yet later
