Hey guys, I have been searching for a gear bag for my rigging tools and had a real tough time finding one that really suited our needs. Tackle boxes had too many small compartments. Hard tool boxes didnt have enough small compartments. Soft tool boxes had all the pockets for medium sized items on the outside of the bag. The specialized bag from Paragear is way over priced. After searching many stores and driving all over town comparing cases I found the Husky 13" Multi-Compartment Tool Carrier. Part #109 636. Home Depot had it for $29.99. It has a front zip pouch for your log book. A zip down front with inside pouches for your medium and small tools; scale, seal press, bodkins, etc. And a seperate large inside for paddles, clamps, wrenches, compartment box for pull up cords etc. , and even fits a large binder for manuals. Has outside pockets if you need to fit more stuff. It wont fit the sewing machine :) but has everything I need to travel and pack a rig. It looks to be built well and durable for the long haul, hell, it was built for a construction site. Picture of the setup attached below. My favorite memories of Mariann Meeting her right when she started jumping (at Gainsville I believe..wow, so long ago) and hearing her story of going through AFF and riding the plane down multiple times. Until Roger Nelson was able to coax her through it. Getting her first head down dock. She was so smooth I had no idea it was a first until she exclaimed it on the ground afterwards. The gatherings at her and Steve's house. Especially the one that was the last time we all hung out with our dearly departed friend Carter. All the nights of music and dancing Watching her train students at the horse stables. It was cool getting to watch a side of her life that people at the DZ didnt see. Seeing her spirit in recovering from injuries and continuing to jump. Our last sit-down conversation after I moved back to Dallas, catching up on each others lives since I was gone. So many memories I just couldnt list them all here. Mariann was such a dear friend and we will all miss her presence and spirit immensely. $9.99 pair of Rustlers from Wal-Mart cut off at the knee along with a synthetic material Tshirt. It's too hot in the south to be wearing a full suit. I call it my high-tech redneck tandem suit. I slid those bad-boys in 750+ times last year and couldnt hurt them. And if they did wear out, throw em' in the gutter and go buy another. You have to have the right attitude to wear them though as I get made fun of by my fellow jumpers. Uh, yes because it's dangerous! As a TI from what you have described to me I personaly would not let you video me in freefall. You do not meet the minumum qualifications to film tandems nor have the freefall skills to do so safely if you cant stay down with the faster ones. Please Please Please do not use tandems for freefly practice!!!!! I dont want to hear about this in the incident forums. Instructional Rating Manual Section 4-5: Video and Camera 3. I was just looking at an advertisment and it got me thinking about something that I have noticed quite often. I have seen stickers, t-shirts, advertisments, all with a picture or silhouette of a person in a sit or inverted and they are always in a really bad body position. If I was to advertise or try and sell a product I would want to have the person in the art work at least flying correctly with good technique. No, I dont need a camera flyer f'ing up my exit. Once I have a drouge out and have done my handle checks I have alowed a camera flyer (and TI) whom I trust to dock on my students hands but not on their harness. _________________________ goat derka jerka bukkake jihad

I tell my customers to give me their rig without the main attached. If it is attached or packed when it gets in the loft, I unpack it, inspect it, and repack it for an additional $10. 1. How many people actually inspect their main canopy systems? Probably about the same # that inspect their container before jumping all weekend. very few. 2. I believe that if the risers get disconnected it should at the very least be 4 lined. I do a full continuity check (and have found mains put on links incorrectly) 3. My customers can make their next jump with security knowing that they have a FULLY inspected system on their back. I unpacked a main once, and while holding the lines up took the bag off the canopy. The canopy retained the shape of the bag, didnt budge one inch. Yea it woulda opened, but i wouldnt have wanted to jump it. _________________________ goat derka jerka bukkake jihad

Cant find your packing clamps? You could just use 4 batteries and place them on top of the folded canopy to keep your packjob nice and neat. I also find it easy when in the field and dont have a packing weight to pull my car onto the top of the rig to keep it from moving. Yeah, the old ones are great for camera and CRW, especially when your toggle comes out and wraps around your camera. The picture does not show the first part of the stunt, pulling the crap out of the toilet in freefall and putting it on their backs. Or the last half of the stunt, when they both pull their reserve handles and one gets bopped in the back of the head with his reserve PC and the other fails to open at all. For the same reason you have to buy text books for college. At least with skydiving ratings a good day of work at the DZ and you'll make your money back. Or you can go the cheap route and buy a Kenko .45 from B&H photo.com I considered the same thing and then thought that I can buy 3 Kenko lenses to 1 smaller expensive lense. I bought a lense filter/protector too but I just took it off cuz I can just go buy 2 more if it gets scratched. ha. Now it is way bigger than the Cookie, so if you want to go for size then go with the Cookie. I personally know of 1 person falling for it. They tried to get me, I even strung them along to the point where they sent me 3 bogus $1000 money orders. They complained once about me not sending them the "refund" when I promptly told them I reported them to the FBI. I never heard anything about the "$3000" they sent me after that. Funny that they wouldnt want their thousands of dollars back
