  1. at my dz. i think 4 people 5 canopies me- 85 vx kurk- 69 vx and 86 fx brad- 94 vx jess- 109 vx and another 109 vx but jess only shows up every once in a while. but that's it. lots of crossfires. like almost all the rest are crossfires. a couple stilleto's, and safires, and like 2 pro series. later
  2. ya, but sda is a great dz. other than that one little rig. and as to it being a dog..................well that's what larry said. i was like larry that's a full eliptical canopy, (larry) ya, but's it's dog, it will be fine. later
  3. dude i totally recomend the crossfire 2. it's a great canopy. if you want to go crossbraced. i really love my vx, and i use it for camera. the velocity opens great. and the line of xaos's open great. do a seach and you'll find something about each of these canopies. but if your looking for just the next step above your stilleto, it would be a crossfire 2. later
  4. i totally agree. but it is funny skydive america has a diablo 170 in one of the student rigs. i know the instructors there try to stay away from that rig as much as possible. later
  5. s/l. that's what my dad said i was going to do. and since we didn't offer aff (even though i did some harness holds, hey everyone wanted to take the 11 year old kid up). later
  6. well that kinda sucks . but i hope you like your new job better (if there is one) later
  7. 2 182's (year round, but only 1 running right now ) 1 caravan. (march to like october) and for a week we get a lot of really cool planes (no i didn't count these) but this past year, we had 3 otters, 2 caravans, and a C-130. i'm talking about the richmond boogie, best boogie around later
  8. hey, have fun. but be very carful. if you profile is up-dated, that is a big jump from a 210 to a 170. do a bunch of high altitude hop'n pops. like 13000 foot ones. lean the canopy. later, be safe.
  9. i seem to remember action air selling a sigma tandem, but it had a reserve, cypres, and a icarus 330 main. but you could call to see if they still have it, and see if you could get just the container or something. later
  10. i would recomend a w-4. that way you can put a very wide range of mains in there (i've put a 69 vx, to a 120 heatwave). and the reserve will hold either a pdr 113 or a pdr 126. but get the ext unless you have a short torso, other wise it kinda sits high up on your back, like mine. later
  11. um, i'm not sure what kind of wings your looking at, but i've never seen one with secondary riser covers later
  12. the xaos is a good canopy. i just find it very similar to the vx in the flight. not on opening, or riser pressure. i wouldn't say that the heavey rear riser pressure would mean longer swoops at all. i found that the vx and xaos that i jumped both had about the same swoop distance, on toggles and rears. the thing with the vx is you have to have you hook perfect. you can't really adjust it very much. you can let up, but can't pull the riser down anymore if your a bit high. with the xaos and velocity and fx you can. later
  13. what's up. i jump a wings. i love it. one of the best rigs on the market. very comfortable. the list would go on and on about how good this container is. and for the price, you can't pass it up, it's a first class rig, and you don't have to pay for it. the only complaint is that at first they are kinda of a bear to pack the reserves at first, but it's not bad once you get used to it. if you have any questions, like specifics about the rig, PM me. later
  14. hahahaha. that's funny as hell. later
  15. i don't believe u. your trying to trick us all. later
  16. cool. i couldn't remember the exact year. later
  17. well, i would think yes. but at the richmond boogie this year, yanky doodle (skydive america otter with -34's) and one of roger nelson's otters raced (new -27's) and nelson's won. you can't max out the -34's from what i under stand. later
  18. i am thinking even a small caravan has a max load of 17 jumpers. i haven't seen one that will only carry 14. and a grand caravan will carry 19 (well, 21, but at my dz, we don't put anyone in the back). later
  19. make it clicky http://www.defendamerica.mil/nmam.html later
  20. yes, the caravan is much better on fuel per a load. you have to think only 1 engine. i don't know how much less it burns a load, i can't remember.. but i seam to remember someone telling me a otter burns 45 gallons a load. later
  21. make it clicky http://www.performancedesigns.com/docs/Res_Pro_Addendum.PDF later
  22. i'm not in the area, but am just wondering why?? later
  23. that's what i thought, but i was just checking. later
  24. jerm. about 3/4 a way through the video, there is a little collision, then it backs up, and then go in slow-motion, and after that in the slow-motion, someone pulls, was that a premature?? or was it someone pulling on purpose?? later
