Judy and others can sit here and take shots and criticize Robs grammar all day. But if any one wants confirmation, I can tell you Rob has let numerous people take WHOLE rigs from him to jump with and pay off later. Rob has given back ten fold to the skydiving community when it comes to helping people get gear to jump with little money up front. I can't speak on the situation you bring up because I dont know the details, but I do know if Rob did walk away from your deal, he has stood and faced up to every one that I have personally seen him in. It sounds like your pissed because he didnt give you $300 after he decided to not buy the canopy. Too many people want to criticize Rob because they have a problem with skyride. Rob is not skyride, nor is the DZ he manages. The first time I smelt a tandem students bad breath during freefall. I could tell it was bad on the ground but did my best to not stand directly in front of him. Right after I pitched the drogue a very strong aroma permeated freefall. I believe this is the correct direction that we need to take. Option 3 seems the best so that individual DZs can seperate traffic in a way that works for them. I would suggest that link to everyone from the beginer to the electronic music "pro". I though I knew alot about electronic music but this site really makes the history and evolution clear with lots of examples of the different types of music. Maybe this will help some riggers with remembering tools. I made a document in Excel that lists most of the tools in my rigging kit. Follow these steps to make a nice laminated tool check off card. 1. Print document and cut into desired width 2. Laminate document to make durable, re-markable tool list 3. Use a dry erase marker to check tools out of your kit as you use them. 4. After finishing pack job, erase the dry erase marks as you put tools back in your tool box 5. Have confidence you didnt pack any tools into your reserve pack job because you were thorough in checking your tools in and out of your tool box. I've never been tipped for an AFF jump. I have been tipped for quite a few tandems. All of the tips were received from one jump students and not from people going through tandem progression training. You're not going to find a huge difference between cost of AFF at different drop zones. Call a few different ones to compare prices. Static Line progression was great in 1978. Does it work? Yes. Is AFF a better training program? Absolutely! _________________________ goat derka jerka bukkake jihad

It was cancelled because all of the people who were treated extremely badly by the security and police at WFFC 1999 and beyond. The attendance did nothing but go down after the locals started coming into the boogie starting trouble, and security was beefed up to the presence of riot police to stop all those horrible unauthorized parties away from the beer tent. Haven't you noticed that all the cool kids wear skate shoes? DC, Vans, Etnies, etc.. The more you can make yourself look like a skateboarder the better you will fly, it's proven. Also make sure the laces are loose letting the tongue stick out to add extra smoothness to your transitions. You dont want to let people know you're posing by lacing them up real tight therefore crushing the tongue down. Add a skateboard company T-shirt and some gatorz sunglasses and you'll be flying like the top pro teams in no time. It adds like the equivalent of 5000 freefly jumps as soon as you pose like a skater, it's been proven. I mean, look at the guy wearing those tight ass wranglers, and the velcro closed pro-wing shoes. He will be flailing around on his back until he realizes all he needs is a pair of skate shoes to fly correctly. Just dont get on a real skateboard, you'll give yourself away and people will laugh at you for wearing skate shoes not being able to skate. Happy freeflying...... P.S. - On the real - EVERYBODY LISTEN - If you havnt been wearing skateboard shoes at least before your skydiving/freeflying career and you dont skate, please dont buy any. I really do laugh at you. I'll just elaborate on what andrew had to say. I S-fold the bridle on top of the main bag at the upper part of the pack tray. I then grab the bridle right under the pilot chute and move my hand upward twords the top of the pilot chute till I reach the fabric. This results in the "mushroom" shape. I then take the "mushroom cap" of fabric and bring it down over the mesh and center line. Place this on top of the bridle. For my Mirage - I then close the bottom and top and one of the sides. For the last flap I make sure the grommet tab on the pilot chute is pulled down lower than the rest so it sticks out from under neath the last flap as I close it. It's very important that this tab protrudes out from underneath the flap and not stuck up under it. Also watch when people give you a pin check cuz someone will try and help you by sticking the tab up underneath the flap not knowing they could give you a hard pull or a total. Stow the pin bridle. On deployment extend your arm all the way out before chunking the pud to make sure you have pulled the pin. Have fun

The first step in freeflying is learning to fly on your back (and you dont need a tunnel to do so like someone else mentioned.) So go out and learn to backfly, then learn how to sit. That's why I have a "no lurker rule". I have stuck to this rule for years cuz it seams that everytime a lurker comes along they either get in the way, bump into me at some point, or orbit around the skydive never holding a position. So, I have not let a lurker come along for quite awhile and then this past weekend the instructor I was working with for the day comes over and asks if it would be OK if this girls boyfriend can come along and lurk her AFF level 2. After all, he has 700 jumps, is extremely current, and a memeber of a team. Reluctantly I said OK if he stays to the rear or the side of the skydive so as not to distract the student and that I can see his positioning during the jump. Well, after exit we level out and what's the first damn thing I see. This guy swoops down, falls right past the other instructor, gets below him and steals his air.
