any pics ?? later -
ya, i think i will be going out to the airport as soon as school gets out. as long as my stupid english teacher doesn't give me all kinds of homework. oh hell, i'll be out anyway later
-
no, the memorial jump vid i have (or my buddy jason has, he made it) is like some family (2) doing a tandem, and like a 7 way or something with each person having a bit of his ashes (all good friends) to spred when they all got under canopy, it was really cool. later
-
well, i may go to a reunion when i graduate one of these days but they do seem kinda stupid. edit: spelling later
-
oh hell kevin, when u get that damn thing built, i'll go jump it, and if i feel like i can half way land it will will GROW SOME damnit. but seriouly i will later
-
i had mine on the outside of my nevertigo, and i lost it on opening one day. but i wasn't informed that l+b will replace it if that happens. so i spend another 300 bucks on one. i know have mindwarp, new version, and it is on the inside. i would never have a helmet with the dyter mounted on the outside again. but that's just me. later
-
PM me. i can get you a copy. i assume your talking about his ash dive right. made in Indiana after his funeral. later
-
what happens there is the rigger may of gotten a bit too much bridle under the side flaps. i know it says to put about a inch on either side under the flaps, i don't put that much under that flaps (if any at all). after i fired mine the first time, i changed it a bit. just made the bridle folds a bit shorter, easy to fix. later

that kinda sucks that there putting lee on tv still, after he died. i would think they would stop doing that out of respect or something. i don't know. later
-
ok, i think i am a bit confused. why do you need to know how to hold a stall??? this just seams a bit confusing to me. yes, you do gain something from it, but i am not sure that it is much of a benifit, please explain you reasoning
-
well, i don't think it was going over 400 mph, but it was hallin ass. if you see the exit, you see (i think jason peters) tucked up tight ass hell head down, and it was still pulling away from him. so it was movin, FAST. i was disapointed though, i knew it more than likely would do what it did, but i was hoping thas it would bounce back up really high, but i hade my hopes set too high later
-
so, kevin, you going to do like a little drop test, to see how it opens. i mean, with slider size, who knows how hard it may open. or u may put too big of a slider on and have it take 2000 feet to open. i know where we can get a dummy to go test it.............it will just be a month or 2 befor vern gets back later
-
go for the large, you can always put some more padding in it. later

MTV sucks dude. they only have dumbass shows (well, jackass is funny in it's own stupid way ). i can't stand watching it until really late at night, when it's just music video's. or i used to watch MTV 2, but when we went back to cable, they didn't offer it anymore. later
-
hell ya, i'll second that. later
-
what size is it?? edit: it could be your just used to a longer rig, and will take a bit of getting used to smaller one. i had to with my wings (it's not a ext). i'm only 5'7 or 5'8, but i have a very long torso for my body. later
-
there is no reason to completely stall any crossed braced canopy. none. you can find were the stall point is. like hold the brakes till it starts to fold, but don't let it. if you really really have to stall it and hold it, i hope you like your reserve. my dad did this on his first jump on a fx, didn't even get to land it. had to chop it because he stalled it, and held and it spun up on him. but hey, it's just my opinion right. later
-
wow, i see it. i am usally too dumb to find things like these, but i see this one

cool pics later -
that's a big mith. not true. someone at my dz used to think that, and was telling our most experience swooper that he's going to collapes his canopy if he hooks in high wind. i thought it was pretty funny. airspeed is airspeed, it's consistant. it's ground speed that will change. now, if you hook in turbulant air, then that's different. but if your in the middle of a field with no buildings, trees, anything to cause turbulance, you will have no problem at all. period. later
-
it means you stall at a high speed basically, what their talking about is if you hook, and then grab your rears, and pull to far down, you'll stall the canopy, even if your going really fast. someone correct me if i'm wrong later
-
congrats on hitting 1000!!! and hope the next 1000 are just as good (and those after of course ) later
-
ya, same questions, but for skydive wayne county. we need one up this way too. later

skygod7777 replied to skygod7777's topic in Swooping and Canopy Control
well, i agree with eames. it does kinda look like he was trying to find them, but missed, but maybe he got them like right before he hit, who knows. later -
