    Try to "flare" more in the 6 to 8 foot range, to high and you lose the "lift" and pound in. I'm around 220 out the door and stood up 8 out of 10 P.C. jumps last season, so your 145lb ass should be able to pull it off if you do it right, or not if you do it wrong. And don't let go at 3 ft. if any thing do a double pump and hold the second one, be ready to PLF. And for gods sake don't be a pussy and put that canopy in a modern rig, piggyback is ok, but belly warts are true retro.     well terry you maybe very wekk be right I have not done a search in a few years and will the SS# I bet your right, with i.d. stealing and nowodays. That is to bad But if someone called the local F.S.D.O. with a seal or cert. number they would get the info.     Yes it an airmans cert. ALL Airmans certs are in the database. If they are real. Pilots, A&P's, riggers. All you need is a seal or cert. number thats is on the packing datacard both will work. A really quick way to find out if someone is really a rigger, pilot, a&p or to find them, should you find something else that needS to be addressed like this and the party is not local.     I don't know how to go any faster than that beyond putting their seal code here and I am not going to do that. (quote) Howabout call the FAA or look it up on the FAA database on the webstie, all you need is the seal or the cert, number and it will give you the name and address ect. of the rigger if they really have a ticket, or a pilot for the matter.     I understand where your coming from, but I don't own a wings. My post was to the guy who wouldn't get out below 3k for a hop n pop.     I'll get out and I'm still going for my main. Even if I get a few seconds of PC hesitation, I'll be in the saddle by a grand. Unless it's an emergency, I am not going to do hop n pops from below 3 grand. Reeeeeeally, I think it's good pratice to be able to and be well virsed in getting out low, should the need ever arise to get out below 2000 you know you can do it and be quick about it. Instead of holding back in the door with gear fear or just fear alone, it might just save your ass one day. The next time your in a cessna have to pilot make a pass at 1200 to 1400ft and open the door, take you a good look out the door, if the pilot told you to "GET OUT NOW!" could you ?     People need to step up, show some morals and some backbone and tell the correct people what they witness about the situation out at the DZ is question. But instead they sit in the corner all quiet and let the RD take the heat, cause if they speak up, they might not be able to jump at that DZ, or their friends aren't going to like them anymore.     Why do we need to misunderstand each other?(quote) Because some people keep doing really stupid shit in the sport without thinking of how their actions hurt others and the sport as a whole, like jumping base rig's out of planes, like what happend at the royal gorge. Others know this crap is going to be done and don't speek up but go along with it because they think it is "cool" or "badass" thing to do till shit happends. As for RD's and uspa they have had the "good old boy" club take a look at dz's and dzo's before and sweep a lot under the rug doing a disservice to all members who pay dues.     Sony vx 2100. Very nice camera and light weight for a camera of it's size. I just got one for films, not for jumping, but it would fit real nice on top of my FTP and weight wouldn't be an issue if centered right, still would have room for flashes ect. I would jump mine if I didn't have 3k in it, but like it so much I have thought of finding a older vx 2000 on ebay to jump, but don't know if the 2000 is as light as a 2100. If you can afford to spend the money and not worrie about losing one,go for the 2100. The best price I have seen for one is butterfly out of NY, where I got mine, the camera alone was 2168.00.
