  1. Ya know a nice vintage wonderhog would hold that RW real smooth like. Besides if you find a large "modern" piggy back and put it in there, it's a lot of fun to go to dz where no one knows what you have in there till track away from a larger RW dive and deploy. "THAT GUYS CANOPY BLEW UP, LOOK AT ALL THE HOLES IN IT"! Kids, you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  2. Dispite what those other guys say about you.....your an alright dude. Hey Terry, this mean you'll be down for the all round load? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  3. RTFM! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  4. As Terry said, you got one to get rid of? you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  5. The H/C might be a good one for those who need a big ass pack tray for a PC to put in it, just because it's old don't mean it's junk, but don't mean it's worth a small fortune as well. Let us know what it is. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  6. Well I know a lot of people who find both of those guys to great CD's. My impression of both of them for two courses being held @ a dz I was manger at was less then impressive and reminded me of a couple ego tripped high school punks and it was more about who was a "team player" meaning ass kisser then about how well you could fly your slot. I wasn't in those two courses, I got to sit on the side line and watch the whole show & yes I have an AFF rating. Keep in mind this like 12 to 15 years ago, I think the newer guys like Bram (who I've watched run 3 courses) that don't play all that high school game play'n bullshit run a top notch class and teach you not only how to fly your slots and fly it well, you can learn a little about how to teach as well. On a side note a good friend on mine went and spent two weeks in Hawaii with B.R. and got stiffed on his eval pay and B.R. don't return phone calls or email. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  7. That's because Billy and those other old school AFF CD's think that acting like pricks and play acting in those stupid made up "students' they like to play is teaching you to not be a retard. If you think it's bad with just B.R. alone you should have seen it when there was Billy & Don Yarling teaching the same course. You haven't even started to seen game playing. 8. Well I couldn't believe it myself had I not seen it first hand. Yes the loads stopped for awhlie, BUT it was the people who were standing around an outside manifest area bitchen quite loudly about "why are we shut down, we shouldn't have to miss out on our jumps, because that guys dead, we only have a few hours to get our jumps in" more or less verbatim. Loud enough I could hear it word for word while working my ass off trading pumps and air input with the other person helping to do CPR. Now I'm no EMT but those who are will tell you on a hot summer day doing it for 10 minutes or so waiting on the real medical help to show up is one hell of a work out! I'm lucky to jump now where the are a number of trained medical pro's who jump and do the responding to dz medical needs and we stop jump op's till things are taken care depending on what has happened, a death we shut down for the day, luckly only has been twice @ that airfield. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  9. Yea I hear the same thing and still have to "go to closet, open door & get riggers kit, move one small table & chair & start the repack, once done, seal & stamp card, no drive anywhere". Funny how that works.
  10. Hello, We have talked about this before in another thread and for some reason you still feel the need to ask again. No harm in doing so! For some reason I get the feeling you have been told some of the bogus bullshit going around the industry after a couple people bounced in reflex rigs. Most of what you hear is just that, bullshit! Like any rig on the market today, the reflex is subject to the abuse and wear and tear of use and it needs to be inspected for damage. Some riggers don't want to pack them, just like racers, those of us who do pack them find that silly, but to each their own under their ticket. If your finding a hassle of owning a reflex and getting packed where you jump, then deal with it or move on to another dz. You can also make the drive to the farm and have your rigging done @ www.chutingstar.com and I'm sure Mike will be happy to pack your reflex with or without the catapult installed on it. Don'tlisten to the hype and if you really want to get the inside scoop do a search for "riggermick" while he don;t post much anymore, he might answer your PM. But you will find his post and his view if you seek them out, he would know, he built and tested them. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  11. Yo, I understand where your coming from, but my comment "asshat" was in general about people & not about anyone person. It wouldn't be the first time one of my post was removed for being in the wrong, sometimes, like everyone else here, I fuk up. It was not removed nor was I banned, so I assume the mods felt I wasn't out of line, other wise I would have heard about it. Dispite what some people believe, the mods play no favors to those they like or dislike, I have found them to be more then fair in their dealings with me when I have been out of line. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  12. Yea that would look kind of funny next to the stamp of my sig, and would be very clear your forged it to any manifest with half a brain, or the FAA on a ramp check and that is the main reason I choose to use a signature stamp and not just sign my name. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  13. No< if you have it wired right you press it with your lips and keep it depressed it will keep a consistance air pressure on the switch and you"ll fire a lot of frames< so it will take you a little to get used to it if your not already flying with one. Mine originally had a factory one installed, after a few years of use of bite'n on it the rubber starts to crack and you will start to get spit back in the tube, so I always replace it in this manner, little bit of glue to hold it in place, make sure you use a rubber friendly glue so it don;t melt. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  14. Go to your local CVS or Wal-mart and get you an eye dropper, take it home and pull off the bulb and stick it on your blow tubing, no more spit and slime in tube and if you drop your tube in FF or under canopy you don't fire off till your card is full. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  15. Ok, I just go to closet, open door & get riggers kit, move one small table & chair & start the repack, once done, seal & stamp card, no drive anywhere. Reserve parachute 800.00 Repack cost in 75.00 (it gone up) New 2007 Honda odssey 30,000 gallon of fuel 3.45 Having own riggers ticket Priceless
  16. Pretty easy click the url button under the text window, paste your link, click url button again, presto you have clicky.... you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  17. Thanks, good to know your still being kept up to date, thanks again for your reply. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  18. I did a google search last night, has there been any progress at all in this case that just hasn't been reported yet? I hope so. best wishes to you all! you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  19. And you wonder why the riggers are charging more for the work they do, we have to drive to ya know. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  20. Exactly! There always has to be some asshat trying to cash in on the next beggest thing or trying to invent the next biggest thing(automonuti comes to mind), I think Mr. Peek had a thread about just that topic. After watching the motor cycle stunt video, IMHO T.P. is a dead guy walking and is just to young & stupid to know it, only time will tell, but after seeing how he delt with getting the catus pulled out of his ass and the comments he made, it's was soooooooo cool dude! And to be so brazen as to claim 199 lives, far better a jumper/base jumpers thought they wouldn't bounce too. Oh well, should make good video to sell to faces of death, real TV, inside edition, Spike TV.ETC. IMHO. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  21. How many DZ's you been thrown off for not touting the party line? Or how DZO's have you had get in your face and threaten to throw you off because of what you do or say off the dz? How many deaths or incidents have you been involved in where you could be called in to court to testify and have your words/post used in court? When you can answer that, then you'll understand why people feel the need to remain unknown. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  22. Hey Ozzy make it easy for us lazy asses next time.. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  23. Hey your friends (arron) are looking out for you and told me to make sure I wasn't talking to the EX selling your stuff. Sorry to hear the bum idea will have to wait till retirement. Glad you got a job, not an east task these days. Thanks for the replies and email. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  24. Shit in a lot of places one pack job won't even buy two jumps from a 182 from 10K, let alone a turbine jumpship to 13K. So yea I see a price increase in 2008. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
  25. No I'm flaming the seven other people who we have wasted ton of emails and phone calls on setting up inspections and brokered deals only to get blown off. I expect people to sell their rigs for the best price, what I don't expect is people to say one thing such as I'll send the rig next week and then sell it local without so much as a phone call to let everyone know the deals off. People like myself bend over backwards to broker deals for buyers & sellers and we take no money for helping the deal go through and see to it no one get's ripped off, so when people waste our time it gets real old and those words were/ are directed at anyone who places advert's wanting to sell their gear this close to the start of the season. I guess from now on I need to start charging brokers fees to everyone in the transaction, how's 10% sound. And in your case I was asked point blank by my buyer, "why do people post ad's on DZ.com and then not respond to buyers" I had no answer other then I don't know and told him I would try to contact you as well, so after no reply in a timely manner I posted to ask if anyone knows you in hopes of tracking you down, after all you state in your profile your unemployed, so for all I know your a dz bum sleeping under the wing of 182 in bumfuk Washington and packing student rigs for shower money and food from the local 7-11. You have the name of the buyer and his contact info, if you want to sell your rig for a cash deal then call him and work it out between the two of you. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo
